As of April 4th, 2026 Liberty Music has 22 Yelp reviews, of which 18% are 1 star reviews and all others are 5 star reviews of which at least one 5 star review is an employee of Liberty Music (Sales Manager Trevor). This is not slanderous, its fact. All 1 star reviews report similar bad experience which includes mine. My experience involved a Reverb listing of an ultra rare guitar which Liberty Music redirected me for off-site payment vs within Reverb (a reverb violation). They never shipped or delivered the guitar claiming they lost it in inventory and never informed me till I asked for tracking number after several days passed after payment. 18 days after purchase and allowing them to "look for the guitar" I requested a refund which required 11 days and a PayPal ruling in my favor to claw back. Also as of today April 4th, 2026, Liberty Music has 828 Google reviews, mostly 5 stars but an couple 1-2 star reviews which I missed and they proudly pointed out to me . Given my experience, it feels unlikely and suspicious given the commonality of the bad reviews but if truly such a high rated seller congratulations and I look forward to never doing business with your high level of service again. BTW, I edited this review after only several hours of posting this review. The Liberty Music sales person rapid fired me 13 snarky SMS messages followed up by a 'so-called' legal team member voicemail in dislike of my review. All superficial edits and viewed by me as intimidation tactics. Make your own judgement folks. Good luck. Editing this review again. Less than 3 hours after adjusting my review to precisely satisfy their strong arming "so-called legal team", I get this next round of SMS messages from the sales manager shown in the attached photo. Apparently they disgust my disinterest in their $200 store credit to ease my review. How about these messages....professional? customer centric? To me this is becoming harassment. I took my Fender Acoustasonic to Liberty Music for repair. Unfortunately, Fender had quality issues with their original 2018 versions. The PCBs that control the switching for the electronics were known to go bad. Fender apparently had to source the boards from a new manufacturer and that took a while. No worries. The team at Liberty everything they could to expedite, but it was out of everyone's control except Fender. Once the part came in, Ed had it back together and did a complete setup, polished the frets, adjusted the neck, and installed new strings the next day. The price was right too! Kudos to Ed and thank you! This guitar plays better than it did the day I purchased it. Despite taking longer than expected, I'm still giving Liberty 5 stars because of its customer focus and dedication to excellence. They truly Rock!! read more

Liberty Music is located in an unlikely location. It is located in a complex that is more about housing commercial businesses like construction companies and the such. You would probably never know this place existed unless you are specifically seeking it out or if you stumble across it. In my case, I stumbled across it. Even being in this complex, I probably would not have noticed it unless I was specifically looking for the business a few doors away from it. Anyway, walking inside, the place is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. It is predominantly guitars and they have a great selection. The staff is friendly and professional and they're obviously passionate about what they do. This is a new business and if you are a fan of musical instruments, you should definitely check them out. I am giving them five stars and I definitely recommend here. read more

I found Liberty Music to practice unscrupulous business practices including non delivery of custom ordered instruments and baiting customers with high pressure sales tactics to purchase instruments well above their intended price points. Not to mention one of their staff members is extremely rude. Do you self a big favor and go to a good reputable music store who won't rudely hang up on you when asked about a store return or an undisclosed arbitrary 20% restocking fee. I stopped in Liberty Music not looking for anything in particular, had been several weeks since I had been in there. They had a good selection of accessories before, but today I found a greater selection than ever, and it was the first thing I stopped and looked at. I found a maintenance item that I usually buy online and now I don t have to order it! Saves me time and money. Overall it is good to have a local store with a very knowledgeable staff, and I like attention paid to their vast inventory of Taylor guitars. I was in Jacksonville for work. I live in small town with a relatively small local guitar selection. While I was in Jacksonville I figured I would test out some of the models I was interested in. After going to 2 Guitar Centers and a Sam Ash and finding nothing, I found Liberty music. This store carries a large array of guitars. the staff is very knowledgeable. They have individual practice rooms where you can sit down in a sound proof room and actually hear the guitar you are testing out. The ended up having the exact guitar I had been wanting and were able to ship it me for free so I didn't have carry it on the plane.
