Staff was fine. Ice cream was tasty. Guess they have issues with bubble waffle machine because they had to redo it and second time they literally shoved it at bottom of a cup with ice cream covering it and im pretty sure it was because it was burnt. So that was expensive lesson learned and disappointment. Upstairs is nice to sit Upstairs look out the window.
Very unique and innovative ice-cream spot. You can watch the fresh liquid nitrogen preparation process right in front of you. I had the matcha green tea flavored ice-cream on a waffle cone topped with a Stroopwafel cookie. I thought it was excellent and tasted great. It's hard at first and has a different consistency than regular ice-cream. The difference in taste is certainly noticeable. My wife had the Ooey Gooey Butter Cake Ice Cream. It was a memorable experience, but an expensive one; two ice creams cost $25, which is pricey, but understandable given the process it takes to make the ice-cream.
I love it when an unassuming place does something out of character right! I've been to Alkemy before for its dark chocolate ice cream. Service is usually quick and friendly. And the ice cream I got had a good chocolate taste to it, even with the novelty of nitrogen. The sipping chocolate however? God tier. Supreme. Its so luxurious and at the same time, not too sweet! You get this wonderfully bitter chocolate taste that's not overwhelming but still manages to warm your insides. Get it with a torched marshmallow ring and it rivals any sipping chocolate you can get in the city. Overall, well worth a visit in the winter (yes, its true!), if not for the ice cream, than for the sipping chocolate!
Cute place on the corner; street metered parking. There is a second floor but the AC isn't as strong up there. The staff were very helpful, patient, and friendly. It was quite pricey I spent $60 for 6 items so about $10 per. Strawberry alkemized - Oreos, banana with Nutella drizzled on the toasted marshmallow 8/10 Bubble waffle with Nutella drizzled 9/10 (warm and soft) Strawberry with gummy bears and strawberry 8/10 Vanilla bean with banana and hot fudge syringe 9/10 Cold brew creation with caramel syringe 9/10 (there's a little bit of the bubble waffle in it) The strawberry flavor tasted similar to haagen dazs - our favorite was the vanilla bean and the cold brew creation.
We pulled up when they opened at 6pm (and even got a front parking spot, yay!) and were the first customers in yesterday! The staff was friendly and helpful (this was our first time). When you enter, this is a small spot with a few tables, and large tanks for the liquid nitrogen, which made us very curious! You pick your dessert, whether shakes or a sundae and they create it right on front of you. The mixers start spinning and the liquid nitrogen is released (make sure to have those cameras ready!). The ice cream was so creamy and delicious, almost like gelato.

It was topped with coconut and an added cookie butter injector. I think this is a great treat for children to see the process and how adorable the presentation is. I find it a little pricey but worth it for a treat. Street Parking and a lot not that far.

It's very cool concept. Can't talk about the service so much it's more of a machine but the women working here were working very hard. The concept is interesting. I got the gooey cake and it was hard as a rock and didn't enjoy it too much. The hot chocolate was fantastic. But that's the only thing that would bring me back.
Alkemy is such a fun and unique ice cream experience. Everything is made to order with liquid nitrogen, and you can really taste the difference -- super creamy and fresh. We tried a few of their signature creations and the Dulce de Leche was honestly the standout, one of the best ice creams I've had in a long time. The roasted strawberry with the balsamic injector was really creative, and the s'mores with the torched marshmallow was perfect. The space upstairs is also a great place to sit, relax, and enjoy your desserts, especially with the Main Street views. The staff was friendly, the presentation was great, and the whole experience was memorable. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Going from liquid ingredients to a fresh scoop of ice cream really made it taste amazing. As if that wasn't enough, the waffle under the ice cream was perfect - warm, with a crispy outside and a chewy inside. The combination of flavors and textures was excellent. The special is a little pricey, somewhere around $13-$15 as of July 2024. But you really do get great, fresh ice cream, I could see myself coming back here for sure.

Service each time we have come has been friendly and otherwise efficient. The tanks which hide the secret mojo that make the ice cream are visible and any of the staff will explain the process to young and old alike. Some seating downstairs and even more upstairs so you can enjoy your dessert whilst sitting. Modern and clean, this is a very..... cool.... Thing to do on probably the best intersection of Huntington Proper.
I went to try Alkemy Ice Cream in Huntington, curious about this unique sweet treat--but was completely turned off by the staff. Walking in, there was no line, yet the employees purposely avoided eye contact and ignored me. I stood there for over 20 minutes, even asked if that's where you place an order, and got zero response. WTF. I ended up walking out and heading to Ralph's Ices instead--where the ices were delicious and, more importantly, the staff actually acknowledged my existence. Sometimes good service makes all the difference.

Was wanting to check them out for sometime now, yesterday I finally got a chance. The girls working there were friendly. The place is spacious as there's an upstairs. It was clean and comfortable. They are pricey but what I got was totally worth it. I chose the signature S'mores sundae, it was out of this world good. So they use liquid nitrogen which makes for a really smooth velvety ice cream. They add graham cracker crumbs & a cookie, the best part all us that marshmallow which they torch. Just writing this makes me want another lol! read more

Was in Hungtington NY and took a walk at one corner was Alkemy Ice Cream Store. What caught my attention was a sign in the window. Seems the process of making this icecream was from a Science Project. The server noted that they make the ice cream individually with natural items. The machine inside sorta looked like a giant metal pressure cooker. I was going to buy some as they had some nice noted flavors. I asked for the smallest cup. A 4 oz cut is only of Vanilla or Chocolate Gelato already made. The 6oz cup is the smallest for one scoop. Ok I am ready to do this. I ask, by the way, do you know if there is High Fructose in the icecream? The server checked. What I thought I heard was that their products have this in their processing. Then, I oped not to get the icecream. :( -The Business owner- (thank you Alan) has clarified that they do NOT have this ingredient in their products. I do expect it is cool to watch . So, when in the area I go shall go in and order some icecream ang get an upclose on how it's all done. read more

This place is a rip off. I paid 11$ for this with barely any ice cream in it. It was supposed to be cold brew with Reese peanut butter cups but it did t even taste like coffee all I tasted was some peanut butter. Seriously if you're gonna charge this much for a cone atleast give a real scoop. Aweful place I'm sure it will be out of business very soon. I will never go here again. read more
The ice cream preparation at this establishment is what sets it apart from the other ice cream shops. The use of nitrogen to freeze the cream while it is being mixed in a mixing stand is intriguing. The person serving us was pretty cool, with her sunglasses while making the ice cream. The ice cream along part was a little loud, so be careful if you have sensitive ears, just cover them while they make your ice cream. I got the matcha flavor ice cream, something simple to start out and it was good. I like my matcha flavor to be more prominent, but this one still had a bit more of a hint. Just a scoop cost about $9 My friend got the cookie butter flavored ice cream with the waffles and topped with whipped cream. This choice was absolutely amazing. The waffle was crispy and soft and also warm when we had it. It paired really well with the ice cream. This was about $13 Another friend of mine got a milkshake. The milk shake was not really worth it as they liked more of a thicker consistency. The flavor was cookies n cream, but there wasn't much cookies in it. It cost $13, the cookies n cream were an additional $2 to the base cost of $11. The cost of these are a little pricier than what I would normally pay for ice cream. I may come back to have a waffle ice cream myself as that one was the most worth it. The scoop by itself and the milkshakes were not worth the price. The ice cream was also melting really easily, which I personally do not mind, but letting people know for preference. read more

Alkemy Ice Cream in Huntington Village Long Island is freshly churned liquid ice cream using nitrogen to instantly freeze it. The concept is very interesting. to watch as they do it right in front of you. There many flavors as well as variety of choices and toppings. The staff is sweet and very helpful. The store is very cute with upstairs seating and a view the Village. Parking is not easy so be patience. read more

I had this saved and when I saw it as a top hot cocoa place of course we made sure to venture here after dinner in the area. It was amazing. So good when we came back to go to dinner in the area we came here again. Our son is obsessed with watching the ice cream be made and loves it. Place is cute inside and service is always great. Next time we're in Huntington I'm sure we'll be back :P I'd highly highly highly recommend this place. read more

Alkemy is a pretty popular spot for ice cream (specifically rolled ice cream) in Huntington and rightfully so. Yes, it does take some time for the staff to prepare the ice cream, but remember- good things come to those who wait! I got the ooey gooey butter cake and my friend got the s'mores ice cream. Albeit I liked my ice cream, nothing could beat Ample Hills for their ooey gooey butter cake so unfortunately I kept mentally comparing it. My friend really liked his as well. The only thing I would change is the cup size- yes I'm a messy eater but the cup is overflowing with whipped cream/etc at the end ie it's inevitable that some of it will fall (and we don't want that)! I'm glad to see that they're doing well and bringing some innovative things to Huntington. read more

Great new addition to Huntington! We tried it for first time today and it was delicious. They use liquid nitrogen and make it as you order it. It's not cheap, but it is all whole ingredients, no added chemicals or stabilizers so that is what you pay for. Staff is friendly and explain the process and products. Place is new, sleek, and there is additional seating upstairs . read more

A delicious new ice cream experience to have in Huntington. We stop by Alkemy last night in the heart of downtown Huntington to have an amazing experience how liquid nitrogen ice cream is made. They use fresh milk and cream, vanilla, Bean, Coco's, and premium chocolate mixed in bowls with liquid nitrogen. This experience makes the ice cream so creamy and delicious and when adding on the toppings, it is the best ice cream my family and I have ever had. Don't walk, but run to this fantastic place and meet the from the owner and his wonderful staff who give an experience like no other. read more

Not good. This ice cream itself has no flavor. The only things that actually have a taste are the toppings (actual bananas and caramel sauce) It's pricey for no good reason. Go to Cold Stone instead. read more
This was a fantastic experience. Very different. The ice cream was incredible. The best hot chocolate with homemade marshmallow ever. This is definitely a place to try. I had the vanilla bean ice cream with fruity pebbles mixed in and it did not disappoint. The employee were so nice! read more
