I went out to get into my car this morning. and it wouldn't start. It clicked a few times the lights flashed and it went black. I called AAA and they sent out Lewis Towing 2. What a nice guy. THIEVES, THATS ALL THEY ARE, I backed my car out of my driveway today, forgot my glasses so I ran back in the house to fetch them and when I returned (30 seconds later) he already had my car on the truck and was about to take it, I ask what was the problem and he said very rudely, (YOU KNOW THE RULES) I asked him what rules, he said I can't park on the street. And that I can take it up with the yard after I pay them the $360.00 to get my car back or I could pay $130.00 now and he would let me keep my car, what kind of BS is this, Lewis towing 2 are the biggest crooks in the country, I really don't know how these people live with themselves, mike was the most evil person I've met in bakersfield so far, and I've met allot of people. Well... Lewis towing did it to me again. So I called my insurance and used my road side assistance to tow my car. Lewis towing is contracted with All state so they showed up again to do my tow. This time, the guy took one look at my car and said he can't tow it because it's "custom". I only have chrome rims on it... THATS IT. everything else bumper to bumper is stock. Dude said "call your insurance back and tell them you need a special tow because it's custom and I can't touch it. I tried to argue that it's completely stock. He got rude and said "I ain't touching it" and walked away. I HATE LEWIS TOWING! i guarantee you when I call a mom and pop tow truck they would be happy to take my money AND help me out. Our vans tire blew out while we were on Hwy 5 just outside Bakersfield. We could have changed the tire but our jack wouldn't raise the van high enough and I did not feel safe lifting it up on the side of the highway. AAA said there would be a 1 hour wait. Ryan was there in less than 30 minutes and had us on the road in less than 15 minutes. Lewis Towing 2 saved the day, what could have been a very scary long hot wait. read more

Excellent Service from Kortney!!! About a month ago, my cars wouldn't start. It was 1:30 pm and hot as Hell. I called AAA and was given a 30 minute timeline. Within about 15 or 20 minutes Kortney from Lewis Towing showed up. She was courteous, professional and offered me a bottle of cold water. The assessed the situation and went to work. My battery needed to be replaced. Fortunately, it was a AAA battery, still under warranty. She installed the new battery and tested everything. Over the 40 years, I have been driving, I've had to AAA for service a few times. I'm believer in having AAA. Kortney from Lewis Towing gave the best and fastest service. Lewis towing came to my rescue when a faulty gas gauge left me stranded on I-5 over the Grapevine. AAA dispatched a truck to my location and the driver (shoutout to Lee!) called to confirm. Good thing he did, because AAA put an incorrect location in for me. He arrived in approximately 1/2 the time I expected. He brought some gas with him and then offered to follow me to the nearest gas station (a few miles behind me, which meant driving forward a couple of miles, exiting the highway, & going all the way back down into Castaic) to ensure I got there safely & didn't run out of gas again on my way. What everyone else said, is true. I was lucky enough to be able to use their services when AAA dispatched them to come save my butt from off the shoulder of the freeway (nooooooo, sadface). Silly me, I blew out my tire and forgot to replace the spare that I has previously used (woops). Ben was our driver (I think that was his name; we weren't formally introduced but his jumper said "Ben."), and he had us wait in his air-conditioned truck while he hooked up my poor Prius to the truck. No scratches, smooth hook-up. He drove us to a closeby tire shop, unhooked the car, and was professional throughout the trip. Thanks Ben! read more

I would give them no stars but it does not let me, Im new to the area AAA sent Lewis towing to us. My car was involved in an accident and the driver Adrian did not explain correctly to us regarding keeping the car at their yard. My insurance doesn't cover having them store and them taking it to the collision place, he stated that's how the insurance works and they do it all the time and I wouldn't have to pay. He should asked do you know if your insurance covers this especially knowing that we were scared not thinking due to the accident. Picking up the car was even worse so unprofessional cussing with in the office and letting personal business out that another work was sent home because she was still drunk. Never again I called AAA to tell them never send anyone from this company to assist us in anything I rather walk or wait for another tow company to assist us. Waited over three hours for a tow local in town on the hottest day and when I called for eta and said I was sitting outside in the heat waiting for a tow and asked if there was any way they could be there sooner the lady answering the phone was so rude and stated I will have them call you in a hour when they are closer. Some drivers are out stalking for vehicles that are presumably in a restricted private parking area. They take vehicle and impound, costing the owner $$$. When you go to retrieve your vehicle the office reeks of cigarette smoke and the people are very rude and unfriendly. In this case there was only a sign that reads "No parking behind garage without permit". This vehicle had a permit clearly visible! Seems to be illegal business practice, will seek counsel. read more

On 07/21/15, I was getting ready to head to work early around 7:15 in the morning when I realized I didn't have my keys. I guess when I threw my keys in my purse the night before I missed and they landed on my passenger seat. I called the roadside assistance I have through my automobile insurance and was advised someone would be sent out. I received a text message shortly after advising me lewis towing 2 Inc would be coming and the estimated time of arrival would be 8:20 am. I noticed on here it stated they did not open until 8 a.m so I was pleasantly surprised when their driver showed up right at 8:00; 20 minutes before the ETA. I can't understand how this company is still in business. I had a horrible experience. From the service technician who was sent out to inspect my vehicle, to the dispatcher, Destiny. The owner is nice but has little to no idea of what chaos his office creates for the general public. This company will leave your car in worse condition than it was before having them go out. Avoid this company at all cost. If you do use them, expect multiple attempts to contact management to get anything done. Owner is always, "In a meeting" and "can't take your call" any day of the week no matter day nor time. Customer service is non existent at this company. If your vehicle happens to get ran into a brick wall by their driver like mine was, be sure to ask for everything they promise to fix in writing because it's a nightmare to try to get payment for your incurred expenses due to their negligence with just a verbal over the phone by Destiny. She gives you the run around and is not nice at all. Be sure to tell your Roadside assistance insurance that you Do Not wish to have this company show up at all. Save yourself a headache, time, and money by not doing business with this company. What a nightmare this past month has been while I've been dealing with this company. The "black & white" Lewis Towing flatbed was dispatched for the job. My fee was $55 for under 10 miles plus I included a $10.00 tip. Your fee may be different. I have never received such amazing service like I have had on this night. My poor baby Mustang broke down and AAA sent the tow truck out to pick me and my car up. The guy was wonderful and a gentleman. His name was Kacy, and ladies if you are ever lucky enough to have him for a tow truck driver, he will open your door, make sure you are comfortable and make you feel like he is taking you to the prom. Left a lot to be desired. Had to pick a car up from their yard. Not the cleanest of operations by any means. Signs with prices posted aren't accurate, and the office consisted of standing room only with an ash tray that contained a still-smoldering cigarette - definitely not something OSHA approved. Looks more like a junk yard than a reputable towing yard - its dirty and there is plenty of dog/horse? poop you have to walk around. Can't speak to their other services but the equipment and operators in the yard itself didn't appear to be in the best condition. read more
