The first time I went, I did one streak of highlight called a flash highlight (over 200$) to test the waters and it turned out great, so I came back expecting the same quality. This time was completely different. Paige double-booked another client and had her assistant handle most of my appointment. The assistant was extremely rough while washing my hair even after I repeatedly asked her to be gentle. She seemed annoyed that I said something and actually handed me the brush and said "do you want to brush it?" I shouldn't have to explain the same thing twice to her assistant when I already paid for a consultation to make sure this wouldn't happen. Paige barely checked in, didn't review my foils before they were rinsed, and my hair came out yellow and orange instead of the cool blonde I asked for. I didn't even get to choose the toner or discuss the results before being told by the assistant to pay. I also asked for thicker highlights and ended up with baby lights that looked uneven in tone. I walked out in tears and paid $265 for results that look like I used a bottle of Sun-In at home. I'm beyond frustrated and will not be going back. Letting an inexperienced assistant take over while charging full price is completely unacceptable.

This happened to me the first time I bought a package, it expired and I walked away noting next time I will use my tans before 30 days. I have bought a few packages since then. The last time I bought a package was in March 2020, I used 3/6 tanning sessions- then COVID hit and they had to close. When they reopened, I called and left a voicemail asking when my membership would expire. Nobody called me back for a couple weeks. I went into the salon and asked when my package expired - the girl said August 28th. I immediately put it in my calendar to use my tans before then. I went into the salon on August 14th and the girl working told me I had NOTHING on my account. I explained her the situation and she said someone would get back to me. 1.5 weeks later - nothing. So I call again and leave a voicemail. Nothing. I find their email on FB and email them. Finally I get someone to call me - after chasing around for 2 weeks - and her solution was that they could give me back one out of two sessions I did not get to use. I kindly asked if they could give back both sessions that I paid for and I heard nothing back. I emailed them a few more times, went into the salon to follow up, and still nothing back. The management continuously ignored me. This salon is NOT cheap. The price you pay is for a professional experience and Tropi Tan does not give professional quality. The employee made a mistake, like humans do, and Tropi Tan refused to give me (a long time client) back what I paid for. I do not recommend tanning here because Tropi Tan is not a customer driven establishment.

Im located right between the two, so I tend to get to both every week. I am so over going out of my way for them to be closed during normal hours. Again today, 6pm and no ones there, same thing early Sunday. In the last month I bet I've gone to tan 6 to 8 times and they arent open. I have been unable to tan more than I have been able to. Seriously looking for what else is out there.

I was a loyal customer here for several years and was on their VIP membership plan. I want to be…read morefair because the actual spray tans were consistently great, and the staff members I interacted with over the years were always wonderful. Unfortunately, the customer service experience with ownership ultimately drove me (and several friends) away. The biggest issue is how inflexible and dismissive they are with customers regarding booking mistakes and billing issues. One example: I accidentally selected the wrong appointment date in their booking system. I realized it within minutes and immediately messaged the owner to correct it, but because the accidentally selected date was within 24 hours, the system locked me out from making changes myself. Rather than offering any grace or understanding, I was basically told I was out of luck and still charged. I completely understand having cancellation policies in place to protect appointment times. However, when a customer notices a simple mistake immediately, reaches out right away, and there are still multiple openings available for that date, the business has lost absolutely nothing. It feels less like protecting bookings and more like benefiting from customer errors. This apparently was not an isolated experience either. I know multiple people who had similar situations and felt brushed off rather than valued as longtime clients. I also personally experienced recurring issues with billing and automatic renewals/charges tied to the required credit card on file. After enough frustration, I finally decided to leave. It's unfortunate because the product itself is genuinely good. But eventually customer service matters just as much as the service being provided. I truly wanted to continue supporting this business, but it became clear that loyal customers were viewed as expendable rather than appreciated.
