When you are looking for an employment law firm, and you post it on social media, it's a great sign when multiple people from multiple circles all point you to one person, Cole Ettman. Since they gave me his digits, email, social accounts, I had a straight line bead to him as well as multiple reliable references to feel comfortable taking a consultation. Cole is the COO and connected me to Ted Lippincott, one of their amazing lawyers. By the end of the consultation, I did not have a contract signed, nor was I pushed into signing one, quite the opposite. He gave me some pointed advise on how to deal with my situation and if his advise did not solve the situation, I can then think about retaining their services. Long story short, the advice was amazing, but my previous employment didn't really understand the law and decided not to budge. So I retained the firm and within 2 months, we the firm had helped the company understand the ramifications of their action and the settlement was over 4X what was previously offered. I was fortunate enough to be "referred" to this law firm, which is how wealthier individuals get to deal with lawyers (as opposed to clicking on a banner ad or something). Ted Lippincott handled my case quite expertly from start to finish. I was never confused about the status of my case and he was on top of it from the start. He made requests of me and I sent back responses that were confusing, fragmented messages. Ted was able to figure out what I was saying and create perfect answers to my former company's demands. Very disappointing experience. Between the constant lack of follow up and lack of urgency I can't ever recommend this law firm. I ultimately wasted 7 months of my time with this firm as I got nothing from the company I went after. This isn't the part that bothers me though. If I felt like the lawyer who was assigned to my case followed up more consistently with me and aggressively went after the company I was suing, and we lost, I'd be ok with that. It's one thing to do all you can and lose a case. I get that. However, this was absolutely not the situation. I could barely get an answer to my email within a weeks time frame. First off, let me say, working with lawyers is not something I often do, if not at all. Going into this office based on only the great reviews I reviewed here on yelp, and also as a natural born skeptic, I could only have high hopes. Let me say now, that my experience rose far beyond my expectations. I went in and was greeted by Jenn Bushnell, who was sparky and to the point. No dabbling around the subject. She helped dissect my situation quickly, and then set up an appointment with somebody who could help. His name, Cole. Note: You will likely pay for a consultation. This is common almost everywhere and I thought it worth nothing since some people seem to think that counsel at this level should come free of charge. Know that I never felt hoodwinked or taken advantage of. Personally, if a lawyer has a bunch of time for free consultations, I personally would throw down a yellow flag in worry. Just know that your money will be worth it, either in consultation, or in preparation of a greater plan to help you formulate and win your case. This firm is also considerate of the financial situations of individuals. So I go to my one hour consultation with Cole Ettman. He is kind, energetic, and seems to know the value of servitude. I can say that he went far beyond my expectations and even worked with me to formulate a more appropriate financial plan to pay for services rendered. What really invigorated me was his keen sense of focus and display of kindness at the same time. This is a firm that gets to the point very quick and then takes their time sifting through the cracks while also educating you in the process. I can go on forever, but just know it was an experience that rose far beyond my expectations in so many ways. Cole actually told me then and there that he may be on vacation around the time they would set up a date for court. I said okay, not knowing who I would get, but had faith that my great experience so far would carry on into the next phase of our dealings. Yes, it will cost you money, but it seems not nearly as much as many other places I called and this place knows how to make the most out of the time you pay for, and, doesn't stiff you on the minutes or seconds if you go over in say, a consultation. No surprise charges. If you are looking for representation, are a born skeptic like me, or even not, I can't promise you anything but will say my experience with Levine & Blit changed my ignorant perspective of law firms and lawyers in general. Make sure you have a strong case before you go to these guys. Starting from the receptionist she will trick you in stating that their attorneys are superb and they'll move a mountain for you and quickly ask for your credit card number to process their $260 which should cover them contacting your employer and fighting for your specific situation, whether it is termination, layoff, dispute, etc. Upon visiting their office, they will now tell you that in order for you to actually have them on a retainer, it will cost you at least another $1,600 to have a generous split of recovered damages of 30/70. or pay more down payment for a better split 40/60 ,Pay nothing and go with 50/50.... This is a type of a firm where they get your money upfront, get you all gung-ho and excited at first, then you have to chase them and stay on top of them since they're burried with better cases, and if your circumstances are not severe enough, you fall to the bottom of the list. .....Trust me on this, ask a lot of questions before you pay them a single cent. read more

They did plenty of digging & when all was said & done, they came up with a number over triple what I thought I was owed between unpaid commission & overtime. honestly i would find another firm. they dont keep up with you, dont return your calls. my case was pretty straight forward and had a ton of evidence, yet through over 3 years they pretty much forgot about me then dropped the ball they were releasing my file. seems now they wanted the 2600 fee and didnt seem to do much work other then a declaration. i would find another attorney or law firm read more
