Just left Liberty Motorsports super disappointed. We called ahead to see if they had paddles in stock which they did. They said they included mounting so we headed their way. After paying $350 for 2 paddles we took them to service only for service to say they wouldn't install them today. Instead they referred us to Essaray Powersports which was scheduled to close 30 minutes ahead of Liberty. We ended up paying Essaray $40 to mount the tires. They actually apologized for our bad service at their competitor. With an hour and a half left before Liberty closed it was obvious they just didn't want to be bothered. read more

I was one of the many customers that felt in welcomed or screwed over by Liberty for years but just in a whim I went in to look at a Sport Bike with my husband. Jason was very polite and didn't circle me like a salesman buzzard. He asked me what brand I stick too (didn't treat me like an uneducated female) and when discussing details he spoke to me, not my husband. When I finally came to my decision on my 2023 Yamaha MT-07 he got me taken care of and went as far as to keep communication the next day when I came back in for paperwork. My first impression would be not to go back. I went in to look at helmets and ask about service for my vintage Yamaha. About a 1/2 hour later, as I was standing at the parts counter a women asked if I'd been helped. " No" I replied. Then she said "Someone will be with you in a moment". But about 10 more minutes went by. When I finally got the chance to talk to someone and gather info about stuff, they were a little standoffish. I got the impression they don't want to touch my bike. I spent $60.00 on oil and additives. I could have gone to AutoZone and saved a bunch. I then went to another shop. They were friendly and informative. I think I'll go there and spend my money, and, it's gonna take a lot. read more

I have a 2007 Yamaha Grizzly that had two separate issues. 1) The atv would go a few feet and lock up which ended up being a brake problem. My second issue was that there was a load clicking noise coming from the differential area. When I went to go pick up the 4 wheeler, after paying close to $800 to have it fixed, and them having it for two weeks, I tried it out in the parking lot. I soon found out that the clicking noise was not fixed. Prior to that, I brought my husband with me to pick up the atv. We asked a guy in the parts department about a warranty, and he said he didn't have an idea. We asked about if there was a 30 day warranty and his response was that he couldn't guarantee 30 days because we could put 4,000 miles on it (in a very arrogant and disrespectful way). When I found out that only one problem was fixed, just prior to loading up the vehicle, I wanted to speak with the manager. A nice lady was able to get me the manager for the service area. I waited outside with my husband. When I went to go let them know where we would be, the manager pulled up and asked the arrogant guy if he needed "some help". The manager was just as rude and anti customer service as the arrogant guy. The manager told us that they couldn't fix the clicking noise when we brought it in because the vehicle was not running. By the way, they said one of the problems was that we had a broken axle. Which is so not true because we replaced both rear axles two days prior to bringing it in. Anyway, the manager was rude and wanted to make excuses as to why it was not addressed and then wanted to act like he could not hear it. My husband complained about the price for a $10 bolt and the manager explained to my husband that at least it wasn't for aircraft because it would have costed 10x's that price. After my husband explained that he would like for them to jack up the four wheeler to see if the problem could be heard, they did, only to find out that the rear brake that they replaced was not properly installed by there own people! Once the brake was fixed, and the four wheeler was lowered, and drove it straight the noise could be heard. The only people interested in actually fixing the noise problem was the mechanic and a guy who's job was picking up parts. When the parts guy and mechanic said they heard the noise, the manager barked at the parts guy to "GET IN THE OFFICE"! The manager said that the noise could be coming from anywhere and that they could not warranty the whole vehicle..... We have 2,000 miles on the four wheeler. The manager spoke to us as if we were an inconvenience and not interested in solving the issue. I am glad my husband was with me. I feel that if he was not with me that I would have been treated worse than it was. Not to mention that the level of unprofessionalism was off the charts.....I will be taking our vehicle and future service elsewhere and I highly suggest that those reading this do the same. Honestly 1 star is to much. My vehicle has been there for 77 days. Why? Here are the bigger issues: My assistant has over 20 hours of phones call, emails eyc. Excuse after excuse. Call them & see their mail boxes are full. No communication. Finally when we got it figured out, they gave the timeline. I planned an entire trip based on their timeline. Called 10 days out, 5 days out & everyday up until departure. We got an email the night before with yet another excuse. Ruined our weekend, no loaners, no brainstorm , no solution, no rental. Barely an apology. How are they in business? Because they are the only show in town ? Only one that loses... my family. They should just sell vehicles. I could have brought my rzr back to SD & I would have had it back in 10 days. Take your stuff to el central or tow it back to SD. Lessons learned. read more

I do not do reviews as a rule. I am hoping that this review is read by the owners. I realize that low inventories have changed the sales process but I had put a deposit on a Polaris Crew that was in stock and I wanted to add some options but the price kept changing and my sales person confused the order and she did not want to work with me on a few simple options....she wanted me to call the parts department. I spent a few hours trying to get things straight with her. Prices kept changing and she asked me to call the Sales Manager. He told me after I explained my situation in less than 60 seconds, that he would refund my deposit. So I wasted a good deal of my time trying to buy from Liberty. I was talking to my neighbor about his Can Am and he told me that his dealings with Liberty were very similar to mine. His deposit was returned after spending a good deal of his time ordering an off road vehicle. He bought from a competitor and so did I. read more

I brought my dirt bike front wheel in to have the tube replaced. Liberty charged me $91. Tube was $20 labor $70. Liberty never called me to let me know it was ready. When I got there they could not find the paperwork. Service sent me to parts. Parts sent me to service back and forth several times. I will not give Liberty my business any longer. Do not buy the VIP maintenance package. They will tell you it's faster and better that you'll be put in front of the line. What they don't tell you is when you use it there's always so many other people in front of you with the same service. So it still takes at least a week to get your car back. Complete waste of money. It takes at least a day or two for them to pick up your car. The car will sit there another two days before they start the service. Takes a full day to do the service. Then another day or two for them to deliver your car back. It's total BS!!! I decided to drop it off my self to save time and my car still been sitting there for going on three days and they still haven't even started the service yet. WTF!!! SHM!!! The VIP maintenance package is a complete scam...This place sucks!!! read more

Six weeks to get a part that should be in stock , that's if it arrives on time. Nothing but lies from service to management can't stock parts as it will disrupt service. I contacted Liberty Motorsports to inquire if they could do the service needed on my 2020 Can Am Spyder, i.e. oil/filter change, overall fluids and safety checks. Ben, in Service was very helpful and gave me an estimate on time and cost for this service. He was extremely responsive to the timeline I was under due to a PGR Mission and an anticipated 500 mile round trip for the following week. To my utter amazement, I received a call from Ben to tell me the work had been completed and I could pick my ride up the following day! Upon returning to Liberty, Ben was also kind enough to show me where I needed to put coolant in, and the ratio, etc. Was the cost a little daunting? Yes, but I am incredibly grateful that Liberty was able to work with my timeline and provide me with the reassurance that my ride should get me safely to and from. I cannot express my gratitude enough. So many thanks to Ben and the Team at Liberty!!! I will bring my ride here from now on!!! read more

I have been using Liberty Motorsports for almost 3 years and have nothing but bad experiences with them. Originally I had gone to them for a Top end which became a bottom end issue as well, I proceeded with all repairs as anyone would. Lee was more than fair on the price and everything seemed OK. During the course of the repairs I was not updated on the status and had to repeatedly call and ask what was the time frame, again Lee was always helpful but we still were not getting anywhere. After a couple months my ski was returned and appeared to be running OK and this is where a vast amount of problems begins. Liberty forgot to attach a seal where my tail shaft connects and water leaked all into the inside of my ski and caused the top end of the motor to have a problem and had to subsequently be replaced, I had to fight for them to do this and it took another 2-3 weeks before I got my ski all the while I was calling and calling asking for status updates and nothing from them. I finally get my ski back and go to lake test it and realize that the fuel lines were not properly attached and I attached them myself but I was little upset because I had spent almost $3000 on all my repairs. I also want to mention during the course of my repairs Liberty managed to leave my ski uncovered and OUTSIDE even though I sent it in with a cover, this was apparent due to the amount of bird feces and other various layers of dust. I finally get to ride my ski and I and my guests are happy campers, at this point I am pleased that my ski is finally working but very very upset at liberty motorsports for the way I was treated and the lack of care put into my ski's repair and lack of attention to the care of my ski (I am not the first person to complain about how they store our toys). About a year later I had a problem not related to any repairs that Liberty Motorsports had done so I took it back and they diagnosed it to be a computer issue, I authorized the repairs and sat around for weeks waiting on a phone call, same problem as before and this time I asked to speak to the owner and every effort I made I was told there was no way to speak to the owner I had to deal with Lee which did not make me as a small business owner happy because at this point I feel the owner is disconnected with his own business. After almost 3 weeks I get my ski back and it runs for 5 minutes and shuts off, I call liberty and they take it back no questions asked and it takes atleast a week to diagnose this problem and it turns out the part they put in is faulty, not a big deal things happen. I wait around for OVER a month while waiting on a replacement and it finally comes in they agree to drop my ski off, this time it gets dropped off and there is hull damage and it is completely covered in black much from wherever they stored it in addition to breaking my temperature sensor located on the top of my motor. I cannot even begin to explain the miserable experience and time I have invested at this point, Lee agrees to take the ski back and assures me they have a body shop that will repair it to like new condition. Another 2-3 weeks passes with many calls to liberty motorsports, I even had them complete another repair just to help them recoup some of there losses on the paint etc. I finally received my ski and it ran for 10 minutes and stopped working again in addition to the hull repairs that looks like someone put nail polish on them, out of sheer frustration at the entire situation I took a week to digest everything than called liberty motorsports and let them know I would not be paying for this repair and I am almost considering talking to my credit card about some of the other repairs that I have had them do and have turned out to be faulty. As of today they have erroneously charged my credit card $549.45 for a Charge I did not authorize and when I have asked them if they have my credit card on file they decline and tell me they do not store credit card numbers however seeing this charge appear on my credit card statement I now believe I have been lied to, the repairs are mis-represented and my jet ski is in worse shape than when I originally brought it to them. I am forced to find a new shop and pay them to fix all the damage caused by Liberty motorsports. I have left out a lot of the additional little problems and vast amount of time I have spent drive to and from there location to drop my ski off which LIBERTY had inflicted damage on. read more

These guys really made my (aweful) day (fantastic). Allow me to 'splain; dragged my ski out from San Diego and put it in the water. Within 10 minutes, it was getting choked out (exhaust leak in the engine compartment). Danggit! Pulled it out and hauled it into Liberty about 10 minutes before closing. They began looking at it first thing in the morning. My buddy and I sat in Cesar's Cigar Lounge just down the street (life saver!) to await the diagnosis. I was really pressing them to get my ski back asap because I only had a couple days for my trip and didn't care to spend it riding on the back of my buddies ski... They got it to me by about 2:00 and we hit the river. Oh,oh. It lasted about 10 minutes. Not very happy at this point, as you can imagine. However, this isn't what got them the 5 star rating. It's what they did next... So, hauled it back and dropped it at the front door first thing the next morning. The reason I dropped it is because I then had to have my truck towed as it crapped out in their parking lot (yeah, really fun trip, huh?). So, I told the guys this and they got to work. Turns out that there was sand in the box of the ski, causing it to overheat and melt the exhaust hoses. They hadn't properly diagnosed what the problem was the day before, but remember, it was because I was pressuring them to get me out on the river. They worked on it for about 6 more hours, to make sure that everything was running properly. It was/is. When I asked them for the bill, they gave it to me at no charge. To be fair, yes, they should have diagnosed it properly the first time (as some of you are invariably saying at home right now), but you really have to understand that I was pestering them literally every hour to get it back to me (note to self about that...). I really think they were trying to be accommodating on that front, and they stuck it in the tank and ran it, but it didn't exhibit any further problems, so they figured the issue was resolved. I fully expected to pay them for the time they spent on it the second day, and was very appreciative that they didn't charge me anything. Very stand-up. Oh, and it turned out to be something very minor with the truck as well, so it wasn't a complete waste of a trip, but it was essentially two days without river time. read more

Service dept is a complete joke.. especially when it comes to scheduling. I'm in town with my ONLY mode of transportation. I go to the service desk and tried to schedule a spark plug change and valve check on a 1200cc BMW (cylinders are right there in your face). I was told "drop it off Tues, we'll get it back by Thursday"... I said "how bout you schedule me at 0800 Wednesday, throw it on the lift at 0805, do the work, and when your done I can drive home." Nope, sorry, only scheduling tire service right now, no idea when the mechanic will get to it.." That's not scheduling.. that's guessing.. if your a real motorcyclist and only have your bike as a mode of transportation, dont even consider this place. But I'm sure they're qualified to change a tire like the other 5 places in town.. Taking my $25k motorcycle back to Performance Motorsports, where I was happy with their service and knowledge.. read more

Had my rzr in for broken transmission. Got it all approved through warranty. When I drove it out of shop the rear cv joint was torn when they put it back together. Called and let then know and they told me that it would take a week to fix because they were busy. I bought the part and had the arm taken off. Went over there to have them just use a special tool that they have to put on the boot that takes 2 minutes. They said that they were to busy, that they could not do it till this afternoon. They broke it but it was to much of a hassle to take 2 minutes to put a boot on. I will never bring anything here again. Performance Motorsports took care of it for me in 5 minutes. What a difference in customer service. Will bring all my toys here. Liberty has a bad rep and now I know why. read more

Took 3 weeks to get an estimate for my rzr and another 4 weeks to repair it. After getting my rzr back i nearly rolled it because they did not tighten the bolts on the a-arm right and they popped off. Then the rep javier argued with me that they never removed the a-arms even though they replaced my entire front frame. Later i asked if they could install two 5 point harnesses on my rzr and they ended up charging the insurance company over $500 for it. After asking Javier why they had charged me for the installation when i was under the impression that it would be complimentary due to that bad service, he told me "don't worry about it, it's not your money anyways". read more

On June 27th 2012, we brought our Seadoo boat to this shop because the DESS was acting weird. After removing the key, it would start without the key & think the key was still connected unless we shut off the battery. Liberty Motorsports said they ran diagnostic test, and it showed no faults, & tested the lanyard & post. They charged us $75 to tell us nothing that could help solve the problem. When we drove around back to pick up the boat we found they had damaged the front hard wheel on the trailer...so now it's flat in a spot & won't roll. BUT what pisses me off the most is that we drove it 4 hours out to a place in CA to have it checked a few days later & it turned out to be the DESS post according to the same type of diagnostic tests...the part that Liberty Motorsports told me was fine! The place in CA put in a new DESS post & it's been working perfectly ever since. So unless you want to pay this place $$ for absolutely nothing, or damage to your watercraft or trailer, I suggest you DON'T GO HERE!! read more

Highest priced ATV Service in town, I paid $350.00 to have turn signals and a horn, and I provided the switch, horn, and turn, signal relay. All they did was run the wire and provide two lights for the rear turn signals And they said it took 4-hours to do that. read more
