Why would I go to a dentist that is not in my network. You would think they would make sure the patient knew that before doing any work. What do they care. She recently had an unpleasant experience at another dentist who was aggressively cleaning her teeth and chastising her because it had been so long so she walked out in the middle of the cleaning. I talked to Ilana before scheduling and explained my daughter's situation and that she can be a difficult patient. Ilana had no qualms whatsoever about taking her on as a patient. Ellen worked with me for several weeks to get her an appointment as she is a college student with a challenging schedule. Everything went really well and now my daughter has a new dentist!

To…read moremy surprise, while I was in the chair the woman at the desk cam in and told me that before any thing else was done I had to pay half of what they expected the bill would be. I came in for a new partial. The charge they claimed to be in excess of $1200 which I had to pay $584. All this while a tech had her hands in my mouth doing the impression! Luckily I had a credit card with me and paid the amount they wanted and they sent off the mold. I was told it would be back in 10 days and made an appointment for July 29. They called before the date and told me the denture had not arrived. FIne I was expecting a call when it did. I received a call the following Wednesday the 2nd telling me the lab had sent it to the office and should be here in a few days. I was shocked to see that the insurance company said they wouldn't pay for the denture as it was coded as a new partial when in fact it was a replacement for an old partial. After getting this corrected they said it would be paid for. I have not heard from the office until August 7th when I get a bill for the balance of the partial which I still have not gotten!! I have never heard of such a thing that a bill being sent BEFORE services were rendered. This new doctor must need a new car or wants to pay off the debt for buying the practice fast but he isn't getting any more of my money and I won't be going back

You are greeted politely on arrival , and seated in a comfortable waiting room as your information is prepared for the doctor. You are then led to a very clean and comfortable treatment room. After an online search of local dentists, I conceded to take my wife's suggestion to use Sattler Family Dentistry. I took that leap of faith and my dental health and experience are the better for it. My first point of contact was with the courteous and welcoming office staff who pointed me to an online dental history questionnaire that helped to streamline my initial visit. I then met with Chris who took a comprehensive set of X-rays, probed my mouth extensively, and in conjunction with Dr. Bui, came up with a stepwise scheduled dental plan to correct all concerns found. Chris recommended that I undergo a scaling and root planing process which I was previously unfamiliar with. She took all the time necessary to explain her rationale, what the procedure entailed, and answered all of my questions with patience and implicit expertise. She even conceded that I could go anywhere else I felt comfortable going to but by this point I knew I was coming back to Sattler. I was then introduced to the very cordial Dr. Bui who discussed the plan with me and further allayed concerns. He put a face on the modern techniques that this office would be employing. Chris came across as an extraordinary hygienist and periodontal provider with a sincere concern for her patient's wellbeing. Next, the very professional office staff mapped out my plan, interfaced with my insurance company, and laid out my out of pocket and covered costs. Two appointments were made for the scaling and root planing process. Being somewhat dental phobic, I was concerned about any extended pain but I was pleasantly impressed that I felt no discomfort during the procedure, which involved significant digging, nor did I experience any pain once the anesthetic wore off. Likewise for the second visit to complete this phase of treatment.. I still have a few more appointments to address the dental plan originally prescribed, and actually look forward to them. To date, I can say that this is an excellent dental and periodontal practice that I am glad to have discovered. From the office staff to the dental providers, this is a well-run practice that instills confidence and assurance in what they do.
