This is literally the only place I would ever go to or recommend for over 23 years. I'm 46 now and bought my 1st house at age 23 with their credit repair help because I stupidly didn't know all my late car payments were killing my credit worthiness. They can remove everything from court judgements (tort law) to car repos. My credit score is now in the 800's .....you have to do your part though. Follow all the steps and keep with it for at least 4 months. $100-ish per month. On my google reviews, I'm buildergirl...look me up, I'm real...I don't work for Lexington...but wish I did. POV: If you have a credit card with Chase bank, for example and they closed your account and you owe around $2300 (your $2k balance plus tacked on fees) and Chase bank sells the debt you owe to a collection agency....and you then CALL the collection agency and negotiate to pay $1200 not $2300 .....and agree to pay $100 a month for 12 months and then ask for the agreement to be sent to you via email with wording saying that the debt will be considered paid in full at payment number 12 of the agreed on amount. Once you have paid the settled amount THEY (the debt collector and Chase bank) can NOT re-report it. THAT is where Lexington law comes in....they remove the entire debt like it never happened.....NOW here is why the reviews may be so bad....people mistakenly start credit repair BEFORE the debt is settled. The debt collector has a right to -re-report for 7 years in Texas. So Lexington law is doing their job when they remove the bad stuff, and when it gets re-reported on Experian, Equifax , and Transunion....that's on you. Doesn't seem fair right? Well have you heard the phrase "not knowing the law does not put us above the law". BUT if you don't do your part, you'll be a customer of Lexington for 7 years instead of just a few months like I was. Now I had a few bumps in the road along the way to my 800 credit scores and actually hired them again and stayed with it for another 6 months. They are not thieves, they are priced cheaper than almost every other place and their website is VERY easy to use. I have been with Lexington Law for many years and when ever I had an issue I would call and be helped by a Paralegal in the US. I haven't called them in a while but when I called them today I am on hold for a long time and to find out the calls go to the Philippines and shocked to see a Law firm that helps credit repair has their paralegals in the Philippines. If that's even legal! First you can't understand what they are saying and calls got disconnected. I asked to speak to someone in the US and told me that they can't transfer. What a scam!. I am being sued by a creditor when LL was supposed to take care of these issues. There is no direct # for the corporate office in Salt Lake city Utah. The Toll free number posted in Google goes to the Philippines. One agent told me too keep calling and maybe I'll get Lucky to speak with someone in the US!!!!!!!! Was calling one of the credit places and ended up with these people and as I was talking to the first person and they gave me his word that they can help me find out why my credit score and why the credit place cant see my credit score. When he told me hey can I paid and after asking more then 1 time about can they find out why no one cant see my score I went forward with things. Got transferred to the next person and they told me different and said they cant help me with this problem. Told me I need to contact these place and i have tried and get this law farm every time the customer serves is very bad being they want to lie to get our money for work they don't even do you end up doing all the work. This is simple and logical. We saw craigslist ads for homes with rent way under market value. Suspicious, because we are also looking for a home to buy, we called the rent-to-own listing and found that they absolutely needed us to fix our credit, and it only could be done with Lexington Law. We needed a little credit repair, so we went along with the customer acquisition scam, plus we have the money to cover it in case it was a total scam. So, we signed up with Lexington Law, but the rent-to-own place said we had to provide proof that Lexington Law actually charged us before they would send a realtor out to show us the homes. Once payment was received from Lexington Law, all three phone numbers which I was given to contact them went dead. Nothing, Nada, Zip, Zilch. Via deductive reasoning and a review of the evidence we gathered, we determined that Lexington Law provides an actual and legitimate service; HOWEVER - and this is a big, however - a department that works for Lexington Law, or a 3rd party, is engaged in unscrupulous business tactics in order to drive new business to their company. Weird, you say? Maybe, we sure as hell thought so. But if you think about it, it makes sense. Fortunately, we are able to take the financial hit of a couple of hundred bucks, but can you, reading this right now, say the same? For nothing. Edit: they offered to call me and allow me to be a customer again, No thank you. I just received a call and talked to a representative. They said they couldn't pull up my previous account with them for security purposes but they could see that I have an account back in 2017. This is my second time using this credit repair service. I was pretty happy with the first time I used this service as I spoke to a real person with phone calls from time to time on current updates along with the next action items. However, my most recent experience was not so personal, infact the impression I have with them is formfilled cookie cutter automated workflow, which is not the service I was expecting. The system even took credit for an item that had dropped from my report after the 7-year mark. This was an item to have been dropped after 7 years of being on my credit report that showed on the Lexington app as being removed as a result of being a member. To be honest, there is absolutely nothing Lexington could do that can't be done on your own! They use cookie-cutter letters, and I have produced better results without having to give anyone power of attorney or any personal information. My advice to anyone looking to repair credit is to do some research and do all the necessary steps it takes to handle each account accordingly. Remember, all accounts are not all the same and will yield different results depending on how they are handled. The tools they provide don't really take this into perspective and can work against you. The choises they give to move to the next step don't always pertain to the individual and may influence you to make the wrong choice, which may result in undesirable results that can not be undone. Their customer service simply asks for more and more time, they can't give me any status updates on what they're doing, they don't make any claims of improving my score, I can't speak to a supervisor, and yet they charge me every month. Dear Lexington Law Firm, Never promise more than you can deliver or render as a service provider. I have only had them for a total of a month and during that time I am not really impressed. During such time yes, they removed 3 negative marks at the cost of 20 point nose dive on TransUnion and a 30 point nose dive on Equifax. My first consultation was what I would expect from a well-reviewed service. Though this is kind of a smokescreen as both Consumer affairs and BBB have them rated 2.5 average. To be honest anyone in this position would do what I did. Contact the service provider to cancel service and get a refund for services unrendered. At first, they tried to keep me as a customer by the bait and switch approached not once but 3 times. Towards the end of the conversation, I just said cancel services and refunded me for the month of August they refused too. I called my bank and asked for a chargeback in August. She called and they said they would have to get back with her. After no calls, she had to call back and to inquire what was affecting her credit score. They essentially could not nor would not do anything. She cancelled their services and the next month they still took out their fees. A complete waste of money using them, they actually do not know what they are doing or willing to help in any way. We have reported them and are fighting to get her money back, at least on the last month. Do not use them, they are worthless and quite unprofessional. As of January 15, 2018: Equifax: 693 TransUnion: 707 Experian: 709 This is through MyFICO website. Started on October 2017, scores climb up to 150-200 points. Might be a different pace for everyone. I do not recommend Lexington Law. The strung me along for 7 months. The last two month, my credit score started dropping, instead of rising, and I didn't have any new transactions. There is no shortcut to fixing credit. I paid my creditors off, but it still shows on my credit report. Credit still at 622. Lexington will give you the same lines over and again.
