Update: the maintenance has still been extremely efficient with quick responses. However I've knocked down my rating due to the extremely slow process while renovating the pool and gym area, not having access to these amenities but still having to paying for them. Also, the package pickup system is annoying. No notification when you receive a package at the office and they'll just return them after a week if they're not picked up. Not having pickup boxes for package deliveries has resulted in stolen packages and the inability to pick them up if your unable to get to the office before they close. These would be easy additions that would make living here much more enjoyable and convenient. read more

After living here for two years, I've changed my review. I previously gave it 5 stars. Old management was much more friendly, courteous, and RESPONSIVE. Summer, Claudia, and Corina were quick to answer calls from their residents (they have caller ID and didn't just answer potential resident calls), they quickly answered emails, they were in the office during office hours (they took turns with lunch breaks), they addressed noise complaints quickly, etc. A year, we get new management. They slowly let everyone go and brought in their own people. As nice as Vivian (the manger) is in person, I asked for a courtesy call if there was going to be remodeling done around my apartment as I work nights and sleep during the day. She assured me she would let me know so I could make other arrangements for when I worked. Remodeling (banging and drilling) happened every month for 1-2 weeks at a time. Noise was outrageous and she never kept true to her word so it affected me at work. The office was closed more often either because they were now short staffed (by choice it seemed) or they took their lunches at the same time. This was inconvenient for residents who have busy schedules. They were never there not to mention they NEVER answer the phones. It's almost like they see their caller ID and let it go to voice mail. I felt I had to email over and over and over again before a response. It wasn't until I moved out the last week, and they had to bill me for move out, that they emailed and were super quick to respond. Just a heads up! Even though your contract says normal Wear and tear upon move out is ok, they still charge you a cleaning fee of $160. I even scrubbed everything myself so I wasn't charged for stains. They tag on the carpet cleaning fee (which I totally understand that one) of $65. Plus you are charged another $110 approximately for the next 62 days of trash, sewage, water. They explained this is because you don't pay the first one when you move in. Ok fine, I get that one too. And if your lease happens to end on the 1st of a month, be expected to pay another $125.44. Honestly most of those charges I understand, but when I asked them, to inform me of charges and things I need to know prior to moving out (when I gave my months notice) they should tell you what to expect. Instead they ignore you. I'm so glad I moved out of there. It's sad because it was so nice when I first moved it. I was drawn in by the girls downstairs and management. How nice the community was. New management downgraded the luxury aspect. The community has dog poop everywhere, louder neighbors, trash in the hallways, etc. It actually sucks to have to write this review but it needs to be honest for people who actually are looking for certain things. I have been a resident since 2018 and I just renewed for another year. The location is great being just in front of Victoria Gardens lifestyle mall. The maintenance crew is great, particularly Pete A. who is very friendly and knowledgeable. He has repaired or replaced every single appliance in the apartment. Occasionally the upstairs neighbor would have visitors ( one time in April it was at least a dozen of them) at odd hours of the morning (2:45 am or just before 5am ) who could be quite loud and one of them even knocked on my door and ran off ( I know because I was looking directly through the peephole at his face which he held close to the door listening for sounds before he gave three loud raps at the door and quickly ran off). I guess they didn't like it when I opened the window to see what all the commotion was all about. Strange, disturbing, idiotic but true. That is the reason why I knocked off two stars. read more

Poor management does not address concerns. No parking and no changes made even after months of telling management. The parking has been an absolute nightmare. There is no parking at night passed 7pm and not even anywhere to park in the surrounding area! My car was towed this morning because I had absolutely no where to park. The apartment complex has told me they will not cover the cost of the tow. I have been complaining for months about the parking and the result is towing my car. People have garages which they use to store stuff instead of for parking. The gates are open everyday from 8am-6pm and anyone can drive in to park. I have been emailing about this issue for months and it's absolutely insane to me that they are denying to cover the cost of the tow. I highly advise against living here. read more

We just renewed our lease after living here for a year, and I'm so happy that we did! We love coming home to this place. The property itself has a super modern/lux vibe with open apartments, the location is right across from Victoria Gardens-which is SOOO convenient, and the staff in the leasing office is always helpful and accommodating. We get various resident e-mails that announce things such as complimentary Starbucks &donuts in the AM, have cool food trucks come by, or have community BBQ's. They're also animal friendly, which is a super plus for us and many of my neighbors. We can't wait to spend another year here, thanks to Vivian's help! This is the worst place to live. The leasing office was always closed and literally no one ever answered their phone. I wasn't even given my 30 day notice for my newer leasing agreement. They tried increasing my rent by 9.96% percent when current California law states 8 is the max. When I called to tell them I wasn't staying and I will be moving out 30days from when I was given my notice they stated thats not going to be happening. Vivian Clark was the at most disrespectful person i've ever dealt with. She was condescending and would speak over me on several occasions. I had called the corporate office for the leasing company and I spoke to their HR several times and requested that their regional manager call me. I was never called by regional but I was called by Vivian and was questioned as to why I called upper management and I responded with you guys never answer your phone anyways and are never in office so would it matter? And she stayed completely quiet. I was basically forced to pay for extra days of rent due to this company violating California law and not taking accountability. I have never had such a rude person overseeing a complex like Vivian who was the assistant manager. Gia the actual manager never once reached out and did not even intervene when it was necessary. The leasing consultant Barbara even admitted to them doing things illegally and was confused as to why we are being charged so much extra and for more days when they made the mistake. This place never had any sense of urgency. There was always dog feces everywhere and the amenities were always broken and never repaired. The mail boxes were constantly being broken in to and the leasing managers never did anything about except put a lockable door around it. The main gate was always broken and there were always people wondering into the complex at night and vandalizing cars. Parking was outrages and there was never any parking near my actual unit. I had to constantly park across the complex. Sares-Regis needs to re evaluate who they have running their operations. read more

Hubby and I have lived here for a few years and honestly we love it! They have done some renovations all over the complex, but we enjoy the new pool area the most with other residents that we met since living here. At times, we pop into the office to give our request of carpet cleaning or fixtures being done and I swear Gia and Julia are always on it! I stop in and grab my morning coffee and I'm always greeted by Raj and asked how shebcan help me. Our Maintenece guys work really hard to show up on time and are always polite and courteous. "Vivian Clark" The management and customer service is the worst I've ever seen they are the worst apartments I've ever lived in...when we moved in they still had things they had to fix but they're suppose to be luxury apartments these things should have already been fixed before we moved in..a little after moving in the the hardwood floors started lifting up we were getting Harassed by our neighbors that lived below us...calling the police on us more then once management did nothing about it when it became so bad with the racist remarks and following me to my car things mangangement also said they could do nothing about because they were also residents so thats when we decided that we couldn't live there anymore so me and my girl started looking for another place to live, when we finally found another place to live they decided to stop replying or helping us with any matenice requests and for two months we lived without a washer or dryer and we were informed by maintenance that managment didn't want to replace it until we moved out they kept making excuses why they haven't helped us with anything, we moved out paying $6500 to break the lease after the most horrible living experience ever on 12/15 we moved out and we now have recipts of them chrgeing us for trash and water chrages from 12/20 they sent us a picture of pet damages to carpet and tried to charge us for brand new vinyl floors throughout the whole apartment there saying we owe them 3200 for the hard wood floor pet damage and we only lived there for 4 months this place is far from luxury and way over priced I wouldnt recommend these apartments to anyone!!!!! First, I am going to start by saying this is one of the best apartments I have lived in my adult life. It is reasonably priced for the location and amenities. I have a spacious balcony, garage, in-home washer/dryer unit with modern upgrades. I live in a relatively safe (no area is free of crime) walkable area. The grounds are clean and quiet and the maintenance staff is pleasant, along with the neighbors. I have only had two major service requests in 2years as a resident and they were handled promptly and professionally. With that being said, I have never met such nasty professional women. When I first came to view the property it was during COVID and I had a self-guided tour. The office staff weren't super accessible but I was understanding due to the pandemic. But as time has gone on, I have seen on multiple occasions how nasty and unpleasant the front office staff act. The women in the office are rude and uninviting. I walked in with a solvable issue 3 weeks ago and expected a little bit of grace, seeing as though I have been a model tenant for the 2 years that I have been living here. This office should be rated 5stars across the board, easy but every review mentions the horrible treatment from the front office staff. I am hoping that if enough tenants complain then it will encourage the corporate office to offer more customer service training for these individuals. They are a representation of their core values and I am not pleased my experience with frontline personnel. read more

Well I'm not exactly sure where to begin but we've been living here for 4 years our car has been broken into 5 different times the pool out of the for yours that we lived here has only been open for 2 and a 1/2 the Jacuzzi is the same. The trash cans that everybody uses here the dumpsters are overflowing with trash every day. I've seen rats the size of cats coming out of the trash cans. The neighbors across from us moved away recently and left a gift that keeps giving they've got roaches in here that hiss. We've contacted management here on site many different times only to get retaliated on for making our voice heard. These apartments are supposedly pet friendly but you can't walk 20' without stepping in 3 piles of dog krapp, We took our dog to the dog park and she got a disease which almost killed her. Management does not enforce any of the health and safety issues that concern several residents here in our community. I can tell you this this is not where you want to live. It's way too expensive and it's Totally overrated we're actually thinking of moving to the ghettoest place possible just to see how better it is there. read more

The ONLY downfall is that not all the residents pick up after their pets, even though the complex even provides doggie bags. It's a shame because the grounds are so well manicured and put together. I have lived here about 4 years now. I have been here through the transition from one property management company to the next. Both have had stellar staff and top notch service. I am confused by people who move next to a pool and complain about noise. There isn't an apartment complex around without this problem. It seems people chose the wrong location. I was fortunate to get one of the best locations with few neighbors, common places or walkways by my apartment. I have never had any issues with staff or maintenance and have actually enjoyed my relationship with them over the years. I have had two issues within the past two months which were minor, at best. Gia, the Property Manager, handled both quickly and efficiently. I was invited into her office to discuss my concern which was handled within an hour. I hope Gia can get in front with more residents and prospective residents. I think if people met the staff and chain of command, these reviews wouldn't be as bad. My experience has always been pleasurable. Perhaps people post on here only to give their grievances. I highly recommend the complex and staff here. read more

So ever since "the amli" changed to "The Angelica" I've noticed that we've been charged a little more, as well as the hot water running out REALLY quick! Seems like these owners don't care about the people who pay $2275 (now a little more than $2300)... but more about charging and saving $$. My lease is up next month and I will NOT be renewing. I'd suggest renting a house with a lot more space and a back yard. Although I love the location (super close to EVERYTHING). I will say this apartment is super quite and I've only had one problem with neighbors that was addressed when it belonged to Amli. All the staff here were always helpful! The experience up until move out was tolerable. Most amenities were closed for almost 2 years, understandably because of Covid. Certain maintenance items they would skip out on. I brought to their attention a few times that there is a big beehive in a vent by one of the windows in my apartment. They said it would require a lot of work and unless they were coming into the apartment we would leave it alone. There were always bees found dead in the bathtub. Thankfully I'm not allergic otherwise that would've been a huge problem. They do not take accountability. One of my neighbors had her storage unit entered into by the staff. All of her things including financial documents in personal papers with very important information on it, vanished. They said that they lost the record of that being her storage. I heard everything, there was a shouting match between my neighbor in the office staff. They Even cursed at my neighbor Who is understandably upset that they got rid of all of her belongings. So be careful they might take yours too! I moved out of these apartments in January. The first issue I have is that I requested a pre-move out walk-through. On the day of my appointment, nobody called and no one showed up. I waited 45 minutes, and then I went down to the leasing office to find out it was closed for two hours. They disregarded my appointment. That walk-through is actually a right under California law. They decided to keep all but $60 Of my deposit. Their reasoning was for miscellaneous cleaning and carpet shampooing. The lease states that if it is clean as it is when we move in, there will be no penalty. I have pictures of move in and move out. It is just as clean yet they still charged. Secondly, they are charging for carpet shampooing. This apartment has been advertised as having vinyl floors, granite countertops and the stainless steel appliances which indicates it is being renovated. They're charging us to clean carpet when there will be no carpet. What's more interesting, is that when I called acting like I was looking for information, a member of the leasing office confirmed it was renovated, yet Vivian Clark in her email said that was a lie and they have ceased renovations. Which I also find interesting, because I have seen several apartments being renovated within the last few months. I feel that this apartment company especially its employees in the office Including Gia Harding and Vivian Clark, are scamming people by creating lies and denying them of California rights to have a walk-through. Be very careful if you decide to move here! It may seem fine at first, and you might not have any issues during, but they will make it miserable when you move out. They won't take accountability if they mess up. TERRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE!!!!! Update on my review of Angelica. A year later and the smoking issue still not resolved. The office staff is still rude, except Pete, who's a great guy. The staff, mainly Gia, has asked me to remove my last review and when I refused, she posted lies as a response. (Her response to my last complaint was meant to appear caring, but was extremely FAR from truth.) I've lived here for 9 years, can't move because of brain cancer, and they won't update my apartment unless my family pays the recent high fee. They will only replace broken items with old hand-me-downs from other remodeled apartments. We have NEVER been late on the rent and are fantastically paying tenants!!) There's dog poop ALL OVER THE PROPERTY and the grounds still have no flowers. They won't allow the residents to use the weight room or pool area without using excuses and are very controlling about anything tenants do. They recently did a remodel, but the furniture is so uncomfortable, they make it obvious they don't want tenants around. The pool table area with television should be accessible at all times, yet it's closed when the staff takes "lunch" for two hours. They even smack us full of rules they don't stand on. We can't have normal birthday parties for kids without having to pay a fee and none can be by pool. (You're only allowed 2 guests.) They leave our private business, like monies they say we owe, open faced on our doorway for everyone to see. I've complained to corporate, yet they still continue. We rarely owe what they claim. We have always paid on time and somehow there's an eviction notice on our door. (Their error!!!!) The noise from upstairs is horrid, especially if a woman wears heels or there's a small child playing. There's no sound barrier in the ceiling and they refuse to fix the issue. The front gate never works right. We ALWAYS have people digging through the trash that don't reside here. People drive like crazy maniacs. The staff only threatens them with letters, never following through with action. We are still living with the cigarettes or speed demons. I wouldn't live here if I had the option to move. I read some of the write ups and they have to be fake. (I have yet to speak to one resident who likes the office staff.) Because of brain cancer, I can't afford to have cigarette smoke protruding in my apartment, only receive staff lies and denial. My professional advice? Don't live here! (They treat our family and others like crap.) According to residents, Gia is the worst part of this property and Vivian isn't far behind. The staff are such liars that I needed to respond to their response from my previous post. They denied the cigarette smoke on my last post, that they FINALLY found the source of. The cigarette smoke I complained of for almost a year with no action at all, only complete denial. Maintenance said they caught the smoker and his walls were so yellow that they needed to air out his apartment for a week . This was only after he moved out. Their constant denial was demeaning to us as a tenant, yet we were found 1000 % right. They never admitted fault and when I saw their response, I had to speak truth. They did NOTHING to help us while we couldn't breath in our apartment. The problem with smoke still exists with my coughing profusely. The ventilation system must be linked to the surrounding apartments. There's pot smell everywhere. Not to mention when my apartment flooded from the upstairs apartment, they didn't respond for an hour. They put my family out for their error and only didn't charge us for rent that month. This is while having brain cancer, I suffered major panic attacks while our entire apartment was tented without an offer to place us elsewhere. (They wouldn't even replace things with upgrades.) This put my family out and for the first time, caused me severe panic attacks. After I saw their response to my last post was not only taken care of, but lies, I decided to respond with truth. (Stop lying Gia and Vivian. I have all the proof.) They should have fired you both long ago. If I have one more problem here, I will file a suit. I have all proof and witnesses to my claims. The pool we haven't been able to use because of remodel, which looks terrible, for over a year. During Covid they were "highly" rude. This place centers around their staff, not the residents! In order to get an upgrade here, you have to do it yourself or take the hand me down from their remodels. (Our families deserve to be treated better.) read more

I've been living here for a year and I have absolutely zero complaints. The complex is extremely quiet I feel safe and the staff is very accommodating. I'm on the bottom floor so if there were loud people and noise I would definitely hear it. The complex is very well lit at night so there's never any fear to go out to the trash cans by yourself or even take a walk around the complex for exercise. Although I don't have any animals the complex is very animal friendly. There is a dog park and potty bags around the complex to make sure you clean up after your fur baby. read more

Dogs everywhere on their breed "restriction" list. There's a husky below me, Rottweilers across the way etc. If you're worried about bringing in a "restricted" dog don't worry, they don't even check. Trash gets filled up to the point of Spilling out Drug dealer in building 3 attracts some great characters. The gates are open all day while the office is open so anyone can come in and out. When the Angelica was AMLI, it was in much better shape than it is today. I have lived here for almost 8 years and have seen this complex go down hill because of cigarette smoke consistently protruding from other apartment vents into my own, as they are connected. They don't hold to their "no smoking" mandate and it takes many complaints to finally inspect the issue. You're blessed if they even care. When the Angelica was AMLI, the grounds were well maintained with beautiful, fresh flowers, the grass was gorgeous, and our sidewalks were neat and clean. Since AMLI has been taken over by the Angelica, the management is rude, the grass is dying, there are no fresh flowers anywhere, the sidewalks are filthy, boxes of junk and dead plants are on most all patios, and the dog area is full of poop or weeds. The pool is either green from pee or they are allowing people from others sister properties to come use our pool. They recently put in wood floors without padding that cause loud footstep noise from upper floors and it's really terrible! Not to mention something in the pool area is ALWAYS broken! (Our 12 year old said that this is no longer a luxury apartment.) All of these headaches come with an EXPENSIVE price tag. I have in the past and still constantly receive continual verbal abuse and harrassment by a women in the office staff, which is never resolved by upper management. I have contacted them several times, only to receive a referral back to their unprofessional office staff who I resist contacting, unless it's necessary. Management asked me take down my previous yelp, so that they would help in a small way. My disability from brain cancer has occurred during my residence here and we can't move any time soon. Claudia, Gia, and Vivian are all extremely professional and kind. If they can help you with something, they will go that extra mile. The quality of their service was what made the decision for me to move here easy. As my home contents arrived in pods and required someone to sign on my behalf, they agreed to help with this and be there when I couldn't be. It saved me an entire day. I'm not understanding the low reviews. One complained about hot water...which can be easily addressed by changing the water heater setting. In any place, simply talk to the management. I lived in this place for five months last year. We left on December 2019. This place is a nightmare I was leaving on the second floor I have a two-year-old son and it was just hell living there. My downstairs neighbor would bang on the ceiling if my son was playing around the walls are too damn thin, you can hear when Someone farts that's how thin they are. My neighbor would be constantly be banging and banging and banging I felt bad but it's not like I could tie up my two-year-old to chair and have not moved or play. Nothing but anxiety as soon as I stepped in the apartment. When I moved out I left the apartment spotless clean out the refrigerator inside it now all the restrooms, windows, walls, mopped you name it I did it and all I got in return was seven dollars because they say they automatically deduct the $200 for cleaning even though I left it spotless it's ridiculous!!! Be careful they are thieves!! I broke my lease had to pay an extra month for doing that but it was all worth it at the end to get my sanity back. read more

I have had nothing but issues. I would not recommend moving here. The place is nice. But not 3150 nice. I thought it was illegal to raise rent almost 1000 dollars. 2085 to 3150. They forced us to move. Then two months go by and i got hit with a bill for February. Lease was over Jan 31. No luck trying anyone from office. So many things i could point out. Like the mold in our apartment that no one ever fixed. (I have pictures and proof of work orders) Or the floors which had damage before we moved in. (Which i have pictures of) Never got fixed. If you want to move to a place we're they take advantage of you. This is it. Otherwise stay away. Whole front office needs changed. read more

First and foremost, the location definitely sells itself. It's definitely close to everything you may need. Amazing location in Rancho Cucamonga. I have been a resident here for a little over a year. When I first moved in, this apartment complex was called "Amli on Day Creek" and the staff at the leasing office was great. They made move-in easy and accommodated all my needs. They are now called "The Angelica" and the transition, from a tenant's perspective, has not been noticeable at all (which is good). The staff is still amazing. I have mainly dealt with Claudia and Fabby and both of them have been very nice, accommodating and genuine to my girlfriend and I from the day we moved in. Overall, the staff at the leasing office knows what they are doing and are handling the transition very well. Living here has been great, and I am proud to call this place my home. With the transition from Amli on Day Creek to The Angelica, it's good to know that remodeling is taking place for all the amenities and especially the units. I have never had a problem with hot water running out quick (and if it is a problem, call maintenance, and they will have it resolved in no time) and living in such a prime spot in Rancho Cucamonga, you have to expect to pay a little more. If you'd like rent to be cheaper, please regard other apartment complexes in Rancho Cucamonga that are definitely not up to the Angelica's standards. And honestly, if you compare other apartment rent rates, that are similar to the Angelica's standards, they are much higher and their location is not as great as the Angelica's. Yes, you pay a little more to live across the street from Victoria Gardens and that's definitely something you have to accept. As far as people running back and forth all night ... that's mainly based on how lucky you are to have respectful neighbors above and beside you. I chose to live on the third floor because I know I would not have to deal with any tenants living above me. I sleep peacefully every night! Once again, it has been an overall great experience here at The Angelica and I am excited to see the changes to come as remodeling continues. Thanks again to the amazing staff as well. read more
