I sold some 14k gold rings to Andre himself and he shorted me almost a gram in the weight. When I called him out on it he decided that he owed me another $20 when I contested it with him he said we were done and asked me to leave his store. He is a cheat and a crook. He doesn't ever pay you what his website says that they pay for gold. He says that unless your selling him 15 grams you won't get that price. No wonder he's going out of business. He re-sells alot of used jewelry that people scrap. I would suggest going to another gold buyer so you don't go through what I did. Andre you disappointed me. read more

ANDRE'S FINE JEWELERS: We just had a terrific experiemce @ Andre's Jewelers on Main Street right downtown. We had some scrap gold from old earrings/ring settings that we needed to sell. Carol walked us thru the process of how they authenticate the gold content and even invited hubby (who's a curious engineer) into the back area to watch her test the pieces. By many read reviews I drove an hour to Andre's to sell my gold jewelry I never wore and was throughly pleased except for one thing. They express on their website how they will weigh everything in front of you after he checks and tests the quality of gold pieces. They didn't weigh anything in front of me to make sure I was receiving the actual grams and not penny weight. Instead they took all my jewelry in the back room and weighed it which totaled $4300.00. I should have said something and requested to see the scales, but I didn't and regret not voicing my concerns. read more

Make sure you look at their website for what they are paying for the day you are going to sell, make sure that you look at the minimum weight in grams of gold or silver that will get you the highest price. If I could do zero stars I would. The reason their gold and silver prices are so high is because if you don't watch carefully they keep the diamonds. I brought in a bunch of old jewelry and he made a real show of popping out the less valuable stones but when I got home I noticed that he didn't give me my diamonds from an old wedding ring and other pieces. I called and he was supposed to send them to me but I never received them. Now I'm not confident I would receive my actual stones. They ripped me off! read more

Not only does Andre's pay the highest rates in Michigan for your unwanted gold and silver pieces, they also have AMAZINGLY low prices on wedding rings for men and women!!! We got a price from them for my wedding band which has 5 small diamonds in the .1 to .15 karat range and it seemed good but we shopped it with the other top jewelers in Brighton. Andre's was a full 40% less on my band and 48% less on my fiancé's wedding band. They custom made my engagement ring with diamonds we already had for a VERY low price and did beautiful work!
