The owner agreed to the fair offer without any haggling, bartering or waffling. The experience we had at Thompson Auto Sales was outstanding. Both the sales manager and owner were both friendly and professional. They did not bait and switch and they did not waste our time like most dealerships I have encountered. And stumbled upon Dalzell Brothers! I had my oil changed and was pleasantly surprised when I got my bill! It was a good $40 (at least) cheaper than paying for the same service at the dealership... And that's with full synthetic oil. I did inquire about getting my car detailed - because it is disgusting from all the snow and salt this winter - but they said they would have to send it out to be detailed. I was a little disappointed to hear that but hey, you can't have everything. The service guys here are very nice and haven't tried to sell me unnecessary service... I know what my car usually needs because my dad owns his own car repair shop, but unfortunately I don't live near it anymore. I have not bought a used car from Dalzell Brothers, so I cannot speak to the quality of their sales staff, but looking around the lot they do have some pretty nice looking Volvos. They do have a waiting area with a TV and free wi-fi... Yay! But they don't have free coffee like the dealership... But if that's what it takes to keep my costs low then that's fine with me! Definitely going back for regular car maintenance.

I'm really frustrated so I'm telling you so that everyone doesn't have the same situation as me. The situation is that my car has some scratches, I want to repaint it. When I met the owner, she quoted 1200 to repaint the scratches and said that she would polish the car and guarantee that all the scratches would disappear (there was a big scratch and a few small scratches and she said "don't worry, I'll do it cheaper for you so you can introduce customers to me, when I'm done, I guarantee that your car will have no scratches left, I'll make your car really beautiful for me to advertise) and she said I could bring the car in the next morning and pick it up that afternoon. And I was allowed to go to the office to do the paperwork, after I paid the 600 deposit (on the receipt it said "Paint around car"), they said there was no schedule for the next day, I could bring the car in on Friday morning and pick it up on Saturday afternoon 4 pm. Talking outside, it can be done immediately and finished in 1 day, but when starting to do the paperwork and pay the deposit, it will take 3 days to do it and it will be done in 2 days. Yes, I agreed because I didn't need the car urgently and didn't rush them. With the appointment written at 4 pm on Saturday, I could pick up the car. Everything was fine until 4:30 on Saturday, they texted to say the car would be available at 6:00, then around 5:30 they texted again and said the car would be available at 7:00. At exactly 7:00, I came to pick up the car, but they said 7:30. Finally, I received the car at 8:00. But it didn't end there. After receiving the car, the small scratches on the car were still there, and there were more small scratches around the car, and there were many, many small paint scratches that looked like there were many small stones hitting them. (My car is black and the scratches are white). After I talked to the shop owner, they said it happened before. then. they are not responsible (at first the conversation and the results were not completely consistent) they absolutely do not take responsibility for this matter. and the owner's child said "I am responsible for the paint, but I don't know about the other places, your car is an old car but you used a flashlight to shine on it and wanted to make it look like a new car (my car has about 24,000 miles, and it was almost 8:30 pm). while at first they said to fix all the scratches and make sure the car looks like new) when I got home, I just started to check the 24-hour dash cam that was installed by the car dealer. then I found out that during the time my car was at the repair shop, they used my car to do personal work.. to summarize my frustrating story, when I went to repaint my car, I did not bargain or bargain about time or money because I wanted my car to be done as well as possible. The price was given by the shop owner, the quality was stated by them and the time was also set by them. money was they took enough time to reschedule 3 times, but the quality is terrible. let me ask if anyone encounters the same situation as me, will they speak up or stay silent. everything I said has messages and pictures to prove it.

My antenna was ripped out of my roof and there were some deep scratches and dents that needed to be repaired. My back window and brake light on the upper fin also were damaged and needed repair. Jay took great care of me and made sure that my brand new car was back to brand new condition. Matt and Joe worked on my car as well and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The repair job wasn't an easy fix as they had to take out the headliner/inside roof to be able to fix the damage. It was a big job and was a lot of work. Once the roof damage was fixed, they also repaired the back window and the brake light and needed to paint everything. Being without a car is certainly an inconvenience. Jay offered to set me up with a rental car. He has gone above and beyond to work with my insurance company to make sure everything was submitted correctly and paid for.
