My husband made brunch reservations at Maddy Rose for 1 pm on Valentine's Day. They weren't too crowded when we first arrived, but within an hour the restaurant started filling up. We were able to get a table for two right in front of the glass windows, which was nice. There are limited Yelp reviews about the venue, so I wasn't able to do much research on the menu and food ahead of time. I've never been to a wedding at Liberty House, so I had never stepped foot in the space before. It's very big, several different rooms and it's very bright, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows that provide beautiful views of the NYC skyline. When we were first seated, we were given brunch food menus, brunch drink menus, and the cocktail/wine menu. Five minutes later when the server came by, he took away our brunch cocktail menu and said we had to order off the main drink menu. I didn't get a chance to look at the brunch drink menu closely before he took it away. I suspect this was so they could price drinks at a premium given it was a holiday (even though the server denied that when I asked him). I had two Hugo spritzes at $15 each, which felt very pricey. My husband's espresso martini was only $14, and usually those are more. I can't find the brunch drink menu online anywhere, so I have no way to see what drinks are on it and double-check the pricing. Service was slow. Drinks took a long time to come out. To start, we shared the Caesar salad, which came out in like 60 seconds. It says it comes with pita zattar croutons; it literally had two small pita crisps. Kinda pathetic. For entrees, I had the Nutella French toast and my husband had the steak and eggs. The French toast said it had bananas, but there was no banana to be found- just strawberries and blueberries. It was tasty, though. My husband enjoyed his steak and eggs; however, for $45, I'd expect a little more meat. They also put out a complimentary bread basket to start: a couple mini muffins and some toasted, stale bread. Overall, the food was mediocre. They have a parking lot; however, make sure not to scan the QR code in the parking lot and immediately pay. Wait until you get inside the venue and scan the QR code at the host's station so it's free/validated. My husband made the mistake of paying right away, and there was no way to get our $8 back. I tried to call the venue ahead of time to ask about the parking situation, but they have a stupid bot answering the phones and it wasn't transferring me to a human. I don't know that we'll be back anytime soon. the experience was fine, but nothing I need to return for. read more

I took my team to Maddy Tose at the Liberty House for our holiday gathering, and it was the perfect choice. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the gorgeous holiday decor. Miguel, our server, was exceptional, warm, attentive, and so helpful in walking us through the menu and even capturing beautiful photos for us. The food was delicious, all 10 of us were satisfied with our dishes. The ambiance was festive, and my team had an amazing time. I highly recommend this place. Tonight I attended the 19th Annual New Jersey Taste for Sight to enjoy a selection of wine, beer, and spirits to support the Foundation Fighting Blindness' mission to find treatments and cures for blinding retinal diseases. We hosted our corporate event in the Liberty Room and it was phenomenal. Great views of NYC & the outdoor lawnspace. The room has many windows to offer natural light. Danielle helped organize our event and she was always so gracious to respond and assist me. She made recommendations based on her experience, connected me with some exceptional vendors (team building and audio/visual). We had been in contact for more than 6 months, so I really appreciate her grace. On the day of the event, we accessed the space and set up. Breakfast & lunch were provided on time, as described. We also had a snack bar. The food was amazing. Lunch, I had the Salmon & mashed potatoes w/ pasta & caesar salad. I wish I had taken photos of the food. Went with my good friend Rob for a Christmas event that I mistakenly booked a day later. We decided to stay there and have a Christmas dinner. Everyone from the front to the management to the waiter were just outstanding and pleasant. The food was tasteful. Delicious. His steak cooked to perfection. My fish also cooked equally to perfection. We decided we would go back together at some point in the future. Of course there is plenty of parking there. we were invited as part of an excursion package for Thanksgiving dinner. The food was okay though the menu we were given was not adhered to with no explanation. The presentation was lacking.There was no service. the staff delivered food to the table and that was that. The staff acted as if they didn't want to be there. I attended a company event at Liberty House where most of our company's events were outside which I was happy about since COVID still persists. The view is just outstanding, as the grounds itself. My first time. Went for Sunday brunch. Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent drinks. The restaurant has beautiful views of skyline. Grounds are well manicured. Perfect venue for a wedding. We had chicken lollipops and deviled eggs for appetizers--scrumptious! There were three of us. One ordered the brisket omelette which was too delicious for words! I had Belgium waffles with fruit and cream. Lightest fluffiest waffles I've ever had. The third entree was chicken and waffles which was excellent too. For dessert: heavenly banana icecream, chocolate cake and delicious creme brulee. I will definitely come back. It was a birthday brunch and our wait staff was knowledgeable and very attentive. So I attended my friend's wedding this past weekend and boy was this a gorgeous venue. The night view of the Manhattan skyline alone was worth 5 stars. Both inside and outside were spectacles to behold. The cocktail party was held in what seemed like a nicely decked-out greenhouse. Round tables with seating of 5-6 were nicely laid out and two main areas of food were displayed in the center. One station had your cheese selections, breads crackers and assortment of fruits. The other station had the hot selections like eggplant parmesan and fried calamari. The main reception was done on the 2nd floor. The interior was decked out with ceiling rainfall lights. Very intimate and the large windows looking out to Manhattan was absolutely breathtaking. The backdrop of the skyline really provided the perfect ambiance for the lovely couple. I wouldn't think twice about doing a wedding reception here. Yes, it's a bit of a drive from the boroughs of NY but I'd do it 10 out of 10 times. The views are so damn nice! read more

They used the Pavillion Tent room for the proposal and it was spectacular and then had a wonderful dinner at Maddie Rose. My daughter and future son-in-law said to me that is was the best night of their lives and my daughter said it was the proposal she had dreamed of. Without Tom and their wonderful staff this would not have come together. We are forever grateful to them. Your event stylist Casey's post-event antics were a circus of unprofessionalism and deceit. From baseless accusations to ludicrous threats, it's a masterclass in how not to handle clients. Their credibility is a sinking ship, and their mislabeling of gratuity as an 'admin invoice' is a hilarious attempt at deception. Not to mention a complete lack of service during the event, couldn't tell you who the maitre d was, ignoring nut allergies for guests (which is negligent on their entire staff), etc. The list goes on and on. Be warned, if you have a serious allergy, this institution will ignore it for a paycheck. A train wreck of an experience, and we will never do business with them again. read more

I am not quite sure where to begin on how magical our dream wedding was this past December at the Liberty House! The view alone speaks for itself - we rented four heaters and our guests were in and out all night taking incredible pictures, I truly cannot wait to receive our photography and video footage! The décor inside the grand ballroom was absolutely stunning! We did a winter white with some silver accents (like napkins and ornaments in the cylinder centerpieces) We added this big white ribbons and streamed lights on the ceiling and it was truly breathtaking! The team we were supplied with at LH for our wedding was INCREDIBLE. Gio, our maître de handled the entire event making sure everything was running smoothly. Leslie, our bridal attendant to make sure me and hubby had everything we needed was incredible. From following us outside to take pics in 30 degree weather just to bustle my dress and take a pic on her phone for me, to making sure we always had a drink and water at our table, or a mirror and my lipstick! She was the best ever and so attentive to us all night long. Our guests are still raving about the food. We added a few additional stations at our cocktail hour and chose three entrees for the reception plus we added the full Viennese hour - every dish was consistent and delicious. We had the pleasure of meeting both chefs during our tasting (which have both been there 15+ years). The group taste testing is treated like a mini wedding! I have never seen anything like it. Fully staffed with a real cocktail hour, passed hors d'oeuvres, full bar, table seating, and you can bring up to 6 guests so that was really nice to do with our parents. Everything ran so smoothly and I had nothing to worry about at all. I dropped everything off the day prior and the day of everything was truly perfect... Thanks to COCO! Christina Hope - aka Coco, deserves a standing ovation from the world at all times. She is a true master at her craft and has become a life long friend of mine now through this entire process. She was my wedding planner at the LH who helped me plan my 300 person wedding. Her kindness, generosity, expertise, and beautiful spirit/personality made the experience with LH exceed all my expectations in planning a wedding. I love her dearly and am sure of it that you will find numerous testimonial that say the same all over weddings sites everywhere. I will recommend The Liberty House to all friends and family for dinner and events always! We recently hosted my son's bar mitzvah reception in the Liberty Room, and I cannot say enough good things about it. From start to finish, Liberty House treated us like family and they left absolutely no detail unaddressed. We knew we were in good hands from the first time we met with Danielle, our event coordinator. Danielle was consistently attentive, helpful and responsive for the many months leading up to our event - she was so incredibly kind and patient with me and my thousand questions. Her care and concern for making sure it was the best day possible for my family came through so clearly. We truly had so much fun working together on putting this event together, and in the end it was flawless. The menu was perfection (so many choices, and a super fun tasting to figure out what we wanted!!!), our guests have been raving about the food, both at the cocktail hour and the plated lunch. The service was impeccable, we felt like our glasses were never empty and there was always someone available to assist if we needed anything. The views from the back patio are unparalleled, and the venue itself is just gorgeous. Gave this Restaurant a call at 7:45 tonight (Sunday) asked for an 8:30 reservation and was told that we could come right over and have wonderful seating outside on the water, may be a short wait but no problem they just could not take any more reservations this evening. When we arrived at 8:40 we were told that the kitchen was closed!!! My companion freaked out a bit then was told that we'd only be accommodated sitting at the bar and ONLY can order appetizers. Wanted to share with all my families experience with the Liberty House Brunch on 9/8. Was my wife's Birthday and she has been wanting to go to the Liberty House for years as she is originally from Jersey City. The venue and the view along with the staff were beyond expectations. However we did have a serious issue with the food. Five (5) people, out of 7 in the party, had the crab cakes. All 5 had a diagnosis of food poisoning. My son was in the ER all Monday night with vomiting, stomach pain and Montezuma's revenge. My daughter in law was up all last night with vomiting. My wife had to be sent by ambulance to the ER Tuesday morning. She had serious pain that caused her to seek assistance. Myself along with my younger son have stomach pain along with Montezuma's revenge for two days. The Five of us in the party all had the Crab Cakes. Dr's believes that food poisoning is the cause. The only common denominator, for all five of us, were the Liberty House Crab Cakes. Contacted the Liberty House and their response was unacceptable. Manager stated he was sorry we were ill but he checked with his chef and the crab cake were made Sunday morning. I appreciate the chef's response that they were made Sunday as I expected they would be. However did you check how they were stored all day? Were they refrigerated? Were the ingredients good or outdated? Were they cooked properly? Many things go into food being spoiled . To just take the chef's word that they were made fresh that day is not very reassuring. Food Poisoning is something that should be taken very seriously. To have 5 people get food poisoning and to have 2 people have to go to the ER is extremely dangerous. The Liberty House POOR RESPONSE is very disturbing to say the least. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO EVER GO TO THE LIBERTY HOUSE. read more

We booked our date on that same day and didn't look at a single other place, and we are so thankful that we did. Everything about the day of our wedding was perfect. The truth is that we had all of these in Christina alone. She is absolutely amazing at everything that she does. She made sure that our day was an absolute dream, and the best day of our lives. Her communication is impeccable, and she would reply to our texts and emails within minutes every time. She is extremely organized and knows everything about the business. We know she is above and beyond committed to every single one of her clients. Even during the most stressful of times up until the big day, she was perfectly reliable and on top of more than we could have ever asked for. We are happy and proud to say that through our whole experience, we found someone that we got more than just close with... We found a great friend. The staff here are idiots. Walked up through the back entrance and asked a manager if we could be seated. He said check with the hostess. Fine. Ask the hostess to sit on the porch. She asks what I mean. I clarify the porch is the outdoor seating area of the restaurant. She then responds that the kitchen is closed. Food is coming out, which is observe aloud to her. That is our last order, I am informed. I'm very thirsty so I stop by the bar for a glass of water. Query the very nice bartender when the kitchen closes. She responds that the kitchen closes from 3-5pm. Pretty reasonable, but it's only 2:30 and we wanted a cocktail and maybe an app. She indicates that the hostess probably just didn't want to seat us. Nice. Tell the manager I don't appreciate being lied to from the staff, but he said there was an event there anyway so they couldn't seat us, which he failed to mention when I asked for seats the first time. My husband and I went there for lunch. While our meal was delicious, I didn't think service was all that great especially with a specific waiter. I mentioned about sharing my meal with my toddler and he said the dish was too small. He did not bother telling me there was a kids menu. I only found out about the kids menu when the table next to us asked about it. Why couldn't he also tell us about the kids menu when I clearly was saying I need to find something that my toddler could also eat... It was a little last minute (especially for a picturesque Sunday) but Fares took great care in accommodating a 7 person party with no sweat off his back! We hosted a wedding at Liberty House this past weekend. It is a perfect place to have a wedding with great views, terrific service, attentive and professional staff, and sizable wedding room. I withheld giving it 5 stars because my husband slammed into an unmarked plate glass window by the front door nearly knocking himself unconscious and getting a giant knot on his head and a cut nose (his glasses squashed on his face), plus a very bruised knee. After I administered bags of ice and checked on his well being, I questioned a staff member why the giant window has no sticker or sign on it to keep people from running through it. She responded "Oh, people run into it ALL THE TIME! One woman CRACKED the glass!" When I asked why the manager did not fix the problem, she replied, "We usually put a chair in front of it, but it keeps getting moved. He knows about the problem but doesn't listen." Seriously? I will check back to see if the problem is dealt with before someone damages themselves more seriously than my husband. read more
