Once again Lexington Auto Service Center came to my rescue! I discovered that the muffler was falling off of my Rav 4 and was making a horrible noise. I drove right to their shop and asked if they could take a look at it for me. They showed me that the center pipe and muffler had rusted out and was hanging off. Sam and Freddie told me that they could fix it for me, but they were flat out busy with repairs already underway. When they asked me if I could leave it the next day, I told them that I needed the car to get to work later in the day. They took my car and repaired it right away. They replaced the muffler and center pipe and had it done by midafternoon saving me from having to miss work. I can't thank them enough for bailing me out and fixing my car. Not only did they do a fantastic job, but the price was very reasonable for the amount of work done. I can't say enough how pleased I am with Lexington Auto Service Center. Thanks Guys!! read more

This review is for their 39 bedford st location. Perhaps the 1095 mass ave location is better but I guess I'll never know now. I just bought a new car and needed an inspection. I specifically looked for a nicer auto service place with good reviews hoping that my car would be handled gently as I just got it. I decided to go to Lexington Auto Service Center, their site had two locations so I picked the one closer to me. The guy that greeted me inside was helpful, told me to head across the street where there was an ATM as they are cash only. As i am about 40 feet away withdrawing cash I see the two guys who were supposed to do the inspection get into my car and rev it HARD, way harder than I would while driving, like 5+ times, while idling outside (so not yet in the garage or hooked up for emissions analysis, inspection hadn't even started yet). What the actual ****. No respect for other people's property (or maybe the guy doesn't know how to drive a stick shift). Imagine if my engine had been cold, luckily I had been driving around all day and it was fairly warm out. Don't come here if you own a vehicle you care about, clearly these two clowns in the shop just think other people's cars are toys for them to play with for the 15 minutes they have them. read more

After a routine oil change, a garage told me I needed to get the "flex" pipe fixed in my car's exhaust in order to pass the 'safety and emissions' component of the state inspection. I shopped around for a service center that would fix the just the pipe and most places quoted me a minimum of $500 or vaguely indicated that while they might be able to fix the area of concern, they might also find further problems with the exhaust which they would then need to fix as well. I felt like I would either be paying for repairs I didn't need or getting charged for an estimate without the hope of getting this pipe fixed. Then I found Lexington Auto Service Center. I was so impressed with their quality and professionalism that I opened a Yelp account just to spread the word! Lou was the gentleman who helped us; he put the car up on the lift and told us that he could custom install a 'cut-in' pipe for the problem area of the exhaust and could do it for quite cheap. While we were there, we asked him about replacing an AC belt (a longstanding problem) and he gave us an extremely fair price for that as well. His shop only took a few hours to complete all the repairs - including the state inspection - and Lou stayed true to his original quote, charging us exactly what he initially predicted. I love that I've found a repair shop that is professional, reasonably priced, and serious about treating their customers well. This place will be my go-to for any future automotive needs...it was an excellent experience overall. read more

They have always been very flexible with my budget and when I need the car to be done (I usually procrastinate and need it done ASAP). The pricing seems mostly reasonable to me (though I'm comparing it to the dealer and places I've heard over-charge), but their honesty and flexibility is worth it. read more

This week I had my first experience with the service center and I was very pleased! Walked in on a Tuesday morning around 7:45am with no appointment and was able to leave my car with the mechanic. My car had only a minor problem - exhaust shield needed some repair - but they took care of it at a very reasonable cost. I will recommend this place to my colleagues and friends.
