OMG, the best dose of diabetes you'll ever have. Word from the wise, drink tons of water afterwards, share with at least 2 other people, and enjoy in moderation. My wife and I decided to stop here as we found this place on TikTok ( off course). We were leaving SC and decided to stop in. The staff greeted us as we entered but continued there conversation ( 4 younger people). Eventually one young lady asked was it our first time there and then proceeded to give us the run down. My wife and I eventually decided on the snicker cup/ shake / whatever it's called . I WASN'T READY (Kevin Hart voice). They presented me with a giant decorated jar. I didn't want to eat it I wanted to save it as a souvenir now. The jar was loaded with candy and the milkshake. Honestly it was delicious but WAY to much for us. After about 4 spoon fulls I was done. I could feel the sugar affecting my body. If I was a kid my head definitely would have exploded. It's a must try, but 1-n-done for me purchasing the jars. I was excited to try this place because my friend said it was really good. I wanted to try to the brown butter bourbon truffle but they were out . I tried the chocolate amond coconut. It was okay but I would have preferred chocolate ice cream base and not chocolate chips. My daughter got cotton candy which is her favorite. My other girls got brookie dough brownie and chocolate chip cookie dough. They all said they were good but did say they gave way too much. I did agree the scoops were huge but I mean it was worth the money. I only tried it out since we're on this side of town, but I think unless you're here for their famous milkshakes or something special, I'd just rather go to a regular ice cream shop. Horrible experience! Cake was ordered on August 15th for pick up on August 31st (today) at 3pm. On Friday, a call was placed from Lick to the phone of the person who ordered confirming the date and time for pickup. It was confirmed for pick up today at 3pm. We arrived at Lick at 3pm to the doors being locked and the lights were off! A call was placed and no one answered. A sign was on their door with temporary hours of which not once was I made aware of when placing this order or when I selected a day that they would be closed! I placed an inquiry on their page through Contact Us and about 15 minutes later after we arrived home, they returned our call. We were asked if we were still coming to get the order, but they were not there when we arrived. Anyway, we returned to pick up the cake and the pictures cake was what we received! It was already melting in the store. We were told that it was in the freezer, but it obviously was not. I'm wondering if she brought the cake in with her since it was melted. The cake had ice cream piled on top and there was no icing on the outside of the cake. The cake was literally covered in ice cream! Like howwwww?!? Now, the cake on their page looks nothing like what we got! Now, they didn't add the name of the birthday boy or nothing! I mean, the cake was embarrassing to bring to the party. Oh and mind you, it was confirmed that my cake was their first cake order...why experiment with my cake? Not cool. This option should be removed till they have perfected the cakes because this was not it. The cake was delicious but it appeared to be store bought and then combined with ice cream in house. Took my husband on an ice cream date since he loves anything that involves ice cream. This place did not disappoint and I'm not even a huge ice cream person but I ate 95% of everything. My husband got the strawberry cheese cake shake (came with a full slice of cheesecake) and I got the banana split shake (full banana as well). Inside my shake was chunks of ice cream, graham crackers, chocolate, peanuts & banana. It was so good that I ate myself into oblivion. I highly recommend this place as the staff was friendly and the ice cream shake beyond delicious; however my only complaint is that service is extremely slow and it took 23 minutes to get the cheesecake shake and 28 minutes for the strawberry shake. For the smallest jar of any one of the plethora of specialty milkshakes they have, it cost $13.00, which includes you KEEPING the jar! You even have the option of getting a lid if you can't finish it. The way these things are decorated are insanely goood (and yes I have pictures...duh). I told our family (13) here. The lead girl was kinda rude and I ordered a hot fudge sundae and after she made it I asked where's the hot fudge? She said the machine broke and all they had was chocolate syrup (which I don't like) There was more product that they was out of also. And you can't get a couple scoop on a cake cone!!!! Crazy. When we pulled up there was a line outside the door, check #1... once we made it inside, the selection of ice cream alone was another plus. I mean it has to be like 20 flavors to choose from. Their menu has a ton of options, cups and cones, sundaes, milkshakes, mason jar sundaes and even milkshakes. It felt like being a kid in a candy store lol. We decided on the brownie sundae that comes with THREE WHOLE FLAVORS and your choice of toppings (I went for vanilla, cookies and cream and banana pudding), Kelsay got a sundae in a waffle bowl also with THREE flavors (she got strawberry shortcake, vanilla and a pecan sundae flavor). Everything was delicious, and the service was great even with a full crowd. Another thing, the prices are awesome for what you get. This place is one of a kind let me tell you. Whoever made this up is a genius. All of these milkshakes are really good, and make really cool pictures. I don't know who is eating this all, but each ingredient is made really well. The only thing I would say Is sometimes the brownies in these milkshakes can be really hard. I do understand that it being in ice cream does have a contribute. The other thing I would add is sometimes the cookies in the bakery display doesn't taste fresh at times. Just something to be aware of. That does not take away from the art of making these milkshakes I applaud it. And definitely recommend eating at this place. So...I will try ANYTHING when it comes to food. But when it comes to ice cream I'm plain jane Vanilla. ALL THE TIME. I've tried so many different vanilla flavors at this point its safe to say I'm a Vanilla connoisseur. I say all of that to emphasize that Lick has great ice cream & the menu has many options & combinations for "real" ice cream lovers to enjoy. I personally order the shakes from here & bought & kept a mason jar as a souvenir to show support & love for this business my first time visiting. Many people love strawberries & i'm here to vouch that they use fresh ingredients & not those nasty strawberry syrups (but if thats your thing its there too. I have heard such awesome things about this cute ice cream shop that I had to stop by, and it lived up to all of the hype! Upon entry I was immediately greeted and it was immaculately clean. I ordered the special an apple pie a la mode with apple pie ice cream. The ice cream had huge chunks of apple that had a slight crunch not mushy, and chunks of pie crust, just delicious . The pie was warm and paired perfectly with the ice cream. Great music was playing in the background. A very nice vibe. When I was leaving, they staff said good bye.
