The balance I owe Satellite management after they've taken the entire deposit of $750
    Ro B.

Be warned: -Rent is not what they say it is. Add about 200 dollars extra to what is written then that's rent. Rent went up $400 dollars for being in middle of nowhere in Fontana. The person doing their demographic's is high on substance for sure. -The customer service helpline, conceder it nonexistent because they won't and can't help you after hours, especially when they tow your car and your outside in the rain looking for a number to call for help, even though you were given a specific spot to park. They don't even have the tow company's phone number at CS. I speak from experience. -you will never, ever see your deposit again as a matter of fact, you will owe them at the end, regardless of how clean, how nice you've kept up with the apartment. They have a standard in which they repaint and Reglaze the tub & everything else at your expense regardless of your up-keeping. -if something goes wrong or you need to add a roommate they will not help you achieve a goal but threaten you and give you notices to move out if you don't comply with their "policies," which are threats. Threats are their specialty. I've learned that one from them very well. I try to give them a bit of their own medicine, I'm sure they hate it as I did. -they will tell you "don't call in a cleaning crew when you vacate the Apt, let us handle it." That would be your biggest mistake, because they'll charge you arm and a leg for not really cleaning the way a professional company could clean because they do it in house and not with 3rd party yet they charge you over $350 with their own employees, which is unethical at your expense. -during final inspection (walk through) they will tell you everything is OK. Everything looks good but what they write down is exact opposite. They will charge you for everything even if it's looking good they will repaint, Reglaze re everything at your expense which is against DRE real estate code of ethics. Charge you even more on their own secret inspection after your gone. How convenient, right? A walk through should be honest clear and to the point so both parties are aware of what is going to be charged. The reason they cannot be honest is because they have pre planned to do all the work that's unnecessary at your expense, they can't tell you that straight out, otherwise you would never agree. -deception, dishonesty, misleading, threats to make you sign papers that you do not wish is their motto for customer service. If you think I'm kidding, please experience it for yourself but don't say you were not warned. -they will make you sign papers of work done on the unit before they have inspected the apartment, so that way they can deduct as much as they wish off of your deposit. All based on assumptions but since their actual goal is to deduct every penny off your deposit, it is more of pre planned action rather than anticipation and they are just leaving that info in the dark with you. With All smiles. -They send you pictures of stained areas of wall or oily parking space touched up with picture contrast and manipulation in software programs such as "photoshop" or or simply on your phone's photo editor, where you can make a perfectly painted wall look stained because you highlighted the dark parts and make it look anyway you wish by manipulating it, anyone can do that, what they don't send you is the actual picture taken through a non-filtered lens, which the normal eye can see. This is called deception to make you believe that it's actually dirty or stained, which was caused by you. -when and if you hear the words, Satellite management, RUN!!! I wouldn't be surprised if they start charging for breathing air on their property.

I called Friday and spoke to Brian, very knowledgeable, offered to send me information online. Received the pdf via email, seemed cool. Decent size and other features we were looking for. I drove by on Sunday and was able to get into the complex. I drove around and it looked clean from the outside, (driving through the parking lot) and it was quiet. I emailed Brian again to see if I could take a tour. He told me they had availability from 8-4 and they'd be closing at 12 on Wednesday and be off Thursday and Friday for thanksgiving. My bf and I were thinking about applying to another spot, but I told him let's take a look here albeit smaller, lower in price and it includes the W/D. I took time off work, using 2 hours of my VAC time and found myself running a little late. I called at the 3:50 and told him that I was running late that I'd be there around 3:56 that I just want to take a look at the room don't even need a super detailed tour. He said if I got there in the next 5 minutes I could be there, but he said they have a hard closing of 4 pm for the showroom. I explained that I'd be there before 4 and that I used vacation time and there was more traffic than expected and I would hope they have more flexibility and understanding for potential tenants. I asked if there was anyone else I could speak to, but he said he would be the person to speak to since they are privately owned. I'm just bummed out, used my vacation time, and just hoped for some flexibility. They should include their office hours and then showroom hours on their email signature and other information that shows their hours.

I didn't have an appointment, and walked in with someone that did. He was nice enough to let me tour with him and his daughter, so the Leasing agent didnt have to do separate tours AND I wouldn't have to wait. I forget the name, but the biggest upgraded 1 bedroom, but it was the one I liked mostly. mostly.

Beautiful property, but READ EVERY WORD BEFORE SIGNING ANYTHING…read more The property itself is gorgeous, and my tour guide paid attention to details about my lifestyle when showing me units, which, that part was genuinely great. But unfortunately, I got badly burned on the application/holding fees, and I've learned I'm not the only one. I was never told upfront that I only had 72 hours to withdraw my application and get my fee back. I asked multiple times, both during the tour and on follow-up calls, whether I could get my $200 holding deposit back if I didn't like the unit once it was actually ready to view. I was told yes, every time. I specifically said I didn't want to sign anything with the lease, until I'd seen the actual unit I'd be living in. When the time came for the approval phone call, I felt pressured into moving forward on a unit I hadn't agreed to sight-unseen, and ended up losing $250 ($50 application fee + $200 holding fee) rather than deal with it further. (Now imagine multiple other applicants in the same situation... it can add up..) This is my first time renting in the US, so yes, I should have read the fine print more carefully instead of trusting what I was told on the phone and in person. That's on me. I can own that. But if they're loose with the truth before you've signed anything, I have to wonder what else is buried in the lease itself. TO FUTURE RENTERS AND OTHER FIRST TIME RENTERS: bring someone experienced with US leasing, bring a real estate agent, or at minimum read every single document before you hand over any money... don't rely on verbal reassurances, even if the staff seem trustworthy. I trusted the leasing team, including Toni, and it cost me $250 to learn that lesson

Every now and then, the popsicle man manages to get in, and the one homeless (typically harmless) man manages to get in, but that is about it. I lived there for two years, and while it was quite brief, there were no major break-ins or burglaries. The parking is a joy. You can almost guarantee you will have more than enough parking spots left, especially for people who work at night. If you are lucky, you get shaded parking, which is helpful during the scorching summer. There is a cool playground at the heart of the complex, which is great for wearing your little ones out. The location to places makes this place very convenient. Superior Grocers is barely a five-minute drive (or a fifteen-minute walk.), there is a church that is 7 minutes away. One major issue I had was the new toilets, which had very low pressure when flushed. My tip: buy a bucket because you may need one for the first big flush. When you flush the first time, don't panic if it feels like it won't flush. Listen for the toilet tank fill-up, and then judge how much waste material you have liberated to know whether it's a bucket flush or regular flush. The lack of in-unit laundry ultimately made it increasingly uncomfortable and so, we moved. Other than that, this is generally a great place to live.

Shelly and Chrissy are a great team of handling big and small requests from us. I remember one time, some random salesman came to my apartment wandering when I was not home, I caught that on my camera so I called the leasing office and asked for Shelly's help because I have a package delivery soon during that time. Shelly ran from the office to my apartment and requested the person leave the complex, and I never see any salesman knocking on my door since then. After Chrissy and Shelly came, the dog poop bags are always refilled, they even make the office feel like home to us, they hosted different events for different holidays celebrations and enlightened our stay a lot. We love Shelly and Chrissy, they are the reason why we would still staying in this complex, cannot imagine a day without them, especially Shelly. They are so good that actually makes the complex really dog friendly, including the office. Before this team came, we felt unwelcome and not truly dog friendly. But now, we hope to stay longer because of how good they are, will highly recommend this community to everyone who wants to live in a good environment with good energy people to manage the complex!
