Loved, loved loved our shakes! My grandson got the cotton candy and I got a butterbeer. We loved them and even though it was huge....and I mean huge...I pretty much finished all of mine. The seven year old was not even close. Both of these with all the flavors and the toppings were so good! I just can't say enough. The service was wonderful. The place is adorable! My second extreme milkshake adventure in Columbus. I have heard they can be very busy and have long wait times. Maybe it was raining that day and it's near Halloween so I luck out and did not have to wait long. It's a small shop but they do have around 4 tables for seating. They have an extensive menu with different ice cream flavors, and salty food too like popcorns and finger snacks. You are not able to choose the toppings for your milkshake but if there's a certain toppings that you do not want (like whipped cream in my case), do tell them. After looking through their different varieties of milkshake, I decided to get the butter beer (Harry Potter fan). It's a limited shake and it was nice that they are able to do it today! It taste like caramel but it's not overly sweet which is a good thing. They added jelly bean to the bottom of the cup so there's sweet surprises when you sip the milkshake. It's then topped with mini donuts, chocolate chip caramel brownie(I think), popcorn, chocolate and more jelly beans. And also, a Harry Potter card and glasses(that's not shown but hidden at the back). So much toppings for $15 and you get to keep the cup too. Their toppings do change depending on the availability. It was a nice experience for me and insta-worthy~ I feel the price is decent compared to the other milkshake place I visit before as they did not use disposable cup and they put a variety of different toppings to try to stack their toppings till mountain-high which makes it look like extreme milkshake. FYI- Do follow them on social media like Facebook as they run promotions every now and then. Also, they charge a fee for credit card use. Today my boyfriend and I went to the shop on a hot summers day. I must say that the cookie dough sundae was better than I expected because it had a variety of textures and flavors... not your usual confection. My boyfriend liked his peanut butter cup sundae. I really enjoyed this! I got the turtle waffle or something with the chocolate waffle. The ingredient combo was excellent and I really like it. The only thing I didn't like was that the container was smallish so it was difficult to get to the waffle at the bottom without eating too much ice cream up front. Specifically chose two that were made with powdered sugar donuts (according to their menu descriptions) because I am not a fan of Cinnamon. Like at all. After eating at La Tavola, we decided that we wanted dessert elsewhere. I pulled up Yelp and searched for dessert spots in Columbus, OH. This business was advertised, so I looked through the reviews and pictures. It totally looked like an experience. I showed the hubs and he was totally interested, so we drove about 15 minutes to this spot. Parking is cumbersome. We ended up parking in a neighborhood and were totally scared that the car would be towed. Upon entrance there were only two patrons inside eating so we came at a great time. I ordered the Smores Galore Extreme Sundae and my hubby ordered the Turtle Cheesecake Extreme Sundae. Please be aware that it took the two young ladies working the counter 15 minutes to make our order. So if there is a line, you will be waiting a long time to get your order taken and completed. Once we received our order, I was overwhelmed, but in a good way. I didn't know where to to start. The toasted marshmallow was so good and the cheesecake, brownies, chocolate, and ice cream were scrumptious. It was so much dessert and kind of pricey, but it was worth the experience. Overall we both gave our desserts 5/5 stars. I found Libby Lou's on yelp and told my hubs we had to try it. It's a very small, quaint joint and we were overwhelmed at first because there are sooooooo many things we want to try. If I could rate 0 stars I would. For starters, I waited for an hour and 15 minutes for one shake. I was trying to be understanding and patient but when you see half the employees there standing around doing nothing, you start to get fed up. The employees lied about the wait times to other customers. I saw them on TikTok and wanted to help support a local business but that was the worst customer service I had ever experienced if you can even call it that. My boyfriend finally stepped in and told other people that we had been waiting almost an hour for one shake when they were telling people it would be 20-25 minutes. After that, it took another half hour and we could hear the employees making snide remarks about us. We were not the only ones who were upset by this point. Parents with 2 children outside had been waiting almost as long as us and we heard them say "We've been waiting an hour, this is f***ing ridiculous." Waiting an hour and 15 minutes for a $15 mediocre milkshake was not worth it. I will not be returning nor do I recommend anyone else suffer through that. We took our daughter here for the first time for her birthday. I love supporting local businesses, but unfortunately I can't with good conscience recommend this place based on our experience. When we were there the owner and daughter were working along with another staff member that seemed new. Unfortunately, everything was so unorganized that it took an hour for us to get all of our orders (they came out separately, our daughter was done with her before we even had ours). Instead of having a dedicated staff person to make the shakes, another to take orders and handle the DoorDash orders, everyone was slowly walking around doing things, not in any particular order. People who walked in and ordered shakes 20 minutes after us received their items while ours just sat half started on the counter. The employees seemed pretty miserable even though there were hardly any customers. The menu is way too extensive, it's an entire book. While this seems appealing, I feel this place would be better served picking a few top items and doing them well. I believe this would also help cut down the preparation time. The shop itself is very small, with our family and another family we filled every seat. Our shakes were just okay, our daughter ordered something that she thought was going to be a shake but ended up just being shaved ice (our mistake). We spent over $40 and went home disappointed that we finished her birthday celebration here. We won't be returning. read more

We really love this addition to the neighborhood. They have an amazing menu with lots of different sweets. On our first visit my kids had bubble tea and ice cream. Our second visit was to pick up $20 worth of various candies and we tried their donuts. Their candy selection is amazing and the prices are fair. The pictures of their milkshakes, Apple nachos and cotton candy burritos look amazing and we look forward to trying them on another visit. We waited to get into the store for 40 min as there were 2 groups of 4 people ahead of us and they only allow 4 people in at a time. Though the wait was much longer than we expected we appreciated that they take this precaution. Unfortunately once we were inside store 2 out of 3 employees( possibly owner) had their masks pulled below their noses. Really? My only other critique was that the donuts were stale and reheated rather than being freshly cooked. Also the donuts were quite pricey for what was received. $4.75 for 6 mini donuts. Took a star off of my review for poor mask etiquette/ safety and another for the stale donuts. Hope to give a better review next time. read more

I'd like to share an experience had at this establishment. A friend of mine was having a very bad day. A dear family member had passed and she decided a banana split was in order. The staff was informed of her having a bad day (but not in detail) and was asked to be extra friendly and helpful. They not only made her the best banana split she'd ever had, but the staff was so unbelievably kind and friendly. Going out of their way to make THIS banana split the very best they could. Placed an online order at 830am to be ready at 1200. I received a confirmation email stating my order will be ready at 1205. I get there at 1210 and the woman was extremely rude telling me it would take 45 minutes and she confirmed that. I again told her my confirmation email says 1205. I completely Understand it takes time to make them, which is why I placed the order 4 hours ahead. The shakes were delicious but they woman was extremely rude and unfortunately I will not return. Being talked to like that is not worth the $85 I paid for the shakes. read more

I would like to set the record straight regarding your response to my initial review on 8/21/2021. It was The Columbus Dispatch article written on 7/26 that encouraged me to visit your restaurant. There was NO mention of the lack of seating in this promotional article. Your response regarding the credit card fee of 4% does have some merit. But you also restrict payment to extact change only or a credit card with a 4% charge. So basically, without exact change a credit card is the only method of payment. Finally, we were not the customers blocking the door way we paid our bill and walked outside and ate our ice cream in the car. We also did not throw a shake cup in the street, we did not order a shake. This small business enterprise has potential but please listen to your customers and improve some of these road blocks. read more
