My first impression of this company was on the heels of Peter Deily; he was very pleasant, informative and detailed about the windows, roof, and siding it the company offered and the installation prep/process. I did not decide on contracting the company for my roofing and siding projects as I found another company with the same materials used and did the job for less then this company quoted. I decided in May 2025 to go with this company for my window project that included 13 double hinged windows and 1 picture window. After signing the contract, I was informed that I would be receiving a contact over the weekend for a foreman to come out and do official window measurements for the ordering of the windows. I was called on Wednesday of the following week by a gentleman only to say " I am 20 minutes out from you." I didnt understand how he decided to just impose and not make contact prior to set up an appointment as I was told was to happen. This was the beginning of red flags. However, we made it work out as I work and was not available for this impromptu measuring. On June 12, 2025 I was phoned to alert of my windows were coming in and to set up installation appointment. I settled for June 16, 2025 starting at 8am, if weather permits. I took off of work and had all window blinds/ covering down and furniture moved 2 ft away from windows as instructed; this was a lot of work. On 6/16/25 at approximately 945ish am I received a call from a female whom informed me that the installation had to be cancelled for the date as its raining. My issue with this situation was that the company (humans) knew that it was going to rain in the beginning couple hours of the morning and could have cancelled over the weekend to be considerate of my time and not have me sitting around the house using leave from work unnecessarily; the weather forecast is online. In addition, I had to get the window coverings put back up for security and privacy. The installation occurred on 6/24/25. The company had a crew that came out whom seemed okay. I had to request that they use foot coverings; this should be a requirement and something I did not need to ask. They started upstairs in the bedrooms. They placed covering on the beds. However while working they placed tools and water bottles on my wood furniture, which was a NO NO. I didnt understand the lack of respect for my property. The crew removed old windows that were put in when the house was built 30 years ago. As they installed I noticed the windows had about a 2-3 in gap all around. That was quite alarming if the windows were measured correctly. They sprayed foam as I was explained in the gaps but NEVER pur window flashing up as I was told they would. They put caulk up only. The caulking was very messing and large amounts on my newly replaced siding. Thet also cracked the siding on the rear by the light fixture. By using the ladder and thumping it harshly up against the house; assuming it was too heavy for onw person to move creating the behavior. With that created divets in my composite front bump out with ladder prints from the cross bar type thing attached to the ladder on multiple areas. Also they didnt clean up their mess. I called after they finishes to alert of issues. It took me a couple times and then I got one of the workers that came out. Then the owner. I was not too pleased with the owner as he rushed and overspoke me as ig I dont know what to look for and wasnt very pleasant and condescending. After speaking with the owner he came out tje following Monday. And later that afternoon it rained and water poured from the front bumpout kitchen window. I called owner back on facetime so he could see the activity. The owner came out the nexr day with the crew. He walked around and said the wimdow job looks nice but never addressed my window flashing issue. However the leaking window was due to the seals around the composite bump out beinh pushed and detached; consistent with the ladder pressing on it as stated prior. The crew damaged the window metal frame and caulked it in the living room. It was never corrected or fixed. It was brought to the owners attention as well. The crew resealed the areas. The messy caulk on the back and siding, the crew actually cleaned it up the day of the window installation. The crew left dirty hand prints on my white bedroom dresser and on the walls bear bedroom front window. The crew cut out areas of my window ledge and caulked over it and it was never correctes after bringing it to owners attention. Also all stickers and hand prints were left on windows. This should have been cleaned up. The crew did not clean up their mess as I was promised. Because of my experience with the seemingly condescending attitude and over and quick talking I will not be able to give a rating higher then a 3. read more

I hired Liberty Windows & Siding for a large exterior renovation project that included siding, windows, doors, gutters, and a portico. I selected Liberty largely based on representations that the work would be performed by in-house crews rather than subcontractors, and that quality workmanship was a priority. Unfortunately, the project did not meet those expectations. The initial installation resulted in widespread workmanship deficiencies, including improper siding installation, flashing issues, trim defects, and other items later documented by both an independent inspector and a manufacturer representative. As a result, Liberty had to remove and reinstall significant portions of the work. While Liberty ultimately undertook remediation, the process was prolonged, difficult to manage, and required extensive homeowner oversight. Remediation details were not consistently documented in writing, work was at times scheduled or attempted without prior coordination, and key quality-control steps, such as clear verification milestones and final walkthrough procedures, had to be repeatedly requested. Even after remediation, there were disputes regarding scope reductions, credits, and whether the project could be considered complete without a formal walkthrough and customer acceptance. I incurred additional out-of-pocket costs for independent inspections, legal consultation, and missed work time in order to reach an acceptable outcome. In fairness, Liberty did return to address issues and did not walk away from the project. However, the overall experience fell far short of what I would expect for a premium-priced renovation. Homeowners considering Liberty should be prepared to document everything carefully, confirm who will perform the work, and ensure that all remediation and close-out terms are clearly defined in writing before proceeding. read more

TAKE THE LIBERTY to NOT USE LIBERTY ROOFING! Hello, this is Eric from Crofton. I want to warn other Yelp users against wasting their time to get quoted prices with Liberty Roofing for any "projects that are worth [less than] hundred thousand dollars". The salesman who came by my house seemed amazingly disinterested in my business, so Liberty may not want to deal with small projects like a $5K gutter replacement job. Here's what happened today. Liberty salesman Roger Greenleaf stopped by my house to provide a price quote. He took measurements and gave me a price for replacing my gutters. Everything was going well until the end. Unlike two other contractors who gave me a quote for the work, he acted in ways that showed he and Liberty didn't really want my business. He put some notes on a piece of paper (no logo from Liberty Roofing on a form or stationery) and told me that the price was over $7,000. However, for today, the price was twenty-five percent (25%) off. This is a silly pricing ploy -- giving the impression of a special discount -- which I understand most remodelers do. My experience comes from working in Home Show Promotion for a Bowie, MD-based company. I thought this "jotted down price" was strange; he wasn't giving me a well-formatted offer. "But hey, maybe he'll sent me an email", I thought. Nope, Roger wasn't going to do that, he said. Then, I asked him, "When was this offer good until?" Roger said, "It's good for right now." This shocked me. This presumption -- that I must immediately accept Roger's offer --shows a level of arrogance I haven't ever seen from a contractor. And I told Roger this directly. If that's the case, "Then you don't want my business." Then here was the kicker. Roger thought this was the perfect time to tell me how much business he does. "Well, we have projects that are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars..." At that point, with his poor attitude on full display, I stopped listening to him, told him thank you for his time, and walked inside. Maybe Roger was just having a bad run with prospects who strung him along. Regardless, his attitude and "offer" were a waste of my time. The company goes out of their way to ignore reviewing HOA policy. They installed doors that were not up to code based on HOA policy. More concerning for a small $1,000 balance of a $5,000 job, they threatened while saying good luck to me....to file a mechanics lien on my $2,300,000 paid off house. IT IS AGAINST STATE LAW TO FILE A MECHANICS LIEN AGAINST A RESIDENCE UNLESS THE VALUE OF THE JOB INCREASES THE RESIDENCES VALUE BY 15% OR MORE. I contacted three companies requesting an estimate to replace the roof on my 3-story townhouse. Liberty Windows and Siding contacted me within 2 hours. Originally, they scheduled a meet with one of their estimators, but when I mentioned I had read reviews involving Peter, the appointment was scheduled for the next afternoon with him. Turns out that Peter was on the other side of Baltimore at the time of our appointment, so at my suggestion we spoke on the phone as it was rush hour and I didn't want him to try to rapidly get to my location during that time. Once I related to him that I needed a full roof replacement of my townhouse, Peter gave me a lot of information to consider, including the fact that he is one of the company owners. We engaged in a pleasant business conversation and some general chit-chat. Peter said he would get answers to my questions, obtain information regarding the size of my roof, and get back to me in a couple of hours. I was pleasantly shocked when during our next call, he offered a price to replace my roof that was so much lower than what I believed it could have been that I accepted immediately. I have yet to hear from the other two companies I had contacted. The next week Liberty Windows and Siding called to schedule the date of the work (and later reschedule--weather-related delays). The day of work, the crew was on time but there was a short delay as the materials had not yet arrived (different company). Once on-site and delivered to the roof, the Liberty Windows and Siding crew went right to work. I had already laid down some small tarps to cover the A/C compressor and some plants, bushes, etc., but they were respectful of my property and put down several additional large tarps to protect more of the lawn, the A/C compressor, and back porch. The crew answered any questions I had, picked up all the old shingles, plastic wrappers, and tar paper that floated to the ground rather than landing in the dumpster, and then used a long-handled magnet to find the errant nails from tear off. I had told Peter that I would buy the crew lunch, and they really seemed to enjoy it. I used to work in construction and, from the portions of the roof that I could view from the ground, the crew did an excellent job with tear-off and installation. They let me know that all the original plywood underlayment was in good condition and nothing structural needed replacing. It absolutely POURED down rain all the next day and night, and thus far I've seen no evidence of leaks. The roof is beautiful again and my house is looking so much better than its 27 years. I am extremely happy that I chose Liberty Windows and Siding to help maintain my home and highly recommend the company. read more

I had not previously left a review because I subscribe to saying nothing if you have nothing nice to say, after my most recent experiences however, I am compelled to warn others away from this company. We had 8 windows replaced by Liberty about two years ago. I can truly say the only good part of the experience was when the salesman was trying to get our business. Once the contract was signed that ended. The installation was delayed from the estimate, no biggie these things happen. The install itself was less than professional, the caulking was sloppy, in the case of our kitchen window the framing around it was pretty damaged after the install (I was planning a bit of a remodel so I let this go and fixed it myself). I also had to ask one of the installers repeatedly to avoid stepping on the roof ridge/vent which is delicate. Fine, we dealt with it and it was over and we had new windows. Yay. Then a window stopped working, this was a defect and Liberty came out to assess and eventually replace that window, that wasn't too bad but did take longer than I expected. Our next interaction came after wooden shims began to come out of several windows, we didn't even know they were there. A service manager, aka Fred the owner, came by to let us know the use of shims is standard op procedure, he was sooo condescending and borderline rude that I admonished his lack of customer service on the spot, he didn't seem to appreciate that but did modify his approach slightly. He also proceeded to install the shims better so they wouldn't come out, not sure why that wasn't done to begin with but whatever, now our windows seem to work right so we moved on. I am not sure how long it took for the caulking to begin separating on EVERY window installed but the problem became so prevalent and ugly that I decided to contact them about it. The problem doesn't exist with the other, older windows so I presume the caulk used is either cheap grade or not right for windows, I don't know but after paying over $6k I shouldn't have to repair the work after only two years. So, on June 25 I called and was told to send in photos and they would respond. I did so right away, and Cathy confirmed receipt on June 26 indicating the photos had been forwarded to the "service manager" who was out of town, due back June 30. Then radio silence, I waited until July 8 to email again for an update, no response. On July 15 I emailed AGAIN and was told that the "Service Manager's" father had passed away and they were waiting on him to return. I am an empathetic person, I said okay and waited. Finally almost a month after my first call/email, on July 20, I got an email to schedule the service visit. Which brings us to yesterday when the service manager, aka Fred the owner, arrived to "fix" the caulking. I was disappointed to see it was the same guy I had the less than pleasant interaction with before but I tried to put that behind us, even offering condolences for the loss of his father. We had minimal interaction, after I showed him all the windows, it was clear even to my 14 year old that "this guy doesn't want to be here". He proceeded to spackle the separating caulk back onto the walls and OMG what a horrible mess. There is spackle all over the place, window sills, painted walls that didn't touch the windows, furniture, I mean like everywhere. Also, it isn't smooth or cleanly done even around the windows. It is uneven with bumps and divots throughout, several windows aren't even fixed all the way around at all. Fred tried to leave once and I had to ask him to first finish an area he missed (due to a curtain that could have easily been moved by him or me had he asked). Before I could check the other windows he was gone, never asked me to take a look just said it would need time to dry and goodbye. Honestly, it's probably a good thing because once I started to look around I was appalled. So I took more photos of the mess and sent a lengthy email to Cathy, outlining all of my grievances, past and present, with this install and the service manager (still didn't know it was the owner). I even said I would not want him to come back to my home ever so imagine my shock when Fred is the one to call me, like really?!?! The kicker though was that, with no apology or seeming concern for the lousy "job" he had done, he said to me, you can just clean all that off with a damp sponge and smooth any rough spots that way too. So I am now responsible for cleaning up and fixing the job he came here to fix... "it's pretty easy to clean up" he said, I wish I could say the same for my experience. The fact that he is the actual owner, and Cathy is the co-owner, makes the overall experience that much worse because they just didn't seem to care and I feel they even try to disguise who they are in terms of the ownership by using titles like "office manager" & "service manager". I would recommend finding another company. read more

Liberty did a fabulous job installing new windows and a sliding glass door throughout my entire home. I dealt with several employees, all of whom provided great service. Roger provided the initial estimate. I was impressed with his professionalism, length of time for the estimate, and answers to my questions. One of the things I liked most about the initial visit is that Roger did not spend a lot of time telling me how amazing his company is. Several other companies spent an hour or more on that. Instead he talked to me about what I wanted, told me what he had to offer, and answered my many questions. He gave me an estimate that day and gave me time to decide on my own. Compared to several estimates I received from other companies, Liberty's was the best price and Roger's visit was the most time effective. The timeline he provided was accurate. Throughout the process he and Kathy in the office responded quickly to any questions I had and kept me updated. Kathy contacted me a week before the windows were ready to set up the install. She was very helpful when I had communication issues. Francisco and his team completed the install quickly and in less time than anticipated. They arrived at the early end of the time frame and replaced all of the windows in the house plus the sliding glass door (13 in all) in less than 6 hours. During the walkthrough he noticed that the lock on the bottom of the SGD was not properly aligned and he fixed it immediately. He showed me how to operate the windows and made sure I could do it myself before he left. Overall, the price, speed of work, Professionalism, responsiveness, cleanliness, and quality of windows were very impressive. I highly recommend this company. read more

Liberty Windows is a classic middle man/woman contracting business with poor knowledge of roofing, poor construction, and most importantly TERRIBLE communication. I think most or all of their roofers are third party contractors which creates for perverse incentives, poor outcomes and lack of decent customer service. I did two full roof tears with Liberty with hope and eagerness to do other jobs -- assuming the tears went well. The construction crew did a nice job on one multi building but on the other single family project, they rushed the job and frankly it is one of the worst roof jobs I've ever seen -- with very uneven DIY level shingle deployment. They also made a mess in the neighbor's yard during the original construction. Every respected contractor I work with always notes -- without solicitation -- just how poorly the roof job was. The single family roof started leaking while still under warranty and not only did Liberty eschew my phone calls and delay follow up -- but then just started icing me and getting angry when I complained about the quality of their work and the professionalism of their workers (one left a door totally unlocked overnight!). They frequently showed up late and never apologized and the call staff and ownership was rude and not interested in problem solving, just jettisoning responsibility. The found it frustrating that I wanted their roofers simply to call before going up on the roof. When I finally got them out to look at the leak job (6 weeks of begging, lots of internal damage to property), they had no interest in solving the problem, but rather were determined to claim/prove it was not their work causing the leak (the owner didn't even come inside to actually see the leak even though I offered several times). So, I would highly recommend NOT using Liberty. It has been a major waste of my dollars and time and my experience suggests they don't honor their warranties and that their contracting model creates perverse incentives for quality workmanship and poor communication (tons of interest when you want to do a job, very little when you want them to check out one you've already paid for). If I ever hear back from them and they make right (or if they honor the warranty on my other tear with them), I'll update this review. Otherwise, lesson learned. 9 years ago I hired this company to replace doors and windows in 2 homes. Those projects went extremely well! Fast forward to 2020 when I had 2 more projects, naturally I though of them. This was the worst mistake EVER! The salesperson lied to get the sale instead of the competition. The lied about timeline and then excluded a portion of the project we had agreed upon. They were not forthcoming about the timeline until after payment was made. Had this been divulged up front we would have gone with another company. The salesperson Roger was very nice until he got the sale. When I raised my concerns about the timeline and the 2 missing windows from the order he blatantly told me to just cancel the order and go elsewhere! He also told me that it did not matter because they were making very little profit on the 2 jobs (totaling 19 windows and a sliding door). I approached the owner Fred about the situation and he said he would take care of it and that he was stepping in. Needless to say Fred disappeared once more discrepancies came to light. Calls to him and his wife Cathy who works there went un returned. Speaking with other office staff was of no assistance because they were at 1 point unable to eve find my 2nd project. When they did they still could not provide the answers sought and referred back to Cathy (again does not return calls). They doubled the promised time line and were unapologetic. Fast forward to the final installation, on the day of the installer calls to reschedule. Still no communication from the owners of office staff for a full week beyond the original install date. And to top it off, 1 of the widows delivered has a broken sash. Lord knows how long it will be before that issue is resolved! I would never ever recommend Liberty Window and Siding again! The lack of professionalism and blatant disregard for their customers is unreal! read more

Loved working with Liberty Windows & Siding. We replaced 4 windows and siding on our house using James Hardie planks. Starting with the sales process, working with Barry was very easy, he answered all my calls during the project and took care of anything we needed. The workers were very polite and worked really hard, starting early in the morning and finishing often after dark. They cleaned up everyday before leaving. My experience with my sales person, Eddie, was really positive, but I had a great deal of frustration with the service crews actually working on my roof. I had a standard roof installation and asked for my chimney cap to be put back on. One thing I specifically had asked about was a particular flashing piece which Eddie assured me would be replaced. My roof was installed at the end of November and they did not replace the chimney cap and the flashing piece. I called and they came back out within two weeks, but only put the chimney cap back on. Fast forward multiple unreturned calls and emails, and my roof was finally finished January 6th. Although my sales person was communicative, I was extremely frustrated with the lack of communication from the main office and the slow pace of the service crew at completing the job. read more

Fred Muela from Liberty Windows and Siding Inc. gave us a fantastic quote to install all the windows and replace the siding. The price was better than other companies and the installation went smoothly. A few years later the trim coil (aluminum trim over the house wood trim) started to peel off in a few places. I contacted the trim coil manufacturer per Liberty Windows and Siding Inc warranty information/instructions and they were making me call one office after the other and eventually they did not stand behind their product and the warranty. I checked with Fred Muela and he sent someone to replace the trim coil at no charge. This is the type of company Liberty Windows and Siding Inc is. I was recommending them before and now is a no brainer to recommend them. We are very happy we chose them. read more

We recently had a sliding glass door installed by Liberty Windows. Their friendly installer was very professional and neat. After the installation, we had an issue with the screen that came with the sliding door. Liberty addressed the issue and took care of it in a very timely manner. Unfortunately I don't have a 5 star rating for Liberty Windows and Siding. My roof was replaced by them in 2010 and they covered my existing Gutter Helmet. An inspector from Gutter Helmet said that whoever installed my roof covered my gutter guard. My gutters were full of debris because of this along with water damage. Also they damaged my gutter guard which voided my contract. I had to have another gutter guard installed. I called Liberty Windows and siding numerous time but no response. Finally I did speak to Peter and he was extremely rude stating that they installed my roof years ago. If I knew this was a problem I would have made him aware earlier. It's extremely peculiar that his demeanor isn't what he portrays on Heaven 600. His attitude was terrible and he was really rude. I feel that he should reimburse me for replacing my gutter guard since his employees were negligent. I contacted MHIC and was told to file a claim with his insurance company. I had pictures and proof to show him but he wasn't interested. His insurance agent said she had to talk to him before I could file a claim. I'm assuming they never talked no response from her. So if you have a gutter guard installed please make him aware so this won't happen again. read more

If I had to review only my dealings with both Barry and Tracy, this review would be 5 stars. However, the crew who came to the property to install our gutters was simply not professional and clearly did not want to be there, after having been called in for our unscheduled job late afternoon only 40 min away. I questioned whether that was a good idea, and Tracy stated it would be. It wasn't. It's okay to be angry about having to work later than expected on a given day, but please do not give yourself permission to take that anger and aggression out on the homeowner's property. What both my husband and I witnessed @4:30pm that day was appalling. I called Tracy and addressed my immediate complaint, who quickly phoned the owner relaying my message. Soon, the foreman was advised on the job that the crew better "tone it down," as the homeowner is fully aware of what is going on. Within minutes, we noticed lessened aggressive behaviors and actions which should have been nil upon entering our driveway. This crew had to return the next business day as there was not enough material to complete the job previously, and it was fine. A written estimate isn't everything; it's a full circle customer service you should expect with any reputable company. Unfortunately, Liberty was not. read more

The crew who did the job were all direct employees of Liberty and they were efficient, professional, and cleaned up the job site perfectly. I was so impressed I've asked them to install a storm door. Their sales rep, Barry came by and he was very professional and an absolute pleasure to deal with. There was no pressure and he was very knowledgeable. I had a great experience working with Liberty on our recent roof replacement in Frederick, MD. Tracy, at the customer service, was very friendly, courteous and professional. A special thanks to Peter, the vice-president, who personally came to our house and explained in detail about the job. He even showed us a picture of his house and recommended a few things to make our house to look beautiful. He is honest and quite easy to deal with. The crew arrived, as scheduled, with all the equipment needed. Everyone in the crew were very friendly and did an excellent job. After the job was done, they cleaned up everything and the leader walked-thru around the house to make sure nothing left behind. I needed a new roof for my 26 year old home. After getting 3 estimates from the top Owens Corning Platinum Preferred contractors here in Maryland I chose Liberty Windows and Siding. One of the business partners, Peter, came personally to do the inspection and give an estimate. I was also considering gutters and having the wood wrapped. He gave me the low down on what needed to be done NOW and what could wait. He did give me an estimate for all 3 but I chose to do the roof now and the others later. The estimate was the lowest (I think their business is a little bit smaller than the others thus having lower overhead???) of the 3 but his honesty is what made him the final choice. The material was delivered the day before the scheduled install date. The truck was not able to roof load due to tree blockage so they put the pallets in my driveway per my instructions and, surprisingly, still gave me room to pull both cars into the garage that night. NICE! The scheduled install day was a rain-out but the next day a crew of 7 showed up as there was a small window of opportunity for installation due to the weather. Everything went off without a hitch. I came home to a very nice new roof with top-of-the-line Owens Corning shingles, a new ridge vent (should be cooler upstairs this Summer), and a thorough clean up. The next day I did full day of landscaping and did not even find a stray nail. Thanks, Peter, for the excellent work. You and your company ROCKS! read more

I had windows installed several months ago. They are beautiful. However, the first hard rainstorm led to water coming into the room right below one of the installed windows. It took a while, but someone came out and looked at the window, saying it could not be a result of their work. They checked and caulked and left. It happened again during the next storm, plus water came into the inside frame of the window. This time it took several calls to get someone out to inspect. He did not show up at the designated time, and when I called, the secretary told me he got tied up at another job and lost track of time. After another call, she said he would be out. When he got here, he interrupted me when I tried to talk, talked over me and did everything but pat me on the head and tell me not to worry about it. He was rude and loud and told me the problem was in my brick wall, not his windows. I told him I was unhappy with the treatment from the company, and I would not be doing more business with them. He quoted me a number about how much money they make annually and told me he didn't really care about my business! When I called the office to get the name of the president or owner, I was informed that the person, Fred, who came to check out the windows was the owner.
