**Long review, but if you were like me and have never boarded before, this will help you!**…read more In the 2 years of having our baby Marlin we have never had to have him boarded. We wanted to take a trip for a few days to New Orleans, and Bed & Biscuit was highly recommended. I emailed and was told there was an application process and I had to submit an application and then have Marlin sent for an evaluation day to make sure that he would be a good fit. I was so happy they did such a throughout application process. To some it may seem excessive but it means they actually care. He does not have much socializing as we live in the country and there aren't dogs that he sees on a regular basis. We have taken him to some dog parks but let's be honest some owners don't watch their dogs and so we tend to not take him often. We have taken him to the botanical gardens on their dog nights and he did well. He passed his evaluation and was able to be boarded for a few nights. They were nice enough to show us the grounds and explain in detail (Thanks Ms. Allison) everything that Marlin would experience while at camp! They said I could check in as often as I wanted to and that he would be taken care of. We dropped our sweet boy off and it broke my Mom heart, but I also knew, that he would be SO loved while we were away. Boy was I right. The first night of our trip, I sent an email to see how he was doing. I did not want them to think I did not trust them, but I also wanted to see how he was since this was his first time away from home and also socializing with others as well as us being so far from home. He was doing great. I was so happy. I picked him up and I could tell that he was happy to see me but then he was sad to leave. I was shown pictures of him on the trampoline and oh my goodness, I could tell that he had a blast and that we found our second home. He has been tired all day. I see that as a good sign that he had too much fun at camp. My husband and I have already talked about taking him for day care every month, at least a time or two so that he can keep the socializing up! Oh and all of the details that other places don't even think to do, I mean he came home with his first ever report card!! How cute was that? They really truly love what they do, and it shows. THANK YOU to the entire staff for taking such good care of our baby. We are SO happy to have found you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for caring for Marlin just like you would your dog. We are already looking at dates for Marlin to enjoy camp again. Thank you!!!

I love that he's in the open area with other pups while waiting and not in a kennel. I think this helps with the anxiety of getting randomly dropped off. He also came home with an adorable bandana. The groomers at Pet Starz have done a great job, but the organization/reception is the worst. We…read morefinally left this groomer for good after our dogs shot records were lost, I get asked every time I come, "Have you been here before?", or "We don't have an apt for you today," after apt was confirmed over phone 2x. The last time we got an apology that said the handwriting "toy poodle" was mistaken for "Tuesday". We were asked to come back Tuesday after driving in. I would recommend putting appointments on the day they are scheduled or offering online scheduling that can be viewed but the owner/customer alike. Way too much stress! No time for it!

I called recently for a rehire and learned that I would not only need to reprint her materials but was treated in a grossly rude manner when I stated that I didn't have the ability to print something from home at the moment. She offered alternatives disdainfully, and actually had the gall to ask me if I could have my mother print it out for me (I am a 40 year old professional). This is after her original exhaustive procedure for beginning service during which I was told "customers call me and we take care of them when they are already out of town." I guess they left without calling previously but remembered to print out paperwork. Anyway, she was ugly enough for me to want to write this review. I'd worry about my animals in the care of someone that doesn't want to keep their customers.

Today was our last visit with Ambassador. Very unprofessional! We have been bringing our dog here…read moresince we first got our puppy over a year ago, and until now we were mostly happy with the care, aside from a few minor issues. That changed today. The staff was extremely rude and condescending in the way they spoke to us. We were barely able to ask questions about our dog or discuss the concerns we had without being belittled by comments that were made. We were made to feel like an inconvenience simply for being there. To make matters worse, the front desk staff was also very unprofessional. When we asked for an itemized bill, the receptionist scoffed and read the charges aloud instead of printing it as requested. Overall, the experience was disappointing and uncomfortable. Based on how we were treated during this visit, I would not recommend taking your pets here.

I have boarded my dogs at the mutt motel several times and have been very happy with the service…read morethey provide! They are very well versed with many different breeds. It can be hard for me to find a boarding facility willing to take on my GSDs yet they gladly accept them every time! I have also used the mutt motel's board and train service that they offer, on two different occasions, and was extremely happy with the results!
