It was good and I tipped my masseuse once done as normal. As I was walking out- I was greeted by Nicole and she asked how my massage went. I said it was good but wished there was a bit more focus on the neck/shoulders (which I was expecting). She then kindly suggested getting the full body massage next time, as the combo mainly focuses on back and feet only. It was mainly on me since I didn't ask for clarification prior. Nicole saved the day by asking me to come back in. She generously offered me a mini massage session focusing on neck and shoulders only- all complementary! For this type of quality customer service, I'll be sure to come back!!! 1 minor con: Not sure what happened but they changed my masseuse 10 mins in and another person took over. However, they were generous with the time, so that made up for it. Pro-tips: -If unsure, ask/clarify the type of service you're getting prior to starting. It's really hard to put into words the quality of the massages here for the best *very* deep Chinese massage which was heavenly. I got a 90min massage with oil, hot stones and cupping because I had intense knots from a very long, mentally charged work day. I had two people really care for me and make sure my big knots were mitigated significantly. The lady and man (I forgot to ask their names) were so intentional, so attentive, yet the pressure was so so strong (hard to find) that I felt my severe headache being diminished by the minute. She provided the full time, didn't leave the room, etc. She asked numerous times if I was comfortable, okay, if the pressure was okay, and truly gave one of the best massages I have had in a long time. Very thorough, inquired about areas of pain, gave choices of oils and lotions-seemed really sincere about improving my pain and range of motion. The gentleman at the front desk also followed up with me to make sure the service was satisfactory and honestly it was above and beyond. Im very particular with my massage. Growing up in Asia and tried all different kinds of massage I must say, I know when someone is good and sincere to help a costumer that's in pain. It was not the best massage that I've had. However, I like how Lina was very patient and kind. Nobody knows my pain better than I do. Lina listened, and tried her best to cover all the aching spots in my body. Even though I requested a "hard" massage, Lina was not in a rush to finish and took her time to accommodate me. Got one of the best massages I've had in awhile here a couple of weeks ago and I'm calling in to try to make an appointment today! The couple of times I tried doing a walk-in, they were busy, so I personally would make an appointment first. I've been either disappointed at massages, or I've had uncomfortable experiences with pressure and stretching. While I can handle a good amount of pressure, there's often a point in every massage where I'm gritting my teeth trying to keep my muscles relaxed, or I can't quite communicate that the pressure is too much and I end up just having to bear it until they move on to the next thing. I will say that I have pretty sensitive feet, and I got a combo massage w/back and feet. At a certain point while my feet were getting done, I had a little bit of a hard time, but it was still relaxing enough for me to fall asleep during the foot portion. My masseuse last time struck a great balance between a massage that seemed therapeutic and helpful for my tense muscles, while still keeping the massage relaxing with all the work being done. 10/10 recommend. This was hands down one of the better massages I've received in years! Granted, I am not a "frequent flyer" for massages and typically go about once a year as a spa day for myself. Each time it's the same story. They ask "What are your problem areas?" and proceed to give the standard massage with no extra attention to these "problem areas". My husband and I wanted to try the couples massage and added cupping with it. The team that gave us massages never asked what our problem areas were and intuitively focused more energy in both of our problem areas. As a physical therapist, I appreciate this tremendously... you work with enough people and you can feel those problem areas without having to ask. The pair was so sweet, too!
