My 3 friends and I came here one day after work for a fun girls group activity! I had never been or heard of it but one of my friends suggested it as she had been previously. We booked a group appointment ahead of time and we originally had 5 but had to switch to 4 almost last minute and they were super accommodating! Our appointment was actually during happy hour which they have from Tuesday-Thursday 3p-7p so many of their services were discounted due to that. We did the facial bar with a friend option. The 4 of us (+2 employees) were the only ones in there so it was super peaceful and enjoyable. They explained our options to us and what the purpose of each step she was doing. For my 2 add-ons I choose high frequency and the cooling globes. I liked these a lot but I still want to try the rest of their add on offerings! All of the products felt very luxe and smelled amazing. At the end of the facial, I swear my skin had never felt better and we were all truly glowing. I need to get back here and get another treatment soon! read more

My friend and I went for the happy hour special and we're extremely surprised at how seamless the entire experience was. We booked the experience online and were able to find easy street parking near the downtown market. When we walked in, we were greeted and checked in pretty quickly. We did have to fill out a little bit of paperwork, but nothing too extensive. There is not a waiting space to relax before your service so I would only give yourself a couple minutes before your appointment time to arrive. We went into the facial lounge and each got approximately 30 to 40 minute facial. The space is extremely open and bright due to all of the windows, which was the best vibe for relaxation. It was really fun to actually be able to get a facial with a friend and relax at the same time as being able to do a girls night and chat. I definitely want to do this again with more friends! I think you would be able to do four people in the facial lounge at the same time so you would have to coordinate and book early if this is something that you want to do. My number one spot for facials. As a busy mum, I usually get the express massage and facial combo. Karyn the owner is very lovely and accommodating. Beautiful decor, chic and comfortable. Wonderful place to have a ladies night/bridal shower or buy a gift card for a spouse/parent. They offer services for men too...shoot everyone needs a facial at least once (or every quarter) in their life! Free and metered street parking nearby otherwise a paid lot across the road. Very reasonable prices compared to other spas and check out the happy hour specials. Highly recommend. read more

I treated myself to a back massage treatment which was a back massage and back facial all in one. It was so incredibly relaxing; I didn't want it to end!! Isabelle was phenomenal and soothing. They also have "happy hour" specials which gives a new meaning to happy hour and savings. I was a bit worried after seeing photos that my massage would be in the open space, but it did have private rooms. There is side street parking and a lot (metered) for parking. read more

I love getting facials, but I hate paying almost always over $100 for one... (BYE MONEY). So, when I found Lex Facial Bar, I was so thrilled! And for a plethora of reasons... -It has the cutest aesthetic! I always love a place that is cute and makes it just fun being there! -Their facials are so reasonably priced! Which leads me to the best part... -THEY HAVE HAPPY HOUR!!! Happy hour at a spa is literally the best invention ever! PLEASE DO THIS MORE. Their happy hour is from Tuesday through Thursday during the hours of 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM. They offer a discount on select spa services. I got the 30 minute facial bar and it was so amazing and again... so unique! It's almost like you're sitting down at a hair salon... the chairs are super comfy, and recline for you. Then the facial experience starts... and all of the products smell so good! They even have a little facial steamer that you get pampered with. I loved the entire experience. :) A few helpful hints... for parking, it's metered street parking. And for location... it's literally diagonal from the Downtown Market. Had my first facial here and it was so relaxing and chill. When I was looking for places around Grand Rapids that had facial services I was looking for two things: inexpensive options and aesthetic. Lex hit both of these by a long shot! My sister in law joined me for a "Facial with a Friend". We loved it because we were able to chat and hang out while Hunter worked with us both. This was my first time coming in and I don't think I will be going back unfortunately. I got the Acne Facial, and online it says it is 45 minutes, but mine took 30 minutes. Came in a week or so ago to get my eyebrows waxed and shaped and also to get my lashes lifted. I wasn't expecting the place to be so cute! Everyone was so nice and Hunter did an incredible job! My eyebrows were getting a little bushy and she made them look great! I also decided to get my lashes lifted which is something I had never done before. Hunter walked me through everything I needed to know about the process and was very knowledgeable! My lashes look incredible as well. The other thing that was really nice was not only being able to book your appointment online but that it included times for everything they offered. It was so nice because I was able to properly plan my day and not be wondering when I would be out or how long it would take. It was also great that they were true to the times they listed! I really appreciated this since I am pretty busy. The pricing was also great! It's such a nice quality of work for the pricing they offer. This is a cute space and service was pretty good. I did the 30 minute facial. However, I think for the price it's not worth it, the actual facial with hands-on was probably only 5 minutes altogether. The rest of the time was spent just sitting under the steamer. Made an appt for my sister and I during happy hour for the bring a friend facial where you get 2 30min facials for $50, what a deal!!! 1st I'll say I loved the decor and the vibe in the spa and it's right across from the downtown market. I came to Lex for the first time today for the stress relieving facial. The space is beautiful and so welcoming. Angela was my esthetician and she was wonderful! My facial included a private room which was comfortable, bed was heated, and overall was very relaxing. the facial it self was good the service once it was over was the worst experience in a salon /spa I've ever experienced! We we're going out after so we wanted to touch up our makeup so we asked if we could use the mirrors we were told sorta ok that we needed to hurry because they had other clients coming in.We were asked to move /hurry confused we asked could we use the mirrors if we hurried and we're told no! We asked if we could use the bathroom we were told no. We were told we used our 45 minutes allotted for a facial and we were asked to vacate the spa. I've been in the industry for 40 years have worked in three different salon/spas and would never ask a guest to leave because they have used up their allotted time after an appointment if they wanted to touch up their make up or hair after a service we would give them space and time they need that's what customer service is all about?! the owner was very defensive and rude.
