My bigger issue is (1) they don't provide you anything in writing even after asking multiple times (2) I agreed to have them complete the repairs on my unit for a total of $1,300, minus the amount of the service call ($62). (3) The tech was supposed to be processing my payment of $62 for the service call on my debit card and he charged me for the entire $1,300 repair that hadn't taken place. I was ASSURED by this tech that it would be reversed first thing this morning by their office team. I never intended to pay the actual repair on my debit card, which I told the tech before he ran the charge. I have now placed 4 calls to them for a status update, each time i'm advised an urgent message has been sent to accounting to reverse the transaction but no reversal has taken. There is zero sense of urgency for them to rectify their "mistake". This was only caught when I asked the tech to provide me with a receipt for the amount I was paying. I have since canceled my service call with them because I have little faith in their integrity based on something so simple that was an error on their part taking an entire day to resolve. Remarkably unprofessional, inconsiderate and poor customer service. I will share this review on every platform.

I don't want to leave any star, but oh well no choice…read more On 4/8/2026, my air unit was not cooling. Jacob came to my home and told me i needed a coil replacement. My unit is a 2019, it is still under warranty. Jacob tells me that Trane don't have any, they would only give the new coil that takes the new freon and that i would have to change out outdoor unit. He said he had to get it from a local supply house and it could be around $1200 more plus the labor and freon cost. Well I called Trane and Trane stated companies has to call other vendors to find the supplies and that yes the freon changed but companies brought it in stock piles, so they would need to call around. Trane rep said there are supplies out there. So i called a different HVAC company to come assess. At first i had them to see if they could get the coil, they could, then i told them i wanted them to come service and see what I needed bc at this point i didn't trust that i needed a coil replacement. This is what they found: * System was found overcharged by approximately 2 pounds of refrigerant. * Complete eletronic leak check performed on the entire system -- No leaks detected recommend a follow up in a month to confirm no refrigerant loss * High Pressure Switch (HPS) and Low Pressure Switch (LPS) were removed from the control circuit. * Service ports had no Schrader valve caps installed. So what they did was: * Recovered 2 pounds of excess refrigerant to return the system to the proper charge level. * Reinstalled and properly reconnected the High Pressure Switch (HPS) and Low Pressure Switch (LPS) into the control circuit. These critical safety devices are now fully operational. * Installed two new Schrader valve caps on the high-side and low-side service ports to prevent leaks and contamination. My unit is working properly. NO COIL WAS CHANGED. I paid way less than expected with the new HVAC company. I ended my membership.

I had a crazy situation and if I could, I would give Stanley Steemer Cordova 10 stars!…read more This absolute mess happened during the Super Bowl. A full bucket of water tipped over and drenched my carpet. While it was clean water, we're talking completely soaked. Then, because when it rains it pours, my sister's teacup dog had an accident in another room. I called Stanley Steemer figuring I'd just leave a message (it was the Super Bowl, after all), but they actually picked up! They were even ready to come right then, but I told them to wait until the next day since I didn't want to ruin their game day. The next day, Jonathan showed up and OMG, you could tell this wasn't his first day on the job, so I asked. He's been with Stanley Steemer for 11 years (as of February 2025), and it really shows. He took one look at the water damage and got straight to work. No fuss, just pure efficiency. He pulled out this heavy-duty equipment and went to town on both the flood zone and the pet accident. Used different techniques for each problem - serious water extraction for the spill and some special cleaning process for the pet mess. By the time he was done, you wouldn't believe anything had happened to the carpet. What really impressed me was how he walked me through everything he was doing. Not in a condescending way, but just keeping me in the loop. He showed me how the machines work, explained why he was using certain cleaning solutions, and made sure I knew how to handle similar issues in the future (though hopefully I won't need to). Here's something worth mentioning - Stanley Steemer always has some kind of special running. Because the price was so reasonable, I added a third room, and it was reasonable especially considering the quality of work you get. The fact that they handle emergencies, even during major sporting events, really sets them apart. If you're in the Memphis/Cordova area and need your carpets sorted out, definitely go with Stanley Steemer and ASK FOR JONATHAN. After seeing him tackle my disasters, I'm convinced there's no carpet emergency he can't handle. Seriously, the guy turned what could have been a total nightmare into a surprisingly smooth experience. I've already saved their number for any future carpet catastrophes - though hopefully not during next year's Super Bowl!

The tech spent over two hours and took 22 photos of the AC system, the furnace, the hot water tank, the main breaker box. 22 photos trying to find something else to tell us needed replacing. He said we had a leak but he could not find it. He said he could do a pressure test for $400. and keep looking, or we could buy a complete new AC system for $10,000. I asked if he would refill system with refrigerant while we considered our options. He said that would cost $190 a pound for the refrigerant which required 8 pounds, for a cost of $1,520. Our system still had 12 months of original warranty remaining but the tech was of no assistance in determining if the leak was even in one of the AC components still under warranty. He was only interested in selling more testing, or a complete new system. The next day I called another company. He showed up on Sunday no less, found the leak in 30 minutes, tightened a connection, added 2 pounds of refrigerant, and charged us $260. for a SUNDAY service call ! I paid Choate's $159. for their trip charge plus a diagnostic fee, which was " You have a leak." And remember my system was installed by Choate's and still under warranty. Stay away from Choate's, run away from Choate's as fast as you can.
