Fun egg hunt concept at the Redmond World Market, but overall our experience was disappointing. The…read moreinteraction with one staff member, Susan, felt awkward and uncomfortable--it almost felt like an interrogation. She asked if my friend and I were related because of the same-household rule. This seemed harmless at first, but when we explained that we were just friends, she responded with an "uhhh mmm, okay" tone that felt odd and dismissive, almost like we were lying. Considering every past World Market I've been to, staff would say "congratulations" or "nice job" instead of giving off that vibe. Susan mentioned she's had issues with families all getting one, but then another staff member, Ryan i believe, clarified the rule was about household--not relation. This left us confused, because hypothetically, had we been sisters, there's no way to know if we lived in the same household or not. The question of asking us if we were related could've been resolved after checking our IDs, which is required anyway to claim the prize--and she could've seen we didn't have the same last name. She could also have phrased the question better--asking if we lived in the same household rather than if we were related--rather than making assumptions based on our appearance. On top of that, she asked us three times where we found our eggs, and i genuinely feel like one answer should've been enough. We've participated in egg and Christmas hunts at other World Market locations in the past, and this kind of questioning has never happened to this extent. The way I was treated didn't feel fair or professional, and it made the experience unnecessarily uncomfortable. I found Susan, well...annoying. The only positive was Richard or Robert (someone named like that), who was kind and helpful, which we appreciated. Still a cute event, but the communication and approach this time left a lot to be desired.

Came to my second home away from home, and this location was in Seattle…read more This location was smaller than the ones here in Texas, but still had a huge selection. The staff very friendly and VERY helpful. I do not know if you know, but in Seattle, they charge a crayz tax for liquor (not beer and wine). The staff member had to point it out to me, or I would not have known. In addition, they are not allowed to sell THC drinks because of rules and regulations. I don't think you can blame Total Wine for that, but I am sure people do. HOWEVER, they do try to hide the true costs when it comes to liquor, and that seemed a little sketch. If we see a large price sign, that usually indicates a price, and that is not how they did it there. However, the prices there are still the cheapest, so whether it was Texas or Washington, Total Wine is still my favorite place to buy drinks.

I must say the last few times I've been in there the customer service needs some work. When you ask somebody how they are or say hello you assume you'd get a response ?? Nope! Literally crickets. Nobody asked me if I needed help. I wasn't greeted when entering the store, the other locations are always way busier and always say hello and go the next step to ask if I need help or they can point me in a direction . Working in customer service myself; it's not hard to give a smile and say hello. Select selection is great most of the time.

The QFC sushi counter is decent-- no complaints there. But I can't eat sushi every single day, and this place practically forces me to and I hate them for it. To be fair, this location is staffed with the friendly customer service folks who are always helpful; they keep the store clean and are quick to assist. The shelves are stocked neatly, and the staff is really deserving of praise. They're nice and all, but I don't go there for the excellent customer service-- I heavily rely on their deli area for breakfast or lunch, it is reliably bad. QFC's pre-packaged sandwiches are poorly made, contain a single slice of thin meat and a partial piece of cheese on the cheapest bread ever created by man. It's actually insulting considering the price. I'm not going to ask their bustling skeleton crew to stop and make me an on-demand sandwich, I want to grab and go. For a while, I thought if I just avoided the sandwiches, I'd have a better time. Nope! Lately, their refrigerated cases have been freezing the salads (literal iceberg lettuce) to the point where it is just completely inedible. ffs, I give up. The rest of the store is a typical shopping experience. I'm sure it's fine if you're buying shelf stable items or food actually meant to be frozen... Just check the expiration dates. QFC is a trash-tier grocery store in general regardless of location, you're better off going to Safeway or anywhere else if you can help it.

Very chic and elegant place in University Village! We came here on a weekday for Seattle Restaurant…read moreweek - at $35pp we got a super delicious and high quality 3 course meal! For appetizers, the carrot soup and crab croquettes were the perfect portion and delicious. The soup had the perfect autumn flavor and creamy texture. The crab croquette came with zesty tartar sauce that complemented the dish. For the entree: short rib paparadelle had a generous amount of short rib that was super tender and flavorful. The Zabuton steak was also very tender and cooked perfectly - probably as good as the ones you'd get at a good steakhouse. Dessert was also very satisfying. We had a chocolate mousse that was creamy and not overly sweet/decadent. Our favorite was the blueberry lavender mousse which was perfectly floral and refreshing. Service was also quite fast and welcoming. This also seems like a great place for a happy hour!

Both were flavorful and fizzy, and fun drinks without alcohol are always appreciated. To eat, we began with the bread. It came with 6 pieces of bread, 3 slices of 2 types. My favorite was the butter with flaky salt. It also paired well with the sauce of my duck dish. For our mains, my friend had the burger and I had the crispy duck entree. My friend said the burger and fries were good, but he felt it was overpriced as a dish, which I can agree with. The crispy duck was crispy, albeit it slightly overcooked; but it was still delicious. I really liked the accompaniment of beans and kale with bacon lardons and breadcrumbs, and the sauce was SO good that I used our extra bread to sop it up. I had a coupon for a complementary dessert, so we enjoyed the opera cake. All of the layers were tasty and went well together, and I liked how rich the chocolate ganache was. Our server was kind and provided food recommendations. The food came out quickly. The ambiance of the restaurant was upscale but not stuffy. If you are looking for a nice restaurant for date night and have the budget, check out Delille en Ville!
