If I could give this dump 0 stars I would. I brought my car there and dropped it off at 730am, was told they'd give me a call soon, and it should be done today. All great things to hear. This place has great reviews on Yelp and Facebook, what could go wrong? Around noon I started getting worried because I hadn't heard anything, so I called to get an update-the phone rang for 5 minutes without answer. I figured they must be super busy and decided I'd give them till 2. I call at 2 pm and a guy informs me that the technician working on my car walked out at 9 am, isn't answering calls to his cellphone, and that they didn't expect him to return today! What???? Politely I asked why I didn't get a call to alert me of the situation hours ago, I was met with radio silence. No apology. No nothing. I mentioned that I had taken the day out of work to get my car fixed and have been waiting around all day...all he could say was that I could pick it up if I wanted! The old man that works there has absolutely no respect or consideration for you or your time. I had to scramble to get it towed away that afternoon to a legitimate mechanic that communicates with their customers and actually repairs my vehicle instead of pretending it doesn't exist. read more

This place is great. Decent prices. They do the work quickly. And they are honestly some of the friendliest people to work with. I've been here twice. Dropped my car off and they gave me a ride home. The work was done in a couple hours and they came back to pick me up. Of all the other mechanics I've ever dealt with, no one has done that. It may not be a big deal to most but it was a huge deal for me because I was prepared to call a cab home and again to pick me up. The repairs were done well. My car drives smooth like butter now. I took my car to Lamberts today, after hearing a very scary sounding noise from the front end of my SUV. Thinking I was in the hole to the tune of maybe $1000 or more for some extensive front end work, I wondered, where do I take it? We never have automotive repairs. So I decided to head to Lamberts, after hearing a few other people recommend them. When they called the following day to let me know the damage, and the cost, I was prepared for the worst. The owner, Larry, told me the news: $260. I needed a new wheel bearing on the left front end. I said, is that it? Then I quickly corrected myself, adding, is that all that's wrong with it? He said yes, that's all that's wrong with it. Getting the car back was easy, and I am pleased to report it runs fine now. Larry and company could have taken me for hundreds more - but they didn't. This is a first class shop and more importantly, they are trustworthy. They will service all of our cars from now on. read more

I had the left front tire blow out on me going down the highway. After the roadside assistance changed to my spare I needed to find another tire. I also noticed my two rear tires were getting worn and wouldn't pass next months inspection. So I called around to the major companies in the Massachusetts area and they all quoted me incredibly high prices I just couldn't afford being on social security and only able to work one or two days a week. I was driving by Lamberts gas & service station and saw a few tire racks and a sign stating "We Sell Tires". So I decided what the heck. I'll check here. Talk about nostalgia. It was like I was a kid again. Literally a mom & pop station with a gas attendant but self service prices. I talked to a mechanic named Jay and he got on the phone and in 5 minutes quoted me a price that was half, literally half the price the other companies quoted. I didn't hesitate one second. He had the tires that afternoon. Mounted, balanced and ready for winter in an hour. These are good name brand tires too. Not some cheap retread. I've since taken all my business to Lamberts. Brakes,tune ups, all of it done right and at incredibly reasonable rates. I have no personal affiliation with this business whatsoever so this is a valid review. There really are "honest" mechanics left and they're at Lamberts. read more
