Truly an Honest Review -…read more First off, The Water Heater Company fixed the issue with the pilot light on our Rheem Professional water heater, which had been going out after hours or days of use. This had happened in the past when we first purchased the unit about four years ago. At that time, I replaced the burner assembly and control valve, and the problem was solved. I never found out the exact cause, but it was fixed. Fast forward to today, and the same issue started happening again. Unfortunately, I was away on business, and my wife was home with the kids, getting tired of relighting the pilot every morning and sometimes multiple times during the day. We called The Water Heater Company, and their service and communication were excellent. After diagnosing the issue, they contacted Rheem and ordered replacement parts under warranty: the burner assembly and control valve. They gave us three options: replace the two parts under warranty, replace the entire water heater, or install a tankless water heater. Because this is a very expensive unit that otherwise works well, we chose to repair it. Here's my honest opinion. As a fellow tradesman, I understand that skilled work is expensive. Still, the labor charge of $800 felt very high for what was essentially a warranty part replacement. The first visit took about an hour, and the second visit took around 50 minutes. I understand there's drive time, phone calls, office staff, insurance, tools, and scheduling overhead, but it still seemed excessive. Maybe I'm looking at it through the eyes of someone who usually handles these kinds of repairs myself, but I was away for an extended period and needed the problem resolved. So I'm torn on the rating. Quality of work: 10/10. Professionalism: 10/10. Price: 4/10. In the end, though, I paid for peace of mind and have the issue fixed correctly than save a little money and end up with a possible poor repair.

Our gas was turned off because of a leak. This was a good thing safety wise, no doubt. But no hot water, no stove, and no clothes dryer. We came home jet lagged and with piles of laundry to discover this. We called Dave. He cleared the decks on his calendar (thank you to his other clients for their understanding) and undertook the major effort of digging up and replacing the line from the meter to the house. Among other things, such as tree roots, this involved getting under a cement slab. Dave and Bernardo and another worker managed this in two days in hot weather and at a very fair price. He spent 15 minutes with me reviewing the strategy he was going to use to best install the softener; and then answered all my questions. He really put my mind to ease. During the job, we decided to do a pressure regulator, which they discounted for me, which I really apprecaited. No more than 3-4 hours later, everything was complete! such a huge burden immediate lifted once all that was completed. The stress I was dealing with over the pipes, was immediately lifted. Such a relief. Unfortunately, I did a poor job in communicating the situation with my roses in the backyard and now my Roses in the backyard were going to be affected from my poor communication. went back to Susan and as expected, she was very helpful with me troubleshooting the situation. We ended up deciding we needed someone back out here. Connor showed up about a week after the original install. The way my entry level home was done, was tricky for getting hard water to my roses. Connor ended up coming up with a solution for a hard water bibb that they could do that would allow me to get the hard water to the roses!!! And, they did the work for free. In my moment of need, through no ones mistake but my own, they stepped up and took care of it. 100% would recommend, ive been through 3 plumbers over the past 5 years. I promptly went to yelp and and began text dialogue and in less than 1 hour he was here. Very quickly began troubleshooting to isolate source of leak and after less than 15 minutes of running back and forth from the street to the back of the house confirmed the problem could not be a sprinkler line.
