Outdoor stuff for the outdoor enthusiast. Sadly, that's not me. The "enthusiast" part. Outside is something I tolerate in between the rail station and the office and even though it's been warmer this week, it's still going to get cold again. So I stopped in at Lewis & Clark to check out their gloves and hats, getting sidelined into some of the other departments for a browse. The biking area is full service, not only selling very high end bikes (holy crap, I paid less for a car!), but also helmets and gloves and riding shorts and even car mounting kits. Lots of water stuff too - including some Hobie Cat sailboats and kayaks and such. I didn't spot a way to mount your bike to your kayak, but they might be able to help. Tents, too. And backpacks. And even a huge climbing wall that ranges from easy to medium to difficult. I didn't try it, but it did look like fun. A comfortable seating area to browse the assorted outdoor-themed books. When the zombie apocalypse comes and there isn't electricity, this will probably be my first stop! Also... $4999 for a bike? Yes, it weighed less than two pounds, but dang that's a lot of money!

Very unprofessional experience. Bought a bike from a MECHANIC at LEWIS AND CLARK with a fork steering tube cut too short. Young man said "your bike your problem" when I spoke to the service Manager Jared, he wouldn't even take a look at the bike for sake of safety. He would not stand behind the shops work and asked me to leave. DO NOT BUY OR TAKE YOUR BIKE HERE

The problem wasnt the selection, the cleanliness of the store or anything like that. No, my problem started with one of the employees there. I was trying to ask a question about sizing on some of the jerseys, and a worker named Madeline seemed like the very idea of me trying to ask a simple question was the biggest inconvenience of her entire life. She was rude, condescending, and dismissive. I have never faced such poor customer service in my life when just trying to ask if they had any larger sizes on the jersey i wanted. When i told her it was okay and i would just look elsewhere, she had the audacity to roll her eyes at me. if youre having a bad day at work, thats understandable. But you shouldnt be taking it out on your customers and talking to them like they are idiots. I have never felt more embarrassed and outraged as i am at her treatment of someone asking for something so simple. I wonder how many other people she has talked to like doing her job is the biggest inconvenience she has ever had to deal with. I visit Arkansas frequently for work, and i can guarantee you i will never be visiting this store again in the foreseeable future.

I…read morewent in for a pair of running shoes and the extremely helpful sales associate took in all my factors like race training for, type of ground I run on, areas of pain, length of runs per week etc , had me run a few seconds on the treadmill then completely walked through my gait, how my feet hit the ground and degree ankles moved during and from that was able to pair me with a pair of Hokas that were a dreamy fit and only the 2nd pair I tried on. I also got some great tips and info on races in the area. Will continue to reorder my perfect fit shoes here!!

Like many small speciality shops, this one can get busy on Saturdays, but during the week I've had nothing but exceptional customer service. They seem to have limited color choices for each shoe, at least the ones I get. This limitation doesn't bother me because I'm there to find the best trail shoes for my needs, not for fashion. On the occasions I've groused about the available color(s), the staff has always offered to order a different color for me - great customer service, but I just buy the best color they have in stock, even if that's neon yellow and blue. I mention the limited color choices because running shoes have become fashion items, and if your goal is to complete your "outfit," or if you're shopping for picky kids, you might not find what you're looking for, at least in stock. But if you're looking for running shoes for running, Rush Running is the best place in Northwest Arkansas.
