Always had good service until today. Tall dark haired attendant actually called me a foul name yodsy because I asked him not to wash my windows. As I pulled out he screamed the foul name loudly in front of other customers. I am due an apology but assume one will never come. I'd advise avoiding this station on North main in Doylestown as long as this I'll mannered attendant is still there. read more

Liberty on Main was recommended to me by a friend. I have a 97 Tahoe that had rusted brake and fuel lines, very common on that year. I called 2 shops including Liberty for quotes. I was quoted $850.00 to replace the rear brake lines only from the first shop, I called Liberty on Main got an estimate that was half that. I dropped off the Tahoe and got a call that the fuel line and front brake lines were also bad. In the end I only paid $740.00 for all of the brake lines and fuels lines to be replaced. Listen I read the bad review on this place, you can not make everyone happy, I understand cars and know an honest value when I get one. From what I understand the station was bought by new owners a few months ago. I will return for work on my vehicles. read more

I reserved a u-haul rental at this location for 7am as it was listed as a location that you could do an early pick up. I arrived at 7:30 am to find the business was not open. Shortly after arriving one of the service attendants arrived and was not helpful in contacting the owner to open the business or to give any indication on how to proceed with my rental. Total losers and inconsiderate of their patrons. Do NOT use this business. read more

Here's what I just submitted to the Attorney General's office: I took my car in get emissions and state inspection. Was told that car needed new rear brakes and a new drive belt. I knew those were both lies, but just to be sure I took the car to Thompson Toyota to confirm, which they did. Brakes and belt were absolutely fine. While the car was in for inspection the manager (Pete) also took it upon himself to replace a light bulb for nearly $20. I never authorized any work to be done, other than the inspection. Fortunately I had a $20 coupon for the station, which I was able to use. Otherwise I would have demanded he take it out. I've heard from others in the community that the shop used to be good, but was purchased two years ago and now commonly cheats consumers. read more

I was on my way to an appointment in Doylestown, but I was coming from New Jersey. I noticed my tire was almost completely flat. I stopped here for help. Even though they were very busy, they took a few moments to help me out, finding a nail in my tire and plugging the hole for a fair price of $15. They didn't try to convince me of anything worse, like most repair shops. They just told me that whenever I'm in town, I can stop here and they will check and refill the air in my tires. I wish I lived closer! You can't beat service like that! read more

Avoid this place. They may have been good in past, but I am told there is a new greedy owner. My daughter took her car in. Somewhat of an emergency situation, and she is a teen. I spoke with Liberty on the phone. I trusted what they said, and they took full advantage of our situation. They ended up charging over $1100 for what should have been no more than $700. I have since researched this very carefully, and had another trusted mechanic review the Liberty bill. Am considering legal action. read more

I had the same experience as a previous reviewer. I was informed my brakes needed replacement to pass inspection. I had a set of pads ready to go so I told them that. When I got there, my car was sitting with a "passed" sticker. I took the old brakes out and checked them with a caliper- and while worn, they had plenty of life left. They also charged me for a bulb replacement without getting my consent but that wasn't such a big deal and the cost was reasonable so I didn't complain. On another instance, they refused to honor the warranty of a part they replaced making a claim that I hadn't been to them in the past year (which wasn't true) and then the fact that I put new pads on 2 days previously even while acknowledging this was not the cause of the issue. Things got a bit heated at that point and Pete pointed out that he didn't want me as a customer and why would I take my car there if I didn't trust them - he was right. read more

I took my car here for annual inspection in November because I only had one morning free of work before the inspection ran out. They got me right in, but when they called to let me know the results of the inspection, he told me I needed a bunch of repairs and that if I didn't do them now the results could be disastrous (the cabin filters need replacing, or it'll "murder" your gas mileage, the belt needs replacing or it could fly off in the middle of the highway, etc). I pay attention to my gas mileage, and it hasn't budged since I bought the car 6 year ago. I also regularly check my fluids and belts, and the serpentine belt shows no signs of dry rot or wear. But the kicker was when he said my engine coolant was nearly water, and if I didn't pay them hundreds of dollars to flush and replace it, my engine block could crack if the temperature stays below freezing. Now, I was very skeptical about this, because I don't know how coolant magically turns into water and I already had the sense they were using scare tactics to con me into spending a lot of money on repairs I didn't need. So I told them not to perform anything besides the inspection as this time and I'd bring the car back at a later date when I could afford such service. Now this was at the end of November...we all know how cold this winter got, with temperatures in the single digits day after day. And guess what, my engine block didn't crack. The car didn't even hesitate to start on those frigid mornings. I take that as confirmation this guy straight up LIED to me in an effort to steal money for repairs I didn't need. I don't like to jump to the gender thing, but it truly makes me wonder if this scenario would have been different if I were not a young female. I'm a working, self-sufficient adult who relies on her car a great deal. It's despicable that it's almost impossible to find a repair shop that will be honest and fair with me. read more

6/6/2014 I was charged 600.00 to have my speedometer repaired. 3 weeks later it stopped working. Then I had to pay another 300.00 to have it repaired, at an other repair place, at the shore. Liberty would not make good on there work. Never go there, even if the gas is cheep. read more

Worst experience ever- I called on a Tuesday to see if I could bring my car over the next day because of a check engine light that was coming on. They said it would be fine. When I came over the next day they told me they could not work on it because they didn't have the time (which is weird because I called the day before, and was told they could ) I was told to bring it back the following day- when I brought it back the following day they told me they were to busy and that there would be no way for them to work on it. I was told they would be able to look at it the next day (making it Friday) At that point I was so frustrated and could not believe what they were telling me, the guy just said sorry there is no way we can look at it for you today. I ended up taking my car somewhere else because I was sick of the run around. Don't waste your time with this place. read more

I knew prior owners who were outstanding, Long-term stewards of their business. They retired in 2015 or so. New owners have zero customer service or management skills. I have never written a review on any company but was compelled to do so because of one of the more disrespectful experiences I had with one of their moron employees. I drove to their business office to inform them and got zero support. The same moron is still there over a year later. Guy should have been fired that day. read more

overcharged me three times for gas over several months. first time i thought honest mistake (only $10 over). second time, they handed back $10 (debit card had been used). third time, attendant argued that all the pumps do it....no apology at all. vehemently denied punching in amount charged. Also takes DAYS for charge to be processed. there are two other stations in town that pump for you - avoid this one at all costs. read more
