Lickety Split was called for an hvac issue where another hvac company with my home warranty misdiagnosed the issue. They came the same day, very thorough, the technician was personable and professional. It all took a turn for the worst. I already expected a change out with the unit freezing up and being 20 years old. From my own service experience, I knew the evap coil was leaking and causing the unit to freeze up due to pressure issues. The unit had also been arcing and burnt plastic could be smelled intermittently in the last year. Lickety Split said the unit was toast, no arguement , agreed. The previous hvac company sent in for a replacement through the home warranty, Front Door, a Carrier Unit 3 ton, for estimated $8000. Lickety Split pulled the tstat wire and showed me points of arcing on the unit, plus the other mechanical, electrical, failures. Unit change out time, fine. It was 7pm on a weekday. I had another unit, wanted to explore options I said. Immediately, they had multiple managers, a finance manager, all claim they worked with my home warranty, would match price, not to worry, a tech team there with a new unit in an hour, done by 10pm, and started shoving things in my face to sign. Finance documents, purchase contracts, told me I was getting a Carrier Unit 3 ton. I wanted to call the home warranty, they all said not to, to wait for the install to be complete, they, Lickety, would handle the home warranty. 1 tech showed up and completed the install at 2am. I had to go to the office for a contract, I did not get a Carrier as assured, No Name Brand!!, Lickety does not work with the home warranty at all, did not pull a permit or get an inspection to date. All for a Service Finance $16000 plus $14K/9% in finance w/ good credit, 30K for a 3ton unit!! After threatening to rip the unit out, Lickety refunded $5k, admitted they lied when I went to their office after 50 calls with no resolution. I asked for them to rewrite the contract and they refused. Scam, predatory, misleading, lies, to sell units. At 2:48 pm I called to check on the status since I've had my sink apart for two days. She said I had cancelled the appointment. As others have said, I would give a 0 Star if I could. Be cautious around believing the Google Review results. Now a days, it's easy to have AI generate reviews. This was one of the worst experiences in trying to receive a quote in my life. We wanted a quote for a new outlet. The guy said they were different from other companies and they needed to do an electrical test on all of our outlets throughout the house. It seemed a little weird to me, but we said ok. After he was done which took around 20 mins, he then says what he found was alarming. He said the voltage levels were alarming. I asked him to explain what he meant by "alarming"...was our house going to burn down or is our safety at risk? After rambling for a while he said our appliances are at risk of having issues because they are not getting enough electricity and specifically in the master bedroom. To us that does not warrant the word "alarming". His approach seemed to use a scare tactic approach and creating a sense of false urgency. Moreover, he did not provide us with a quote for the new outlet. He said he needed to talk to his manager before he could quote us on a new outlet. He couldn't reach his manager via phone so I asked him to send us a quote via email later and asked him to leave. The company called and asked how it went? I told them it went horribly and we never received a quote. They said they would send a more seasoned electrician tomorrow to give us a quote for the new outlet. Well, they sent the same guy! The first words out of his mouth was what do you want to do about the low voltage in your house rather than let me get you that quote. DO NOT CALL THIS SCAM! I saw their good looking trucks and received a high quality ad in the mail, so I called. My sink drain was old N rusted underneath the sink and I could've repaired it, but I work and didn't want to do it. I called at 9am, told the dispatcher that I needed a new sink drain. I paid the $99 over the phone and was told the plumber would be there tomorrow between 8-1pm. I take the day off and am up at 8 just in case. Noon rolls around and I get a text that he was running behind and would be there between 12-1. So now my day is shot. 3pm rolls around and as I'm on the phone cancelling, the truck pulls up. A prison tatted dude is just standing in front of the door with his helper, didn't knock, just stood there. I open the door and he stares at me like I have 9 heads. I said to come in. I show him the problem and he immediately asks me to sign his computer work pad in order " to allow him to work." I read the agreement before signing and it says that I agree to pay the full amount being charged on the invoice. I say "I'm not signing this, I haven't received an invoice." He plays it off and say "Oh, I didn't realize that's what I was making you sign" Mind you that I've been in this biz, I remodel kitchens and bathrooms. He starts trying to point out problems that aren't there, saying I need a new this, a new that, that he needs to replace both drains and my reverse osmosis system is more expensive to fix. I said"I just want the sink drain fixed on one side, the other side is new." He calls his boss for an estimate. He then says, " Know what i can do, for cash I can give you a quick fix" I said yes, I want a quick fix new drain installed. It's a 10-20 minute job. At this point I'm ready to kick him out, realizing I just been scammed for $100, and I just want him gone. For three days, I've been attempting to get my signed contract from this company for the work they performed and my 10-year warranty. Their crew botched the replacement of my septic system twice and damaged the foundation of my house in the process. They also busted my waterline without realizing it and left the job site with water pouring into my yard. Called for a service explained my issue paid $287 just for them to show up. Upon arrival stated it would be another $855 to diagnose the problem. They work by the job not the hour supposedly I had no lights in my building and employees who needed to work. I was left with no choice but to have them continue since I already paid the $287. Ended up being a breaker being tripped in a breaker box I was not aware of. So $1000 later they just flipped the switch and all was working. They were there less than 1.5 hours. Disappointed in trusting a local vender in very poor business tactics I've had them service my units twice before same service as previous ac contractor but my unit stop working so I called called Lickety split haven't smiled since my ac heat transfer valve went bad and tech claimed my fan wasn't working properly while he called the so called ac genius he explained conclusion was my unit was to small after I explained lived here 7yrs new unit never had a problem had it serviced every year no mover mentioned this before so there so called apotheosis wast txt with changes unit from heat to ac. Tech told me I was lucky it valve and fan would have been $5,800 but was only $2,850 so due to my splice had some respiratory problem I said okay this was Fri parts were warranted so part came Monday the showed up about 1and left about 4 okay I signed a freakn tablet when outside a couple of days looked at the unit all the tubbing caps on the ground high and low side plus's vacuum tube caps total in hours in house I would say 9hrs plus another 4hrs for calling receiving parts etc etc so I waited for a receipt nothing waited 2weeks and called (good morning how can I make u smile) explained I would like a receipt and what the work was performed and what was the warranty on service plus what Freon they put in the unit until to day nothing !!! Hired them 3 weeks ago and set up appointment time, plumber diagnosed problem to be Heating elements, could not repair because of no parts and warehouse was closed, not able to go to Home Depot or Lowes to get parts, rescheduled for next day at 5pm. I received call around 5:10pm, stating they had emergencies all day and he was not able to get parts, he wanted to reschedule again for the next day. If you are starting to read this...DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY. Read all reviews on all sites. Called for simple work. I was in an accident and cannot lift above my head, otherwise I'd do it myself. I wanted 2 existing light fixtures replaced, and an existing bath exhaust fan replaced. I bought the same size as existing fan so no rough in work needs to be done. Kyler arrived, showed him the items, I have all replacement fixtures. Next thing he does is tell me he needs to remove and inspect the electrical panel, not needed, not requested, as they're usually only good for 10-15 years....untrue, but I played along. He exclaims "here's a code violation" and points out the issue. I said it may be a code violation now, but when the house was built, it WAS code and unless the panel is replaced it's not a danger. The only goal he had, in my opinion, was to identify non-issues, trying to increase billing. He agrees and said he needed to sit and write the estimate for my three items, he advised there would be three choices, Gold, Silver and Bronze. I inquired as to why three prices for the work. I just wanted them hung and one job should be as good as the next, not classified by metals. Kyler states "if you prefer, I can call my manager and ask him to return your $99 fee and be on my way." I advised that would be a good idea and asked him to leave. He stated he would go to his truck, call his manager and come back to let me know about the fee. Of course, that did not happen, he did come back and quote and outrageous fee of $1,112 to perform about two hours of work. I told him to go. They are, in my opinion, scam artists. I have renovated condos, houses, and my commercial property and know the labor and time it takes to perform these three simple tasks. I assume their goal is to sell these multi thousand-dollar packages to the unsuspecting consumer. If I could give 0 stars I would. We initially called Lickity Split to run a coax cable in our attic. They came unprepared and decided to give us a madatory quote (per their company regulations) to upgrade all of our outlets. Said they would be contacting us to come back and run the cable. We followed up and they informed us they would run the cable to the tune of $1700. We requested a refund of the service charge because they didn't perform the job requested. My wife went into the attic to run the line instead (I was post-op at the time). We've called multiple times for records and documentation so that we can submit a dispute with our bank and they refuse to provide this information. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Customer service is not their priority, they do not care about performing the job requested, they do care about taking advantage their customers and charging outrageous amounts for a simple job such as a coax cable. read more

I would give zero stars if able. Seems as if they just found a new term "pressure differential" and if they repeated it enough they would get me to purchase excessive services that are not needed. My rental property with a "high" pressure differential of .40 and the fix is to re-duct my house. Same ducting since the house was built in 2013. Then the technician stated my refrigerant was low so I asked him, "How low is my refrigerant?" "Oh, a couple ounces" was his answer! This company doesn't seem very legitimate to me. I had them out for a slab leak detection, paying in advance, and I had to fight to get the technician to actually look for the leak rather than just tell me to repipe the house. They then refused to quote a slab leak repair and just quoted a repipe. So definitely don't use them for leak detection services. When they quoted the repipe, they quoted $24k when other companies quoted under $10k, refused to provide the estimate in writing, and tried to use high pressure car-salesman-style tactics to force me to go with their company. CFO, Eddie S., after not returning my phone call and having to be tracked down admitted that at least 50% of the job was botched then refused to refund any of the $5K charges. Finally on day 4 of return visits was able to speak with the female co-owner; Lindsay N. She and her management team are unprofessional, rude and condescending. She and her CFO telling a customer that is rightly upset to "calm down" and "I'm sorry that you feel that way" then having the plumber still not show up on time visit 4 is inexplicable. Facts are facts. Plumbers were late to EVERY (initial and 3 additional) appointment with random excuses that were proven to be outright lies given. Initial plumber botched jobs. All of the plumbers I interacted with were newly hired and/or newly promoted to management. Very telling. Owner made religious references multiple times while shirking accountability for their unprofessionalism and incompetency. Likety Split needs Jesus to take the wheel! The only person to come by unannounced was Andrew to see if the job was done and they could get paid!! Unbelievable. Lickety contacted our loan company a month before the permit even arrived saying the job was completed to get paid. I received a call at 8am the day after the job was finally completed after 2 days turned into 8 from Andrew seeing if they could mark our order as complete and not to worry about contacting the loan company he would at some point.
