We stopped in for lunch during our first visit, and I have to say, the restaurant is beautifully decorated! As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and promptly shown to a table. While they don't offer complimentary chips and salsa, you can get some for $10. The lunch menu prices seemed a bit on the higher side, ranging from $14 to $16. The food arrived incredibly quickly, which was great! I felt the beans and rice could have used a touch more seasoning, so I added some fresh jalapeños to spice things up. It was our first time to the restaurant and we wanted to try since their menu looked like they were serving authentic Mexican food and that they also had good reviews. And we were happy that we did! Everything was delicious! My husband wanted the chicharron with guacamole and it was good! The pork was marinated well. The manager explained that it's a whole process to get that chicharron tasting good. My husband like his drink which was the margarita with jalapeños. For entree, I had the chicken and shrimp fajitas and it was tasty, as well as the side dishes of rice and beans. But the one that was impressive that you don't find anywhere was the beef fajita with the mole sauce on top or the enmoladas. And you can choose your meat, and my husband chose beef. And WOW! The sauce was savory and flavorful! Also noteworthy is the service and ambience. The manager was friendly and our server, Kim was delightful as well. Complimentary chips and salsa at a Mexican food restaurant is the gold standard. Not here! 1 star docked for that reason only. Maybe, that is being too picky but I feel pretty strongly about it. Chips and salsa sampler, $10! Everything else was 5 stars pretty much. Saw you walk in the art deco style is really cool and chic. Service was good and the food was very tasty. Generally Tex-Mex style. Although the food was a tad pricier than I expected it was well presented and as mentioned above, quite tasty. This place is an absolute new standard for Mexican restaurants. As soon as we were greeted outside we felt like we stepped into a new find in Puerto Vallarta. William opens the door for us, sat us at the bar, spread our napkins and got us fresh water with a smile and while wearing a tie. I tried this place as it's near my job. First of all, it is so pretty in here! I love the colors and decor. I sat at the bar and ordered food to go. The bar is very nice and has a big tv to watch games on. I ordered the salsa flight... the red and green salsa was really really good and flavorful... I'm not sure what the deep purple one was.. it wasn't bad but it wasn't something I would order again. I also ordered the suiza enchiladas. From the moment we pulled up to the restaurant the vibes were vibing. The interior is impeccably designed all the way down to the last detail. The food was top notch and we left with the opinion that this is definitely the new best place to get Mexican food (and drinks!!). We had the queso al sarten with birria. The guiso was just ehh, wasn't horrible, just lacked a lot of flavor. The enmoladas were good and very tasty! The only thing is, I guess my big back self would have wanted more. Got the lunch special and it was $16 for two enchiladas. We visited Letty's Authentic Mexican while in town seeking a place for great food, service and ambience. From the moment we began walking up to the establishment we were greeted with the hostess who met us at the door and held it open. We sat ourselves at the bar and were provided menus. The bartender immediately greeted us followed by explaining the menu thoroughly. The services were top notch! He placed our orders and our food took no time to arrive in front of us. We did order queso and a flight of salsas. There were three different ones. I honestly cannot remember which one I liked best. The chips were quite thick, not my preference. The birrias were amazing. Walking in... we were very pleased. Beautiful ambiance and staff was super welcoming. I will say that we also were shocked that they charged for ships and salsa. The mgr did comp us because it was our first visit. Not going to lie... The prices were pretty pricey considering the area but the food was 5 star! The owner greeted us and was very nice. I was in town, read the amazing reviews and decided I give this place a try. For context, if you've ever travelled to a foreign country and people seemed to route you to the best local restaurant only to find you were a tourist who got suckered...Letty's is just such an experience. Then you see a $12 guac and you think...it must be amazing, until you see they charge $10 for chips and salsa...and you start to get more skeptical. Then I ordered quesabirria tacos that came we a bland/tasteless consommé with mediocre beef/cheese tacos with a baby serving of onions and mostly cilantro stems (I kid you not) and lastly you see the check for $35 (4 mini tacos and chips/salsa)...total tourist trap for those who don't know what delicious Mexican food tastes like or how much it costs...and were sold by the art and toilets. If you're into aesthetic restaurants this place is perfect. In terms of the food, nothing stood out as being spectacular but nothing we ordered was terrible. The portions are smaller and most dishes require you to add-on any extras (such as rice or french fries for main dishes and protein for salads...etc). Unfortunately, this use to be one of my favorite places to eat. I even recommended my family and friends. I started coming to Letty's about a month after it opened. As someone who is familiar with authentic Mexican cuisine, I appreciated the variety of dishes they had on the menu. Flavor and presentation was great! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and service as well. The owner used to go around and greet people and ask about their experience which I found pretty genuine. I don't know if ownership has changed or what, but, I have noticed that the portions have become less and less from when they opened to present. I also noticed that I don't see the owner doing his rounds like he used to. Recently my wife, daughter and I had lunch. I ordered a queso with Fajita and chips to start. When they brought the appetizer out I thought it was for one person. The queso was exactly 1cup with 2 table spoons a Fajita in it. I normally would order the CHICHARON with guacamole, but, it when from strips to cubes about 40% less than what they use to serve. My wife ordered the Tacoscolgando and my daughter ordered the Carne Guisada, I ordered the Cochino Pibil. When the food arrived I laughed, seriously. I had already expected the appetizer to be less since that has happened to me before but the main dish...smh. My daughters plate was big, but just the plate. Half cup of rice in a small dish, like what you would get for salsa. A laddle of Guisado spread on the plate so it appears to be full. My dish was 1cup and a half of Pibil same amount of rice as my daughter's and a 1 cup of beans. My wife's tacos where normal. Like I said, presentation was great, flavor as well, but the portions REDICULOUS. I asked the waitress "what the heck?" Her response was "Well, our focus is more on quality and not quantity". Well they definitely nailed it on the quantity part, even the tortillas got smaller. In the end, the bill with tip was 111.00 dllrs except for my wife, we still left hungry. Unfortunately their portions have drastically decreased. I now go to a more modest Mexican restaurant about two blocks from Letty's, good food, satisfying portions, service and way affordable.
