I visited for the first time yesterday. The shop is easy to access and there's decent parking in the lot. It seems the storefront isn't open right now because a sign on the door said to use the drive thru. The drive thru doesn't have great signage but it's on the backside of the building. I ordered a signature cinnamon roll and an unsweetened medium iced tea. The ice tea was way over steeped and very bitter. Had the storefront been open, I probably would have asked for a different drink because it was bad, but since it was a drive thru, I ended up throwing it away. But the good news was that I barely though about the iced tea at all because the cinnamon roll was so good. They offered to warm the bun up for me, but I declined since I was eating it later. The roll is large-- it took up almost all the space in a standard clamshell container. As for taste, the gooey cinnamon filling is generous, and the icing is heaped on but light and sweet. I ate the roll over the course of the day. It is hefty and definitely worth the $4! I'm looking forward to the next time I can find a reason to treat myself to another roll. read more

Always great baked goods. If they're sold out of what you order, rest assured everything else is just a great. Get there early if you want a cinnamon roll or long John. I have read about this place but too far to drive in the early mornings and closed when I'm their way but I happened to be in the area when I read on Facebook they were having a sell on the 39 cinnamon rolls they had left over for $2.50 a piece at 6:30pm. I looked up how far they were - only 5 minute drive, so the pto lady in me came up with the great idea to purchase the rolls for Friday to surprise the teachers. Atleast I thought that was great.... I was the second customer in line, drive thru only as dining room is closed per sign on front door. As I pulled up to speaker there is a huge menu on the wall, I never realized how many items they have in their shop. The woman on the speaker asked how she could help me, there was a sign taped to the speaker that said "ask about our discounted rolls". So I did what the sign said and the lady asked me how many I would like, I shared with her I was going to purchase for the teachers at school the next day, she said ok let me count and see how many we have. Maybe a minute went by I assumed she was counting and came back and said they now have a limit of 6. So they set the limit of 6 on the spot. She told me it wouldn't be fair to the other customers if I got all of them. Umm I was going to buy 25 and give them each to a different person. That would be 25 new customers. So I said ok thank you and left without any cinnamon rolls. Btw I posted that on their Facebook page and the owner made a comment back and blocked me. I was not rude I posted my experience. The line wrapped around the shopping center. From the front a sign clearly stated to use the drive thru right now. We ordered two cinnamon rolls, a hot chocolate, and an iced coffee. The hot chocolate was smooth and creamy with just a hint of chocolate flavor. The iced coffee was a cool delight of semi sweetened brew, cream and whipped topping. The star of this adventure were the cinnamon rolls. Dripping with cream cheese icing, they were still warm from coming out of the oven. We split one and put the second away for later. We stopped by their new addition, the food trailer on a Saturday morning. We got a few cinnamon rolls that were fresh, huge and delicious. The icing taste homemade and creamy. The cinnamon roll had the perfect dough to filling ratio. The trailer was difficult to find when in New Albany a few Saturdays ago, so that's why we have it 4 stars. They was no specific address and they were supposed to be at 2 different locations. We drove around and around the first location and had no luck finding them. We got coffee and drove around the 2nd location and still didn't find them. We had to drive around for about 45 minutes trying to find them. Just when we were about to give up, we spotted it! It was worth the adventure! We also tried a no bake cookie, chocolate chip cookie and oatmeal cream pie. All were also fabulous. read more

While looking for recommendations for breakfast, saw several references to this shop. They all mentioned the cinnamon rolls and long johns and just how good they were. So, I placed my order, picked them up and took them home. OMG, absolutely wonderful. The best we have ever eaten!!! The icing is amazing and the Long Johns are to die for. I am a bit confused about all of these reviews. I received a gift card for Rolls by the Pound so I decided to drive all the way out to Newark yesterday to give them a try. Upon placing my order at the drive-thru for 2 cinnamon rolls, 1 pecan roll, and a small green tea - I was informed that the pecan roll was not fresh but I would be given a discount because of this and that there was no green tea available. My first concern after placing my order was reaching the window and noticing that the employee was not wearing a mask at all which I was completely disgusted by as a professional chef and as a consumer in the middle of a worldwide pandemic. My spouse's review of the day old pecan roll was: "it was ok. Very cinnamon-y, which I like". My review of the cinnamon rolls were another story: these are the WORST cinnamon rolls (if you want to call it that) that I have ever eaten... or tried to eat. The cinnamon roll was hard to the touch, bone dry on the palate, and had an obscene amount of cinnamon in them. These "cinnamon rolls" tasted as if they had ZERO butter in them. The stale texture reminded me of stale bread covered in cinnamon paste. I am not talking about maybe the batch was made the day before but, they tasted as if they were made several days prior and/or left out in a display cooler for a few nights in a row. I have never been so offended by the taste of something sweet in all my days. I also try not to write negative reviews but the cinnamon rolls were gross and went right in my trashcan after a 40 min drive to get them. Drove an hour to go and try the cinnamon rolls and decided to try the long johns too. Both were so amazing and worth the drive! The long John had light fluffy cream throughout the whole donut and a sweet layer of icing on top. The cinnamon roll had plenty of cinnamon and sugar throughout the soft roll and topped with a thick layer of cream cheese icing. Only downfall was they had sold out of glazed donuts. Next, I was in desperate need of caffeine for my drive back to Athens on a dreary, rainy day. I got the Roll's Signature Mocha and it did not disappoint.
