I was excited to try this place because my friend said it was really good. I wanted to try to the brown butter bourbon truffle but they were out . I tried the chocolate amond coconut. It was okay but I would have preferred chocolate ice cream base and not chocolate chips. My daughter got cotton candy which is her favorite. My other girls got brookie dough brownie and chocolate chip cookie dough. They all said they were good but did say they gave way too much. I did agree the scoops were huge but I mean it was worth the money. I only tried it out since we're on this side of town, but I think unless you're here for their famous milkshakes or something special, I'd just rather go to a regular ice cream shop. But the staff is super nice and helpful and the inside is very cute. Their music selection is pretty up to date pop vibe and the brightness really makes it welcoming.

    Cake on their site

Horrible experience! Cake was ordered on August 15th for pick up on August 31st (today) at 3pm. On Friday, a call was placed from Lick to the phone of the person who ordered confirming the date and time for pickup. It was confirmed for pick up today at 3pm. We arrived at Lick at 3pm to the doors being locked and the lights were off! A call was placed and no one answered. A sign was on their door with temporary hours of which not once was I made aware of when placing this order or when I selected a day that they would be closed! I placed an inquiry on their page through Contact Us and about 15 minutes later after we arrived home, they returned our call. We were asked if we were still coming to get the order, but they were not there when we arrived. Anyway, we returned to pick up the cake and the pictures cake was what we received! It was already melting in the store. We were told that it was in the freezer, but it obviously was not. I'm wondering if she brought the cake in with her since it was melted. The cake had ice cream piled on top and there was no icing on the outside of the cake. The cake was literally covered in ice cream! Like howwwww?!? Now, the cake on their page looks nothing like what we got! Now, they didn't add the name of the birthday boy or nothing! I mean, the cake was embarrassing to bring to the party. Oh and mind you, it was confirmed that my cake was their first cake order...why experiment with my cake? Not cool. This option should be removed till they have perfected the cakes because this was not it. The cake was delicious but it appeared to be store bought and then combined with ice cream in house. Never again will I buy a cake trying to trust someone. I'll just have to go to the bigger names stores. If you are t able to deliver on what you promise, stop offering it! Please!!!

Took my husband on an ice cream date since he loves anything that involves ice cream. This place did not disappoint and I'm not even a huge ice cream person but I ate 95% of everything. My husband got the strawberry cheese cake shake (came with a full slice of cheesecake) and I got the banana split shake (full banana as well). Inside my shake was chunks of ice cream, graham crackers, chocolate, peanuts & banana. It was so good that I ate myself into oblivion. I highly recommend this place as the staff was friendly and the ice cream shake beyond delicious; however my only complaint is that service is extremely slow and it took 23 minutes to get the cheesecake shake and 28 minutes for the strawberry shake. If not for the slow service, this place would be a solid 5 stars.

Cute little ice cream shop! They have tons of ice cream flavors to choose from and the menu options is huge! Size and price range varies depending on how big your sweet tooth is. Plenty of indoor seating options. They had one set of table and chairs outside. More outside seating would be nice, but it is what it is due to their location. This place is a must try if you are looking for sweet affordable treats, Huge treats to share with a friend, fun things to do with kids, a night cap with your boo, or foodies who are looking for glamorous photo worthy treats. Check them out on social media first so you can get a visual idea of what you want to order before your visit.

Had a great first time here with my daughter. Good , quick service. The store was clean and spacious. There was a large selection. So much so my daughter had a hard time choosing. We got the Smores and a bubble waffle. Serving sizes were perfect.

Hands down this is one of the best ice cream shops in Columbia. Service is hit and miss because there are a lot young people that work their but the taste is always consistent. The owner is there most of the time and she is absolutely wonderful. Stop by and create your masterpiece.

    Brownie me up Sunday

Service was great very responsive was kinda disappointed they did not have a x-large like they said on the menu. Well we were there we witnessed good customer service the, they were very polite, they misunderstood a customers ordered and they corrected it very quickly. They were also training a new employee at the time who messed up a bit but I don't mind did not overall affect my rating. Ambiance was good they had overhead music witch none of it was bad and was all really good. Overall I would come here again

This is the $13.00 Tuitty Fruity (I think that's how you say it) milkshake. Remember to keep the jar!

I definitely recommend this place. This was such a cute little spot! If you want to go somewhere to satisfy a sweet tooth, this place is a great option! It was very clean and simple, so definitely a cool place to treat the kids after school or if you want to splurge on a unique dessert. I hate that the bathroom was not working but I guess I could take a doozy elsewhere. Too much? Definitely TMI . With that being said, after reading many of the negative reviews, I came to this place with an open mind. I was pleasantly surprised at the customer service the minute we walked through the door! I made sure they knew this was my first time and they were more than happy to explain their menu! I can understand why some people were complaining about the prices but I thought that it was worth every penny! The best part was that this place is the ONLY ice cream shop in Columbia that carries a few lactose free options that are NOT Sorbets!!! You bet your Apple keister I got 2 scoops in a big Waffle cone!!! For the smallest jar of any one of the plethora of specialty milkshakes they have, it cost $13.00, which includes you KEEPING the jar! You even have the option of getting a lid if you can't finish it. The way these things are decorated are insanely goood (and yes I have pictures...duh). Again, keep an open mind and have patience when they're fixing your order. It takes more than one person to fix your specialty milkshake , but I promise you that it is well worth the wait. Be nice!

Brownie sundae with fudge and whipped cream

We were excited to hear about a new ice cream shop in Columbia, and even more excited that it is black owned. Supporting black and small business is important for us! When we pulled up there was a line outside the door, check #1... once we made it inside, the selection of ice cream alone was another plus. I mean it has to be like 20 flavors to choose from. Their menu has a ton of options, cups and cones, sundaes, milkshakes, mason jar sundaes and even milkshakes. It felt like being a kid in a candy store lol. We decided on the brownie sundae that comes with THREE WHOLE FLAVORS and your choice of toppings (I went for vanilla, cookies and cream and banana pudding), Kelsay got a sundae in a waffle bowl also with THREE flavors (she got strawberry shortcake, vanilla and a pecan sundae flavor). Everything was delicious, and the service was great even with a full crowd. Another thing, the prices are awesome for what you get. Brownie sundae with three scoops plus toppings and a waffle sundae with three scoops for about $16... not bad. Loved it so much we had to grab some cookies on our way out. We'll be back soon!

This place is one of a kind let me tell you. Whoever made this up is a genius. All of these milkshakes are really good, and make really cool pictures. I don't know who is eating this all, but each ingredient is made really well. The only thing I would say Is sometimes the brownies in these milkshakes can be really hard. I do understand that it being in ice cream does have a contribute. The other thing I would add is sometimes the cookies in the bakery display doesn't taste fresh at times. Just something to be aware of. That does not take away from the art of making these milkshakes I applaud it. And definitely recommend eating at this place. I all most for got to mention the atmosphere in this place is really festive and cute. It is not basic at all. For more pictures you can follow my Instagram @Worthydishes

Very good ice cream but they don't make turtle sundae which was a bummer. This is like a staple item. Hopefully they start.

The hostess and our waitress were both very welcoming, friendly, and attentive throughout the visit. Our appetizers and drinks came out pretty quickly, which definitely started the meal off on a positive note. However, the entrees were a little underwhelming. We ordered the "award-winning" prime rib, but unfortunately it arrived lukewarm. We also tried the shrimp and flounder platter. The shrimp were actually really good, but the flounder lacked seasoning, and the overall plate temperature was lukewarm as well. While the food didn't completely wow us this visit, the service and atmosphere were pleasant enough that I'd still come back to try different menu items in the future. Overall, I'd say it was an okay, decent experience.

On my last visit to SC, at the recommendation of a family member, we decided to grab an early lunch…read more@ JR Cash on a Friday afternoon. Upon arrival we were seated right away. As we perused the menu, we waited sometime for our server, whom was also tending to the patrons at the bar along with tables. I'm assuming because it was just before noon they were not yet fully staffed. We proceeded with our orders. I opted for the blackened chicken Alfredo with a caesar salad and a sweet tea. To be honest I was not impressed by the service or the food. While the salad was fresh and the warm honey butter croissants were well received. The blackened chicken Alfredo was bland and required me to add a great deal of black pepper, hot sauce and parmesan cheese to make it palatable. Additionally at the table there was an order of a 1/2 rack of ribs and a 14oz prime rib both with loaded mash. The rib recipient was as equally unimpressed as I was. However, the prime rib seemed to be enjoyed. Unfortunately, this was such an unmemorable dining experience for me that I didn't take any photos of the food. Just A Note: The warm honey butter croissants and the sweet tea were the high points of the meal.
