I love Rebel Hill's beers and $1 hot-dogs. Rebel Hill's staff is top notch. They're always super accommodating, especially during covid. They wear masks, follow social distancing guidelines, and always offer snack items - I like that Rebel Hill follows the rules. Their beers are solid. They recently released a bitter called Cross Keys. It's probably the best bitter I've ever had. They're going to cask it soon, much to the excitement of my boyfriend. Rebel Hill is one of the few breweries we've come across offering cask during COVID. I've tasted pretty much every beer on their menu, from pilsner to sour to stout, and they're always well-made and delicious. They also offer 5oz. pours if you want to try a few different things. Prices are competitive, about $6-7/pint. There is plenty of parking, and the brewery is accessible for everyone. Rebel Hill also has a plethora of outdoor seating if you're feeling the need for extra sunshine, and there are two TVs inside, typically broadcasting whatever Philly sport is playing. If you're looking for food, look elsewhere. Rebel Hill is simply complying with Tom Wolfe rules, but they do have a banging pizza pop-up on Fridays! Caveat emptor - this is Strictly a beer review. The latest brewpub addition to our local scene opened in March 2018. Six offerings currently. All well executed if not necessarily my speed. It seems to me every brewpub in this part of the country caters to the IPA crowd. Not sure if that's because those are the people that frequent brewpubs- or if the customer base that appreciates more balanced recipes stays away because of the severe lack of same. My favs here were Mutt and Perfectly Imperfect. A bit less hoppy than the others with a more complex character. To be fair the saison is not hoppy but I'm not that big a dad on fan. In general this is well crafted beet with distinct flavors - I just wish somebody would buck the current trend of hopping everything up. After a couple delays beyond their control, Rebel Hill opened up its doors this past Saturday at noon. Since I live around the corner, I made it a point to be one of the first to walk thru the doors to the public (#2, actually), to be sure I could claim a spot and spend an hour doing some research. A few guys behind the bar were ready to get my order and I secured a table since a few friends would be joining me. The place was almost full by 12:30 and absolutely mobbed by 1pm. The place is narrow with approx. 12 seats at the bar, another 8-10 tables for 2-4 people and will fill up quick. Not a lot of space to hang out in between, so I would not consider this space kid friendly at all. They had 5 of their own beers (ESB, Hoppy Wheat, Pale Ale, IPA and Saison), plus a Cider, a couple wines and a guest tap (Sunny Side UP, a big Stout from local-ish brewery, Pizza Boy). All of the beers were solid. The Pale Ale was very good and their IPA (Bleed Green) was my favorite. I was hoping to see a Porter or Stout from them, but at least they had a dark beer option for the crowd, even if it was a big beer and not their own. The rest of the group were all happy with the beers. Service was a bit of a struggle by 1pm, so I was glad I was able to get there early and enjoy my time soaking up the new space. If they can keep a good number of beers on tap at all times, they will do quite well. They will have a Food Truck on the weekends from the sounds of things, but this past weekend, it wasn't until 4pm. With Uncle B's BBQ right across the street, Jake's Wayback Burgers close and California Tortilla set to open up next door, food won't be a huge issue. I'm going to rate this 4 stars strictly for the quality of what I had, BUT there were a few issues regarding service and availability. The Anniversary Imperial Chocolate Cake Stout was really good, and I had a kielbasa panini. The sandwich took unusually long despite not being very busy 30 minutes after they opened. It was good, though. The menu on their website stated they had 12 beers, but only 10 were on tap when we got here. One of the kicked ones was DDH Bleed Green. I also thought they would have cans as they said this beer would be continually in stock during the Eagles season. I wouldn't care if a beer kicked, but it was the only reason we stopped here. They should update the website before opening if two beers, one being the most popular/important beer they offer, have kicked the day before. They had more cans the day after my visit, so I guess I'm just unlucky, but you should call ahead and ask for availability just in case. read more

I've never had a bad brew here. They definitely provide variety between hard hitting IPAs, fruity Sours and perfectly crafted Saisons. The food is always impeccable. I'd recommend the pork shoulder sandwich . They also have a welcoming outdoor area with tables, couches and cornhole. Definitely a go to spot this summer. read more

You can never go wrong with Rebel Hill. Every single time we have gone there we have had amazing beer, service, and food! The staff are super friendly and attentive, even when they are busy. Even though the food menu is small, the food is delicious and freshly made to order. The beer though is the best part. If you are a fan of sour beers, they normally always have one! I unfortunately missed opening weekend since I was away on a trip out of town, but I hurried to check out Rebel Hill last night as soon as it re-opened after its first regular Monday/Tuesday closure. I sampled all five of their beers and liked the Scratch the Surface (pale ale) the best--it has all the makings of a damn fine shower beer. I was also pleasantly surprised that I liked the ESB as much as I did because I am not usually a huge fan of ESBs. In addition to Rebel Hill's own brews, they currently have a guest tap pouring Pizza Boy's Sunny Side Up, which is an incredible and very potent (9.5%) coffee stout. They also offer red and white Karamoor Estate wines for $9/glass and one type of cider, which I assume is on tap. ($9 for a glass of wine at a small suburban brewery strikes me as slightly pricey, but I do like that the wine is local to Montgomery County.) The space inside is smaller than I had imagined it might be--the official sign above the door provides for a max capacity of 47--but the vibe is just as chill as I had hoped. I understand it was packed over the weekend, but last night there was plenty of seating available. For sports fans, there are two big TVs nicely situated so they can be seen from most seats at both tables and the bar. There's no kitchen, but Uncle B's BBQ is approximately 50 yards across Route 23 and Wayback Burgers is even closer than that across Rapps Dam Road, so getting some grub while enjoying Rebel Hill's brews should not be any problem at all. Rebel Hill is an important pillar of the new Westside community, and it is great to see it up and running. I hope it becomes only more successful as its neighbors continue to fill in and feed off one another! read more

DDH Bleed Green has been one of my favorite beers and being from Bucks County, I was dependent on someone else bringing it to me. I made the pilgrimage yesterday and had an excellent time and was quite surprised by the quality of the food. I was in a large group so we got to try a lot. For small plates, we tried the CHIPOTLE, BACON, RANCH DEVILED EGGS, SPICY GARLIC DILLS, BUFFALO CAULIFLOWER and the CHEESE AND CHARCUTERIE PLATE. All were very good. I had the KIELBASA PANINI, while others had the PROSCIUTTO PANINI and the Crabcake Sandwich and the BRAISED PORK SHOULDER SANDWICH which all received rave reviews from our group. Was very glad to see this finally open, considering I live in the apartment complex. You can't beat the location! The atmosphere is nice and the beers are good. Hoping that they continue on to great success. A welcome addition to a crowded brewery scene in the area. The place is a little small, but hopefully Scully can stop delaying their fencing of the porch area so these guys can expand a little. This place has amazing craft beer. 100% Organic and natural and local! From what I understand the founder and his wife were awesome home basement brewers and also financial or software moguls of some kind. You hear things around town about these guys. While they don't offer food just yet, it is still a great place to come and commiserate when downing some of the best craft beer around. Their IPA is really good. My husband liked the stout. They let you bring food or order delivery so don't let the food issue slow you down. We ordered from Thai L' Elephant and had it delivered by a food delivery app. Really great place! read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of beer put out for their opening. I am not typically a wheat beer fan but the hoppy wheat was quite tasty. My favorite was the bleeding green IPA. I'm usually not a fan of ESB'S, but this is another solid option. read more

My favorite brewery in Phoenixville. Some beers are good and some are great - Last Known Surroundings DIPA, DDH Bleed Green IPA, Cosmic Passage Peach IPA, Blackberry Sour are my favorites.
