This place is great! You would never know it exists being tucked away in a corporate parking area. They have a huge selection of on-tap beers and cans. I love that they have a few frozen drink options and also on-tap rotating seasonal mixed drinks. I believe they have wine and some NA options too. We frequent here for bingo Sundays and they also have trivia and a few other weekly events. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They have rotating food trucks but you can also bring your own food as well. There is indoor and a covered outdoor area for seating with a great ambiance & vibe. Children and dogs are welcome. Love this place! The beer is always good to excellent (especially if you're into IPAs), and the staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Those are the most important things for a brewery/taproom to get right, and Levante absolutely does. That said, the taproom can get very loud. If there's a band playing or bingo taking place, having a conversation can be tough. Some people like raucous bars, but I like to be able to shoot the breeze when I'm drinking and actively avoid these events. I also wish they worked with more food trucks that have at least one vegetarian option on the menu. Barbecue or glizzy trucks mean I'm going elsewhere to get my drink on. (A few years ago they ran their own top-notch pizza truck, and if they brought it back, I would probably try to move in.) Anyway, my complaints are minor. I have heard nothing but amazing this about Levante Brewing from multiple people and Philly food critics, so I decided that I should check it out while I was in West Chester. My friend and I split the Welcome to Levante flight ($12 for the flight) which consisted of 4 of their main beers: Cloudy & Cumbersome (IPA), tickle parts (IPA), Strata Swerve (double IPA), and Mercurial Silk (Double Milk stout). All of these beers were absolutely phenomenal! My favorite though was the Mercurial Stout because of how thick and rich it tasted. You could really taste the cacao it's made with and was pretty much a dessert. Another favorite was the Tickle Parts, which had a slight bitter flavor and a slight citrus flavor. It was super smooth which lead to a great experience! They also had a food truck of artisanal pizzas which all looked amazing, but we had just finished lunch and didn't get to try it! Definitely check out their food truck rotation before going, but the pizza seems to be most popular since it's affiliated with the brewery. I was super happy that they had a flight of their best beers to try, as I would have spent so much time deciding which one to get, but they obviously made that job easy! We had an excellent time at Levante Brewing Company. They have an impressive number of beers on tap and the staff was very friendly. One of the cool things they have going on is that you can order not only flights of beer, but also pickles. We enjoyed the varietals though the Philly Dilly Deli was my favorite. To pair, we enjoyed a nice shandy off their menu and split one of their pizzas. The Il Solstizio was absolutely delicious and enough for two folks to split so long as nobody was too hungry. The homemade ranch really made this one a banger. All in all, it was a great time and there is plenty of outdoor seating (or near outdoor) for COVID safe beer-drinking experience. I really miss drinking in the tap room. I hope covid goes away soon so we can come back to Carter Drive for beers. Right now the operate as takeout only where you place an online order and can pick up with in the hour. Each Tuesday and Friday has been their cycle for new releases. Usually 2 new beers each day. If you have placed an online order before they put you on the email list so you can plan if you are going to make the trip. It runs very smoothly. You drive right up to the side, give them your order number and they drop it in the passenger side window. Then you drive out! it's so easy! They also ship through out PA. Love this place! I had previously only been to the Stables, but I might enjoy the vibe of the taproom even more. Levante brews excellent beer, and they always have interesting new options. You can order a flight to try some of the more adventurous beers. I really liked the Glitter parts (IPA with lactose and strawberry) and Jolly by Nature - we ended up bringing some of each home. They have an awesome outdoor space, and the service was great. Not sure what the food options are like all the time, but we had a roast beef sandwich with horseradish Mayo, and salt and pepper crinkle fries which was all tasty and satisfying. This Brewery may not be the easiest to locate if you are visiting from out of town, but definitely worth the trip! I was visiting over the weekend and read the reviews on Levante Brewery and decided why not?! What set it apart was that it was right next to the Artisanal Market which is open to the public on Saturdays from 11 to 2:00pm. So the idea was for us to grab lunch at the Market and then have a few beers at Levante but since we got there after 2:00pm, this didn't go as planned. But all good because Levante had an on-site food truck! Honestly, the vibe at this Brewery is super chill. They had a small outside area which they had heated lamps but we got lucky to get seating right at the bar. We immediately asked what they were known for so, he ordered the FORM and I got the Cloudy and Cumbersome. Both had great flavor! He decided to stick to the FORM while I ended up getting another one of their popular brews which is the Tickle Parts. This one I enjoyed as well and decided to round it out with Fruit Fetish was my absolute favorite! This fabulous concoction had Rose Petals & hip, Chardonnay and Cabernet Saugvignon pressed grapes. It was so good, we ended up grabbing a 4 pack to go! Another cool thing about this Brewery was they had "Untappd" on display as soon as you come in so you can discover and share feedback on beers! I would say these guys are solid addition to the local brewing scene. I did flights to cut across the entire selection. All of the beers seem to be well crafted. I particularly like both the Kolsch and saison. They also did a Nice English brown ale on The hand pump. Good mix of Hoppy and malty selections. If I had any complaints, I'd say they should add a Pilsner or two to the mix, and a quafabl. Glad to see that a Cider was on top as well - that was tasty! I particularly like the fact that they offer their beers in a variety of sizes that include 5,10, 12 and 16 ounce pours. They halso have an interesting canned growler capability. Given they have no food capability the apparently use local food trucks to supplement certain days. It was great that the food truck was there but they ran out of food way too soon. I would to see the food truck selection expanded during peak periods. They do have a calendar on their website that provides details on the events and food trucks etc. Interesting inside set up. Obviously a family run business at this point. But I would definitely add them to the list of respectable brewery based brewpubs in the Westchester Downingtown Malvern area. read more

What a great find. With staff eager to share their love of the beer it's hard to leave without one of everything. That's what I did, and I only wish I would have bought more. The Fruit Fetish Vivid Berry might be one of the best Lacto kettle fruir sours I've had. Fruit forward is an understatement with the Cloudy and Cumbersome, like drinking mango fruit leather. I remember coming here when the taproom first opened and not being overtly impressed. I feel foolish now since they blow me away with their wide variety of amazing beers. I never cared for cream ales, but their Case of the Missing Custard stays on my palate for days. The staff is extremely friendly and patient. I personally love "sweeter" beers and heavier beers, but if those are not for you, I'm sure you will find a beer you love. Do yourself a favor and come here if you love beer. read more

I visited Levante this past weekend while visiting in West Chester for the evening. Upon arriving to this place, I was really surprised to find that there was a brewery where it was. It's in a really strange spot, almost in like, a business/industrial park? I'm not sure how to describe it but I could see it being difficult to find if you haven't visited before. However, there is ample free parking which was a nice bonus. Overall, the place was a lot smaller than I expected. I've visited multiple breweries before so I guess I was comparing it to that. But for the little space that they did have, it was laid out nicely. They had an indoor and outdoor area that you could chose to sit in. There could probably be more seating, but it was a decent amount for the space that they were working with. Additionally, they had a food truck parked outside which I thought was a nice touch, though as it got later, they ran out of the majority of their food. This isn't Levante's fault obviously but it was kind of a bummer when your stomach is growling. As for the beer, they had a pretty extensive collection. I had a hard time choosing what I wanted. I ended up trying "The Duke" because I am a fan of Belgian Tripels. I have to say, this did not taste anything like the tripels I've had in the past. It was honestly pretty gross in my opinion, I had a hard time drinking it. I guess this was because it is meant to be similar to a Sauvignon Blanc, which I normally enjoy but there was something about this beer that was off putting. I ended up not finishing it. I guess I should have asked to try it first before buying it, but I won't be getting it again. I ended up purchasing another beer that was much better. It was the Cloudy and Cumbersome. I actually enjoyed this choice, it was refreshing and I would definitely get it again. I think I would return to Levante in the future if I'm in the West Chester area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. It's a pretty solid place for the area, but I guess it didn't quite tickle my fancy like it has for others. read more

I consider this place to be top tier when it comes to breweries in , not only our state, but our country. Their beers had filtered into local bars by us over the last year or two, the standards like Tickle Parts and Cloudy and Cumbersome. Also enjoyed them, but never really saw their overall "omg amazing" appeal that some of my untapped friends had. A buddy suggested that we actually drive down because it "isnt that far" , so not even realizing how close they were (West Chester gets morphed into Philly in my brain, thats on me) to us, we headed down one Friday we both had off from work. Really dug the beer that was tap , got to enjoy a nice flight and sit outside in their little outdoor area, had some tacos from the food truck and drove home with some cans. Somewhere along the way, we wound up making this a twice a month trip. Levante has become my "fridge staple" . Recently made the trek down for the D.O.P.E release and the weeks prior for Spoonful of Gold. Have enjoyed all the food trucks, the craft food market next door and all the beer. Recently used their mercury service and it went off without a hitch and saves me the 2 hours of my time and gas... Still will be going down frequently but having the delivery service is amazing as well. read more

They do a great job of adding seating and greenery so that you feel like you're at home. The staff is very friendly and just as accommodating. Everyone we have met has been so nice and helpful. Now to the real reason you're reading this -- the beers. They have a great selection on tap with something for everyone plus a few fan faves in the coolers for you to take with - just check instragram to see what is in stock. We are huge fans of their beers and have loved our visits to the brewery. I wish they had more seating options, but it's a small place. Either way, it's fun and you get to try a little of everything. I like a hoppy beer and so I like their Chief IPA and their Palido Pale Ale but they have a variety of other beers like their Belgium Wit, Norseman ESA, Kolsch, Chocolate Stout... It's a great place to chill on Saturday afternoon w friends. Sometimes it's packed and other times it's like my crew's personal bar. Good spot to check out. Taproom is off the beaten path of downtown West Chester in an industrial park. More signage would have saved us a few extra laps around the place but it wasn't too hard to find. They had a nice outdoor area carved out in the parking lot that was mostly covered, and made the most of the indoor space with a bunch of seating and bar space inside. I tried a beer flight, most were pretty good although I found the price of pints to be on the expensive end. Their tap list offered an overwhelming majority of IPAs which are not my favorite, but they also had a cider which was tasty. They seem to have a pretty solid food truck schedule and they do allow dogs so that's always a plus in my book. read more

I like Levante truly I do. I have frequented their brewing company in WC several times in the past 2 months, purchasing beer to go. My issue is the prices they charge. Let's face it, Tired Hands in Ardmore is one of the premier craft breweries in our area. Their Hop Hands pale ale, a house daily, sells for $14 a four-pack. Their double IPA Alien Church, a killer beer sells for $18 a four-pack. So my beef with Levante is their prices. The Cloudy & Cumbersome ($16 a 4-pack) and Tickle Parts ($18 a 4-pack) are good but for me personally, I don't feel they trump Tired Hands. Just saying...... read more

If you like the idea of great craft beer, no TV's, food from the food truck in the loading bay (changes each night), a seat at the bar watching take-away cans of beer being made to order, or sitting with friends, or making new friends, at one of the 8 to 10 person euro-style trestle tables, then you should enjoy Levante. The best dry cider my wife has ever found in the US, and the first craft brewery where I can really enjoy not just one but more than three of their different offerings. The steel tanks are in sight, while the shelves of beer-filled former wine, bourbon and whisky barrels quietly age out of sight. Give it s try! read more

Easy 5-star review. This is hands down one of THE best breweries in the country. It is difficult to go wrong with any of their offerings, with the Existential Fog tea beer being my go-to. Of the over 500 breweries I've visited I believe Levante does the best providing a remarkable backbone IPA then brewing variations that are all delicious. Cloudy and Cumbersome is an outstanding beer. One of the best hazy IPAs I've enjoyed. Tickle Parts and Glitter Parts are delicious. The Vanilla and Mango in Glitter are pronounced and delicious.
