This location used to consistently have long lines out the door but since NYCs been majority vaccinated and boosted (go us!), it's become significantly less busy. Just had the most efficient and wonderful experience getting my rapid + PCR here! Granted, they weren't busy at all but the staff was so kind, patient, and fun. Plus they gave my friend and I lollipops. Always a win. Thank you to the staff for all the work you did during the peak of COVID (and now)! P.S. I'n not sure why they are getting good reviews. We've never had a good experience. I am so disgusted with the service I got at this location. I took my son who had an ear infection on Monday night. It took an hour to be seen for the doctor to come in and spend 2 min with us. He then called in an antibiotic and an obscure ear drop that I went to pick up and insurance wouldn't cover (it would cost 200 to buy out of pocket). I called the location about 10x yesterday and either got no answer, got disconnected, or spoke with people who were so rude and told me "they were so busy" and we'll get back to you when we can. All I wanted was another rx sent in that we could actually obtain w insurance. By 7:30 last night I hadn't gotten any response so I went to the location again with my kids. The women up front were SO RUDE and made me wait for 40 min with my kids upfront in the germ filled lobby, having a laugh that they were not attending to my concerns. They told me the doctor would come talk to me but never sent him out. Finally the one woman came back and gave me more attitude and told me they sent in a new rx but I'm not even sure they did. If you want to be refuse care by a receptionist...this is the place to go. Terrible rotten "head receptionist". Tiffany has had a similar experience. Care is decent but reception was. Terribel. The receptionist refused to take my workers compensation, (because it was not approve day HR); or I'd be waiting forever. Then when I said, I'll pay for it with my CIGNA and they will reject it when they understand worker's comp should pay for it...she refused to allow me to see a doctor unless I provided them with a credit card. I SHOULD BE ABLE TO RECEIVE SERVICE WITH CIGNA HEALTH. Outrageous that she denied me from seeing a doctor when I have insurance. I've been here several times for either myself or my 9 year old daughter and have noticed the service during the week is so much better than the service on the weekend. On the weekends, there's only one doctor (usually female) and the young receptionist is always encouraging guests to go to the nearest emergency room or head over to another urgent care. She politely turns you away by saying the wait is over a hour in a half and when you ask why she's doing it, she says you can stay if you want too. I find it crazy I was here earlier in the week and the male doctor told me to follow up in a few days and when I came to the follow up, the receptionist told me the doctor told her that I should go to the emergency room. It's like they don't want to threat you. The service during the week is not like this at all. Management needs to pay attention to these reviews. read more

The line to get in was fast moving ; the staff is extremely sensitive to COVID stress . On the NYC website there was the wrong address (for the Times Square post office ). This the worse it is horrific I stood in line for 7 and 1/2 hours in the freezing cold on Sunday 12/19/21. To get a PCR test. Today is Thursday 12/23/21 still did not get my results. I lost my international trip yesterday. We should be able to hold someone responsible for that. Chose to travel from Manhattan to Brooklyn to visit this particular Urgent care based on reviews and photos and we are SO GLAD we did! My husband got very sick the day we got into town, we spent the whole day in the hotel and I knew he needed to be seen somewhere. We made the trip by taxi to Medrite in Brooklyn. The staff was SO kind and attentive. Darlene at the front desk gave us waters and was so accommodating and sweet! Gabriel got us back quickly and immediately took vitals in triage. He listened and seemed to be genuinely concerned for my husbands well being. Maria the PA was so nice and knowledgeable. We really felt like she had his best interest at heart and we trusted her opinion. She chose a pharmacy for us that was close and the Pharmacy even delivered the medications we needed. The entire facility was well kept, very clean and I would highly recommend it to anyone. We could not be happier with the experience. read more

The only thing this place is good for is administering covid tests. Don't come here when you take time off of work when you've been sick for a week looking for a script for antibiotics. The provider was not experienced, unintelligent, incompetent, and inconsiderate with terrible bedside manner. I have been sick for a week. Decided to come here. After 1.5 hours, and $50 later, I was told to "get plenty of rest and take over the counter medication, like Robitussin". When I asked how much longer this would last, I was told "it depends on how well I take care if myself". I'm a working mother of two young children- that advice is useless. She told me to discuss receiving a script with my primary physician. I told her this is why I'm here! Complete waste of time. read more

I waited in line in the freezing cold for four hours to get a covid test. The line didn't move for hours and frankly, it's unclear to me why this facility is so disorganized. I wish they would have a virtual line system or perhaps implement a more organized way of getting tested. I ended up getting tested on 12/23 at this location with the promise of results in 3-5 days. It's 1/5/22 and I still don't have my results from this location. Stick to the NYC Health and Hospitals location for covid testing. read more

Terrible service. Made an appointment for a COVID booster on their website. The website states covid testing is pre-registration only, but that you can make confirmed appointments for the vaccine. I arrive and they tell me everything is now pre-registration only and that my wait will be 3 hours. I tell the front desk what their website says and she just smirks "I know what it says." Very rude and unprofessional especially in these times when people should not be going to clinics unless they will definitely be treated. I am including a screen shot of what is stated on their website. Seems like an easy fix to update their website with the current policy, or text/email/call people to let them know appointments are not confirmed. It could even be a message added to their automated emails. A million better ways they could have dealt with this than to just not say anything and assume people will wait 3 hours in their clinic wait room when it is flu season and covid is still easily transmittable. read more

What a mess. I know the situation with Omicron is stressful right now and everyone wants to get tested before the holidays, but this was the most unorganized and inefficient urgent care that I've ever been to... we waited 3 hours for a PCR test for myself, my husband and toddler... and we were only the 7th person on line before Medrite even opened! The place is just poorly run & managed... only one person doing the testing and the receptionist seems in over her head. The gentleman who manages the line outside was very kind! I also want to say that both the nurse and woman who did the vitals intake were really lovely & kind. That's why I'm giving 3 stars Instead of 2. This place just needs more staff and a better system of organizing the walk-ins for COVID testing... it was truly a mess. I would think for a private practice, they should be able to figure it out... there should be a separate nurse performing COVID tests for those with an appointment and then one for walk-ins... there should also be a check in person and then an assistant helping with checking insurance & processing payment. read more

was pleasantly surprised by how wonderful this urgent care location was. the front desk staff was delightful and super efficient. I was checked in by a woman, I believe she said her name was TJ (not positive but hope this review makes it her way!) and she was so pleasant to deal with when I was not feeling well. Immediately offered us water and WiFi to get situated while we added ourselves to the queue. The nursing staff was patient and positive the entire time. Extremely difficult to get a covid vaccine. No signs anywhere, just people waiting outside. Only one person helped coordinate the 50+ people waiting outside. I waited 2 hours in total for my booster (with an appointment, too less) and was pushed away because I had mild cold symptoms. Pros: separate lines for COVID testing vs. other care. And the guy who was doing intake was top notch: was sure to acknowledge new line waiters; and he cleaned the doors/seats before bringing in a new round of folks to wait inside from outdoors. Medically: I went to be seen for a sore throat that is an 8/10 on the pain scale and was swabbed for Strep, Flu and COVID to be thorough. Cons: Crap throat swabbing technique that didn't get a good sample. And, the rudeness of the "doctor" who came in with my test results. She came in full of attitude, skipped introducing herself for "and what can I do for you"? Uh, how about give me my test results? She also was dismissive of the swelling and ignored my reporting of severe throat pain. She gave no other suggestions that the "gargle with salt water" thing - which I've already been doing for 4 days. The pain was worse the next day, and now I can barely speak or eat. Terrible to have gotten such awful bedside manner from an "urgent care center". Went to a real doctors clinic today, and got empathy and compassion - as well as a real diagnosis and treatment plan! Feeling better already. Too bad I wasted the $50 copay on Medrite. Will save visits for rapid COVID tests since they are the closest provider to me. read more

My partner and I went in for Covid tests this morning. This was probably the best experience we've had thus far. All the staff were friendly and efficient, especially the two healthcare workers that assisted me -- both named Brittney. They really helped make the whole experience much more pleasant; they were compassionate, patient, and efficient. I left a glowing review for this clinic a few months back because of their helpful, friendly staff and efficiency in getting me tested for Covid. Today I had a very different experience. A couple of days ago I made what I thought was an appointment on the company website to get a covid test at 5pm today. Immediately I received an email response saying that my visit was confirmed but that I may still have to wait in line for a while when I get there. Sounds like an appointment to me. I got on the website live chat earlier today to see how long the wait time was and I was told approximately 20 minutes. However, when I turned up at the location today, 20 minutes before my scheduled time, the gentleman at the back of the line said he'd been told he'd be the last person they'd be seeing today. Here's my issue with that 1) I had a visit confirmation for 5pm and it was 4.40pm 2) the clinic closes at 8pm 3) the line was approx an hour long (possibly an hour and a half) which means, worst case scenario, I would have been seen before 6.30pm -- an hour and a half before the place closes. I went inside to the front desk to see if they could squeeze me in since I had a confirmation and was the very next person behind the last guy. However, the woman I spoke to was immediately rude and yelled at me that it wasn't an appointment I'd booked -- I'd only preregistered because that's all they offer. I showed her the email that stated that my visit was confirmed and without looking at it she yelled some more. I asked if she knew any other test sites as I urgently needed to be tested to be able to see my parents (one of whom has a compromised immune system). She told me to Google it before storming off. Another woman came over who was much friendlier and explained how busy they were. Understood, but I was literally the next person in line after the cut off and was there well before the time I'd booked on the website -- and exactly the time I'd been told on their live chat! She also refused to help. I googled other testing sites and found Modell's in downtown Brooklyn. Stood in line there for 10 minutes. Got my rapid test and then the results 20 minutes later. Also ran across the street by the Barclay's Center for a PCR. Waited for 15 minutes to be tested then headed home. Glad Medrite ended up not accepting me. I'd likely still be there. I won't be going back in a hurry, that's for sure. read more

It feels like they've changed since opening. Originally, they did tests, but they treated you with the most likely course of action. They weren't specialists, but they were fast and you usually felt better. Since Covid, they do lots of test, they promise a provider will call back with test results (and don't), and their treatment plan proves ineffective. I went to them for two problems recently. The first problem resulted in three visits, tests, delays poor follow-up, and ineffectual treatment. I told them what I thought was wrong with my stomach when I first went in. Six weeks later, after telling them that my vet said to tell them the dog and cat both had positive test results, they wanted to keep repeating what's considered an unreliable test. My regular doctor agreed with the vet and three days later, my stomach was already feeling better. For the second problem, they did a Covid test and some throat cultures. Three days in, when I told them I wasn't feeling better, the medical director said nothing would help if it was viral. Six days in the throat culture came back positive and they they wanted me to continue on the antibiotic I told them wasn't helping. The medical director was supposed to call back, but he hasn't and since they haven't sent any tests to my regular doctor, we don't know what I tested positive for to get an alternative treatment. My feeling right now is that they have long waits, lots of tests, ineffectual treatment and poor follow-up. Originally, I gave them rave reviews, well I feel they've changed and just don't warrant it anymore. I feel bad if I'm the only person who feels this way, but this is a pretty bad swing in my mind. read more

Had me waiting for hours just for a work order urine test when other walk in people for covid kept passing through. Clerks told me I was next after an hour and a half and people kept being named before me. Avoid this place at all cost. Had to come back and review! The front desk people were very welcoming and kind they made sure I was next because the back was not taking me in even when I was there an hour before many of the covid testing patients. My first visit was for a COVID blood and antibody test mid-June. I made an appointment, experienced friendly and efficient check-in with clear social distancing rules in place, very clean and friendly service during the test, and received my results within 4 days. Was basically in love with the place. I went in again in late July to get another swab test since I was going to come into contact with some high-risk people and wanted to make sure I wouldn't expose them. Very different experience. I made an appointment, showed up for it on time, waited 45 minutes until I was told that they were not honoring appointments (was never notified of this which isn't cool when you are taking time from work to attend). The actual test was quick and friendly and clean again, so no issues there. But after two weeks I never received my results so I called to check on them, and they said their records show they spoke to me, which is in no way true. I said 'for the record I did not speak with anyone' and the person I spoke with basically responded with 'oh well, I dunno'. I don't know what happened, and I understand the lab issues may have effected the result time, but the customer service (honoring appointments and communicating results) really went downhill between the two visits! read more
