Two weeks ago I was traveling and had a flat halfway between Blythe and Phoenix. After waiting 4.5 hours to get a tow to Quartzite, a night in a hotel, and an 80 mile tow to the dealer the next day (NOT related) my patience was understandably a bit thin. Finally unloaded my bike around 10-11am Saturday morning for a rear tire change. I called in advance, they confirmed they had a tire, and would have everything ready when I arrived. They did tell me that it's 'first come first serve' on Saturday. Ugh...typically a sign of pending doom. When we got there 3-4 guys came right out to help unload the bike and as promised all the paperwork was waiting. The downside was the 'first come first serve' especially when you're on the road. It seems that dealers have different takes on how to handle in-transit travelers. I understand why they do it, but given others will give you priority it is still frustrating that I had to wait 4.5 hours for a tire change to get back on the road. Everyone from the tech writers to the mechanic and even the sales staff were excellent in answering questions and making sure we were comfortable while waiting, and frankly can't speak highly enough about the personnel. I've been to the dealer in the past for long weekends in the area, but Yuma was not our destination that trip (Phoenix) and have never had any complaints. I'm knocking off a star only for the wait but otherwise I'd be happy to visit the dealer again (and I'm sure I will). Thanks for the great service guys! read more

I had the misfortune of breaking down 35 miles north of Yuma, AZ with an electrical fault that I simply didn't have the tools to diagnose & fix at the side of the road. If you've ever been in southern Arizona at the end of August (hell, any time in August) it is indescribably hot. I lost all ignition spark at 3:30 in the middle of the desert, at 111 I managed to get a tow back into Yuma & while I was waiting, called Billy's to explain my situation. I'd only had dealings with 1 other Harley dealership before this (they told me to pound sand, after I had my carb in pieces in their parking lot. Las Vegas HD on the strip. Screw 'em) so my hopes were low. They knew it would be after hours by the time I arrived, so they told me where to leave the bike, for best security & assured me that they'd be happy to help the next morning. They met me at the door, 15 minutes before opening time & Clinton, the service manager, & the tech (who's name, i'm incredibly ashamed to say, I've forgotten) explained that they had a couple of pre-booked jobs & that they'd get right on it after that. I told them that I'd traced all the wiring from the ignition module up to the coil & on to the ignition switch, but going further would require stuff that I just hadn't brought along. I suspected that either the coil had vibrated to pieces, or I'd blown the module itself (I had mentioned this during the previous call & Clinton had already rooted through their parts & found a Crane ignition, just in case) While I waited, I sat in the beautifully cool & well stocked store/showroom ogling new bikes, drinking the complimentary coffee & iced water & listening to their salesman arranging a test ride & eventual sale to another couple. The sales dude was very helpful, not at all pushy & I believe the couple ended up buying the bike! Congratulations to them, I say (and if you're reading this, I was the disheveled looking, bearded hermit sat in the corner) About 2, maybe 2 1/2 hours later, Clinton came through & showed me a photo of a bare wiring joint.... one of my wiring joints. Riding the rough desert back roads from Nevada, into California & across to Arizona had seemingly worn through the heatshrink & was causing a short. The guys replaced & extended the harness (coming from the kill switch in the right hand cluster) & the ol' gal fired right up. A 5 mile test ride was completed & the bike was pronounced as good as gold! To cap it all, I was literally only charged for 1 1/2 hour's labor. Bear in mind, I was prepared to pay whatever they asked for the Crane module, or even overnight another Dynatek & coil from Summit; I was expecting to pay somewhere around $800 to a grand to get going again & I would've been happy to do so! I even called The Wife & had her transfer money from our savings to my account to cover it. Nope. $174.98 I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I genuinely m read more

We are transplants from California. So far, all of our experiences in Arizona (Yuma area) have been very pleasant. This place was no exception. We brought our wheel in that had cracked. It was a wheel from our Ford Excursion. The owner turned out to be the welder. He immediately went to our car to extract the wheel and said he would have it done by the next day, which he did. I dropped off my bike for repairs on April 3, 2021. Its May 4, and they are still waiting on parts. They say there is nothing they can do to expedite the parts order, and there's nothing they can do to get me back on 2 wheels sooner; so no loaners, no test rides, or no rentals. This is frustrating. Very disappointed in their lack of communication. They had an event on their website since March and up until the week of the event. We booked rooms and drove 300 miles to get there only to find out there was NO event and they never bothered to post it on their events page. We won't be going back. read more

We had what we thought was a leaky tire that we had taken to Discount Tire (another Yelp review), but it turned out to be a broken weld on a wheel. The man at Discount Tire recommended that I take the wheel here and that there was a guy that was a really experienced welder and that he could probably fix it (I believe he is the owner). We went to the service desk and were greeted by a nice young man that took down our information. The other gentleman heard us and immediately asked if he could get the wheel out of the back and have a look. He noticed the broken weld and quoted us a reasonable price to fix it. They called the next day and let us know that the wheel was ready to be picked up. The charges were exactly what we were quoted. We had the tire remounted at Discount Tire and were on the road again. It was a very pleasant experience and both the gentlemen that we dealt with were really nice and professional. We would definitely do business with them again. read more

Tried to get a test ride on a trike was informed didn't want to put any miles on their existing inventory. Have owned Harley's for 15 years and need to move to a trike. On our recent visit to Yuma, we decided to stop by the local dealership because that's what we do when we come across one we haven't been to. As I walked in with my family, there was a man at the front counter, some staff in the offices behind the bikes and a young lady in merchandise busy chasing a little girl, obviously tending to personal business and not Harley business. By this time I had made it to the back of the store with not one person making eye contact with me. When the girl in merchandise was done tending to her friend or family member, she still didn't acknowledge us until she noticed my son pick up a helmet. She then told him that if he broke it, she wouldn't be able to sell it. Wow. At our San Diego dealership, when you walk into the store, you are immediately greeted and treated like a member of the Harley family. What a difference in Yuma. Very disappointed. read more

In my experience with Harley Dealers, they can often be very pushy and overwhelming when first walking into a store. This was not the case at Bobby's. we were greeted, asked if we needed assistance with anything and then left to our shopping. The store is full sized, not an outpost "motor clothes only" with bikes, parts, clothes, and paraphernalia. Not the best H-D store I've visited but certainly not the worst. Just had some work done here on my bike while in the area based on a recommendation. These are honest guys who really know how to work on HD. I have had some bad experiences with other HD service departments , so this was a breath of fresh air. The owner Bobby is right there in the shop all day working on bikes with the crew, not owned by some absentee owner. Adrian is fantastic and takes the time to answer all your questions. The retail shop and bike showroom is really nice. I would highly recommend this shop. I would drive 300 miles or more without a second thought to have these guys touch my bike if your locals leave you frustrated. Two thumbs up, if I had three hands.....they would get 3 thumbs!!! read more

I am passing thru needed something fixed the service department didn't know when their mechanic would be In on Monday so instead of calling the mechanic for a time and calling me back he denied me service. What a joke. If they can't even schedule a service they probably do a really crap job on your bike. read more
