The raspberry was bright and fresh, and the chocolate chips gave it just the right texture and richness. Triple Chocolate Gelato - Deep, decadent chocolate flavor with delicate ribbons of chocolate flakes that melted in your mouth. So yummy! Decided to try and ice cream place that I neve tried. This is definitely your local hangout and the ice cream are all homemade. Each flavor has homemade and the ingredients. I got a small cone with 2 flavors - blueberry cheesecake and moose tracks. Moose tracks overpowered the taste of the blueberry cheesecake. Definitely loved the homemade ice cream. The employees were patient especially with the number of customers. It's not a big space, literally one line to go in and enough space to leave. If someone is waiting against the wall, it prevents the traffic flow. If you are here, take a walk to the nearby park or waterfront. Enjoy! read more

Really really like this place. They have so many choices. This place is a narrow and goes deep inside. I like how they make their waffle cones there. The staff is friendly and pretty quick depending on the amount of people inside. The portion of the ice cream scoops are fairly large and prices are fair. This is a go to spot for me. A must when I visit Main Street in Northport! I love their homemade ice cream. You can taste the difference. So many flavors to choose from. There is always a line but it moves quick. I have never waited for more than 5-10 min. Serving size is huge. I got two scoops and I would have been fine with 1. It did melt very fast but I'm guessing that's because it's fresh. Also they only have a small bench outside which you can't even sit at because of all the bees. But we usually just walk to the park and eat over there. Will definitely go again! read more

It's summer and that can only mean one thing - walking around in the heat with kids means you'll be indulging in some much needed ice cream. We met up with a few friends for a playground date and afterwards cruising up the main drag, the hankering for some ice cream started to grow. So, not many options for me but they are homemade and kudos for that. I opted to share the Cherry Garcia with my mini-me with crushed cookie crumbs (Did you know Oreos are vegan?!? My little pro-tip for you!) It was $6 for a small ice cream with the topping, but I guess the old adage applies "When in Rome...." It was pretty good, and we enjoyed but it was a little too sweet, even for ice cream. We found ourselves back in Northport two weeks after our maiden voyage and came back here again. Unfortunately, they were our of the Cherry Garcia and we opted for another vegan flavor, the coconut chocolate chip. This was good, but in my opinion, not as good as the Cherry Garcia. Would love to see them offer a few more flavor options, maybe a mint chocolate chip? Strawberry? Coffee? Pretty please with a cherry on top? Busy but super cute gelato & ice cream shop. The whole neighborhood is great & I highly recommend stopping by to get some ice cream for a stroll around. The flavors are really great. I got my favorite mint chocolate chip and my friend got a coffee flavored one, I tasted it and it was so good! I might get that one next time I'm around. Visit Date: April 3, 2021 Came to Lic's after I took my son to see the Easter bunny at a latte fun. Thankfully I had my dad with me because when we parked my son saw the playground so I was able to walk to Lic's while my dad watched my son and grab us all ice cream. I had the hazlenut nutella flavor with peanut butter sauce, hot fudge and whipped cream, got my dad strawberry flavor and my son chocolate with sprinkles. It might have been on the pricey side $22 for 3 things, not sure if that's pricey or average but it was tasty ice cream and worth the cost. Northport is a very pretty area I like exploring little towns and villages when I can so I'd love to be back here one day to just walk the streets and see the different stores. I manage to spend my money pretty damn well and I do have a lot of stuff but I'm less of a shopper now, I still like that nice little quaint, unique village feel and the chance to see different stores and shops that you won't see anywhere else. Small but that's ok because this is the place to take your ice cream and go for a walk in town. This place is very covid safe. Employees are very safe. They limit 2 in the store at a time. Tried this place because the last time I walked by, the line was out the door. They have a ton of flavors, so picking one was hard, but I settled on the pecan praline. The pecans are delicious, but the ice cream as a whole was just meh. It was pretty melty for hard ice cream and it wasn't anything special. What really stood out more to me was the terrible service I received. The girl who took care of us was extremely rude. The place was empty and when we asked for a second, she literally came back 30 seconds later and asked what we wanted. Luckily I knew what I wanted, but he didn't and when we asked for more time she was not happy about it. She handed over the ice cream, angrily collected our money and dumped the change in my hand and couldn't get back to scrolling on her cell phone fast enough.
