I cannot rave about Liberty enough! Liberty puzzles were my hobby during the pandemic and filled my days with activity. Even got my husband hooked. We have more than I would like to admit. The storefront is so adorable and I have never had anything but excellent service while in store. I have also ordered online 10x and have never had any problems aside from having to wait when there was a production shortage due to the pandemic. Since the opening of their larger production space there has been no further delays. Tips from an insider: the puzzles that are mostly one color or have a border of one pattern are so hard!! The puzzles that are in a small circle or a shape of an animal are the best for gift because they are easier and fun for any level. read more

I just finished the puzzle called River Dance. The colors are amazingly beautiful - however, this puzzle is really challenging. One negative comment (and only 1) is that the completed image of the puzzle is so tiny. It is squeezed on the front of the puzzle box. For a puzzle that costs this much. you'd expect a nice poster inside (as some puzzles have that cost MUCH less). And to make matters worse, the colors on that tiny image on the front of the box don't match the colors on the puzzle pieces. Especially the blue colors are very different....so frustrating!! read more

I love Liberty puzzles they are truly a piece of art! Unfortunately, visiting the store this last weekend was a big letdown. The lady working is definitely not a good fit for a puzzle shop, her personality was completely flat. She was so annoying, I'd ask a question, she'd just stare at me, plus she sat behind the counter eating a very offensive smelling sandwich. I wanted to place an order but the smell and personality had me wanting to run out of the store. I won't be going back or recommend this place. I'll try their little factory across town, hopefully that'll be a better experience. read more

These are amazing puzzles! They are made out of real wood and each piece represents an actual shape. For the Sue Coccia bear puzzle, a lot of pieces were shaped like animals themselves. For the Flat Irons puzzle, there were puzzle pieces shaped like animal and people doing Colorado type activities. The attention to detail is unreal. This is why the puzzles are so pricey. We got some glass "float" frames to put the puzzles in and had to use a dremmel tool to make the puzzles fit, but if you don't want to do that, Liberty Puzzles makes frames custom to your puzzle artwork so it fits perfectly! My husband is addicted to these puzzles. It took us 4 hours together to do the Sue Coccia bear one. He did most of the Flatirons one over one weekend whenever he had down time. The quality is unparalleled when getting these puzzles. It's a treat to have "interactive" artwork and it's surely a hobby that should make a comeback. read more

I have stopped in this shop a few times to browse the unique puzzles. I really like them but they are a bit pricey. However they are beautifully crafted wood, laser cut fanciful shapes that interlock in unusual patterns. They need to be seen and handled to really appreciate how special they are. Today, I actually bought one. I have always wondered if they were impossibly hard or surprisingly simple but they are neither. They are challenging and fun. I love puzzles for a change of pace. A finished puzzle can be a piece of art. I found that the small round style makes a nice highlight as decor on an occasional table. There are about 4 sizes of puzzles and a specialty line for children. The puzzle designs cover nature, classic art and seasonal and holiday themes. They can also design and make a custom puzzle from a customer's picture. The shop is small and simple with a friendly, informative sales person. They also have a couple of large display bowls of sample pieces to handle. The boxes for the puzzles are nicely constructed and attractive, with the traditional cover picture of the design and appropriate for the quality of the puzzle and price point. I'll probably end up with another at some point. read more

My daughter was recently introduced to Liberty Puzzles by a friend and is now obsessed with them. We had never been to the store, so we drove down from Denver to this lovely gem of a shop on the Pearl Street Mall, to purchase a Christmas gift for her friend. The shop is small-ish, but they do a good job of displaying what they have in stock. Be aware, however, if you were looking online and had a specific puzzle in mind, they will likely not have it in the store. With the size of the store, they simply cannot keep large amounts of inventory on hand, so you may have to place an order for pick up later at their factory location, or have it shipped to you. In the middle section of the store, they have a table set up with puzzles so people can try them out prior to purchase to see if they like these puzzles (which are extremely different than traditional puzzles with the standard "jigsaw" pieces). The puzzles are really great quality, have tons of "whimsy" pieces and pieces that are just plain fun to play with. They are expensive, but the quality is worth it, especially if you continue to build the puzzle and it brings you joy for a long time to come. My ONLY complaint was that the employees could have definitely been more helpful/engaged. Yes, it is the holidays and the shop was busy, but don't you expect that during December? I overheard one staff member complaining to another how stressful this was...... but the store (in my opinion) was busy, but most definitely NOT unreasonable like it will turn into during the next couple weeks. Anyway, we are looking forward to giving the puzzle gifts we purchased for Christmas and will definitely be back to Liberty Puzzles. read more

You know this place is legit when they make puzzles out of wood. Freaking. Wood. I love love love love love this shop. I take my friends here all the time because the concept is so unique (for me). The puzzle selection is pretty bomb too. Ranging from Dr. Seuss to famous artists, you have a wide variety to choose from. My friend bought a bear puzzle that had a collection of other animals that formed the picture of the bear. It was pretty beautiful. Hey, and get this. The puzzle pieces are ALL some type of picture itself. They give out one free puzzle piece. I got one that looked like a mermaid. Pretty cool, no? Warning: if you're a broke college student, broke post-college individual, just overall broke, these puzzles may not be good for your wallet. You probably won't even have a wallet by the end of your purchase. These are EXPENSIVE. I think I saw a couple of them ranging from 80-100. Be warned. Unique puzzles of quality. I couldn't walk by this store without going in. It was fairly packed with patrons sitting around side tables or at a long high table completing puzzles. When I joined in on one peacock puzzle and then felt the puzzle pieces in my hands, I was completely captivated. Each piece is made with care, out of wood, a delightfully shaped into characters or items that fit the scene they create. I also love that not all puzzles were in the usual square or rectangular format. The peacock puzzle was in the shape of the elegant bird and offered a great challenge to myself and the others working on its plumage. While there is a great variety of puzzle to purchase at hand (they got animal, art, and geography themed puzzles--and many more), their online store has even more. They release seasonal puzzles while keeping in stock the unique and popular. Also, if you're craving to turn a picture or your own artwork into a puzzle, they do customized puzzles online. Sure, the puzzles are a bit pricey (most ranging between $80 to $110), the quality by far makes them worth it. I bought my husband, and avid baseball fan, a nostalgic baseball field puzzle where several of the pieces are in the shape of baseball players. He loved it! A few weeks ago, I contacted Liberty Puzzles (headquarters) about a puzzle piece for my Dragon puzzle that I purchased in Boulder, CO. My dog decided it looked tasty and chewed it. In my email to them, I asked if they would possibly replace the one piece as I did not feel I could complete the puzzle without it. They replied and said that they would gladly send me the replacement piece when their business resumed (after Covid 19 "stay at home"). I sent them several pictures of the chewed up piece and just hoped I would receive the correct replacement...and to my absolute delight, they stayed true to their word! Their puzzles are addictive . I discovered this after doing the first puzzle which I received as a Christmas gift . It is labeled "Open Garden and Fukagawa Hachiman Shrine" . Since it was the first it proved to be a challenge and when completed I had the feeling of really , however minor , of accomplishing something . That has led to completing 10 more large and 4 smaller renderings . I am in the middle of my latest , Van Gogh's "Seascape Near Les Saintes Maries de la Mer" , a particularly challenging one since I don't refer back to the design for help . I'm in the UK and was really worried about placing an order with Liberty Puzzles about the quality and the import duties , boy oh boy how could I have been so wrong, we just have Wentworth puzzles here in the UK ( don't get me wrong they are fantastic puzzles ) BUT what a difference Liberty are, just the packaging and the wonderful smell when you open the box , those perfect colourful pieces and those wonderful odd shapes ( loads more with Liberty than with Wentworth ) the thickness of the pieces are about three times thicker. I would like to thank you for all your help with my silly questions before I placed my order your very quick despatch and delivery all through customs, all of it totally worth while and I cannot wait to place my next order with you as I have about 10 waiting on my wishlist, I know they are expensive these days but you are paying for the quality and they will last forever. read more
