My wife, son, and I went there last night the annual fundraiser for Friendship House which runs a day program for autistic adults. We been there several times and have never been disappointed. The venue is huge and is beautifully decorated. Very impressive. Their buffet appetizer was simply very good with a very large selection including offerings brought by our table. There were at least 350-400 people there last night and the sit down dinner was also overall very good. My wife had the chicken franchise, son the beef, and had the salmon. All portions were large. The salmon was a bit dry but good. I realize that can happen when ur feeding 400+ people at the same time. Justin our waiter did a great job and was very focused on doing his best to serve us. I would recommend The Venetian to anyone looking to hold an event. I've been there repeatedly and never left disappointed. read more

Attended a wedding on Sunday and OMG! I was here over a decade ago and the place has kicked it up. From the valet to the greeting inside to guide you where you need to go, they are just so polite and professional. The decor is captivating and subtle at the same time. Now the cocktail hour. Let me tell you. DO NOT eat anything. You will have everything you need and more. My 10yr old was so excited the have pizza for her. The ballroom was decorated like a Bridgerton dance. Breathtaking. Dinner was great but to be honest, I was so full I just took little bites. I took my filet home. The bite I took melted in my mouth. Now the Venetian hour. I was like a kid in a candy store. The food was phenomenal. The ambience was incredible. The way they cater to us with different type of food and desserts. Absolutely beautiful. I have not been here in years but recently went to an event. The staff for the most part was excellent. They were accommodating and welcoming. The decor is amazing. I loved the upscale feel without the pretentiousness. We were relaxed while enjoying the evening. Our food was fantastic. I'm advised our server of my allergies and she was great in communicating it to the kitchen and taking precautions. There was another woman at our table with allergies and our server was top notch. My job rented out a section of this venue for us. It was our bank's employee appreciation party. The staff: They were friendly and very helpful when we needed to take pictures of our colleagues. The food was great and was spread out on one side of the venue while the other side was for us to sit, eat, and dance. They had the drinks in the far back corner for us and the DJ was in the front center. Overall: This was actually a pleasant experience for our first time attending this venue. read more

I have attending so many weddings here & my experience has always been enjoyable. I attended a wedding there this past Saturday evening. I had a wonderful time, the food, drinks were great and the atmosphere was so elegant. Unfortunately, the valet staff stole something out of my car which completely ruined my experience. I had to file a police repot. So while my experience inside was good, outside leaves a little to be desired. Be mindful of the valet. :( read more

Came here for a wedding. Valet parking only . The grounds and the inside of the venue are appealing, it doesn't have that run down look that many venues in nj do. The cocktail hour had a range of stations ranging from Chinese, American, Italian. The best things I tasted were the short rib ravioli, lobster ravioli, and spicy tuna roll. The worst would be the bao buns which were too sweet, and the cheeseburgers which were over cooked. For the main event, the crab cakes were substantial but could use less mayo, the lemon sorbet was refreshing, the short rib was tender but lacked a lot of flavor. For our particular table and surrounding tables it was hard to tell if the waiter was inexperienced or just not good. He read the menu off of a handwritten paper, came back and asked guests what they're order was again and got it wrong, never came back with a majority of our drinks even after asking over again, but the worse thing was not everyone at our table got our mains. It came to a point that everyone was almost finished and a guest never got their food, we had 3 people flag him down. Service was, it could just be him, horrendous. Beautiful venue spot with tons of rooms for different parts of the event, clean bathrooms, and tons of lovely areas outside for taking photos. I attended a beautiful wedding at this venue and I was amazed by the area. There are tons of parking available, both valet and not. There's also lots of rooms inside. We went from one room of having breakfast and waiting for the ceremony to another room where the actual ceremony was held. Then everyone went to the grand ballroom for the actual reception, which had a door leading to outside that had a waterfall type of sculpture along with nice seats. There was also lots of space on the dance floor! As for the food, everything was amazing. The event that I attended early in the day and so the breakfast served in the morning consisted of delicious pastries. The cocktail hour had a huge assortment of different foods ranging from fried calamari, paella, pastas, raw seafoods and even sushi. The options were endless and the flavors were great. There was a set menu for the reception but every item was delicious as well. Overall, this is a beautiful spot to hold an event. The only con was that the ceremony was in a pretty tight room but that could have been how the hosts wanted it. read more

If I had to describe The Venetian in one word it would definitely be elegant. As soon as you step inside you feel like you're transformed into a beautiful different era decorated to the nines. Any event I've ever been to here has also been ran incredibly smoothly. From the valet to the servers everything is always on point. I've never been here for a wedding but I can imagine it's spectacular. The huge floral arrangements in the hallway, the way the halls are decorated, it just feels rich and elegant. The food is also always delicious. They go above and beyond for their cocktail hour. It's always a home run. Fresh and delicious and with so many options. I had recently visited the Venetian for a tour for to check out the venue for my wedding ceremony and reception. I had a couple of tours scheduled and this was my first one. They have a covered awning at the main entrance which is great especially if there is inclement weather. And they have a large parking lot. Upon entry, you enter the foyer and its so spacious and beautiful. There is a stunning vased flower display in the center and definitely a place where I saw guests taking pictures. We waited while waiting for their event coordinator to begin our tour and just quicked wandered the foyer area. There was a giant staircase and a lovely indoor fountain. We were shortly welcomed by Elizabeth and begun our tour. She showed us around the foyer and asked what our plans are, how many people we were expecting, and when we were looking to host the party. We started our tour downstairs and she showed us the cocktail hour room. It was a spacious room in which a variety of stations would be available and some passed appetizers as well. There was also a nice outdoor space that would be available but it was raining that day and didn't get to look outside. We then walked across the hall to the ballroom. They have 2 ballrooms--and can host 2 parties at once. We had viewed the smaller of the 2 ballrooms. It was a spacious room and had a big dancefloor--which was a plus! There was a nice staircase for the wedding party entrance which I really liked. We also saw they had some uplighting that Elizabeth had showed us as well and the variety of colors that they could be based on our color scheme which was nice to see. I also LOVED the beautiful crystal chandeliers. We had then went upstairs and saw the ceremony space. The ceremony space was a beautiful white room and had rows of chairs for the guests-- I had envisioned soo many ways to decorate that room. We then also saw a nice holding room and the groom and bridal suites. Elizabeth had then brought us to the office and showed us their event package that showed menus and explained the costs. She was very thorough with explaining everything. After our visit we took a quick visit to the garden in the front and there was another beautiful fountain and gazebo which are perfect for wedding photos. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and thought the Venetian was a beautiful venue. Elizabeth was wonderful and was able to answer our questions while we were there. read more

My school rented out the whole venue last night for my graduation ceremony. So glad it gave me an opportunity to come here! The graduation ceremony was in the Palazzo and the buffet-style dinner that followed was in the Grand Ballroom. The Venetian was such a beautiful and classy venue. The Italian marble, high ceilings, intricate chandeliers, gorgeous floral arrangements, and the lovely fountain make for beautiful aesthetics and amazing photo opportunities. The venue was very clean and the staff was SUPER efficient during the buffet-style dinner accommodating hundreds of people. During the buffet, I saw employees constantly monitoring the buffet lines and talking into walkie-talkies saying which lines needed more of what food, so I never saw one tray completely empty. The wait staff was very quick to refill water glasses too. SPEAKING OF FOOD, THE FOOD HERE IS GREAT! Usually I don't expect banquet hall catering to be all that good since it's cooked in such large quantities, but guys...the food here is DELICIOUS. The steak and turkey at the carving station were better than any meat I've had at a venue carving station - they weren't dry at all! The seafood paella, chicken francaise, beef short rib ravioli, and stuffed mushrooms were all so amazing. And the fried calamari wasn't chewy! Oh man, I could talk about the food here all day. Overall, I had a great experience here, and not just because it was my graduation night! The Venetian is such a memorable venue and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to have an event. read more

This place is absolutely beautiful! Attended a wedding reception here back in June and had a blast! Upon arrival, you're in awe of the beautiful flowers, art, and scenery in the hallway. Prior to entering the pre-reception area, you're placed in a cozy waiting area. Afterwards, you're guided into the buffet style dining room. Champagne and various drinks are provided to you by the staff at your leisure. The staff does a tremendous job at assuring that your drink is swiftly refilled and your plate is collected. Valet was running pretty well with double land and an army of gentleman waiting to take your car 2. Entrance was well light outside and the awning may have been heat lamps because I noticed I didn't need my coat to walk in the property and I was there in the dead of winter 3. Coat check was tight at door although I didn't need it ... that allows you to immediate check cost and walk the red carpet without the weight of your coat 4. Reception space was so comfortable to move around and the food stations were nicely situated 5. The architecture of the space is so breathtaking and the food is a delish 6. I've been enjoying events at this lavish, spectacular, Palace of Versailles-ish banquet hall in the heart of the crappy end of Garfield for many years and I'm still in awe when I arrive. Amazing what an oasis this place is amongst all the industrial and commercial buildings surrounding it. Once you're inside, it's like you're in a cocoon - the outside parlor has even been carefully thought out so that there is absolutely zero view of the crap around you outside. Extremely well done! The food - amazing! From cocktails through dessert, details always appreciated - from the care of their cuisine to their fanfare and decorative touches. I must admit that I tried a bit of different items and then just kept attacking the sushi table. The rolls were good...spicy tuna, California, salmon and eel. The sashimi was amazing. Tuna, white tuna and salmon which just melted in your mouth...delicious! Who needs dinner. After a few hours of appys, we were seated in a beautiful room with spectacular chandeliers. We had to postpone our wedding from last year and finally got married here last week!!!! I have heard terrible stories about people postponing but they were AMAZING moving us to a new date with no hassle at all. This place is the best!!!!!! We got married in the big ballroom and it was simply magical. The room itself blows people away. The staff are professionals to say the least at this. Everything ran so smoothly and we were literally treated like royalty. Phillipe our Maitre D was amazing and my bridal attendant Agnus was great - so helpful always asking us what we needed/wanted. I can go on and on how amazing this place is. Highly HIGHLY recommend getting married here. Celebrated my daughters college graduation in the Ritz room. It was originally June 2020 it was unfortunate due to COVID I have to postpone it several times. While some people were celebrating we were still worried about congregating, I was so happy that The Venetian accommodated our wishes, customer service was excellent. I was at a very large event here. It was an open bar and there was amazing appetizer foods. I loved the eggplant rollatini, calamari, cocktail shrimp, sushi, shrimp scampi, dim sum, and scallops. For catering, the food was above average. We did not know that there was even a more formal dinner to follow, so we ate too much in the beginning. The salad dressing was super salty. But, at least the main dishes were warm. The atmosphere is over the top, but that is why people book this location. The dance floor was packed and there were video cameras projecting onto multiple screens. I had fun! read more

Whenever I go to an event it's always the same typical frozen quality food that gives me a stomach ache and the vegetarian options usually consist of over microwaved veggies... not this place !
