A well-known Vineyard that is definitely worth visiting. We stopped by this time because we were in the area and saw there were reservations available. The weather wasn't ideal for a winery visit, but it was still a lovely experience. I'll definitely try to book a reservation again during the warmer months to enjoy it even more. We did both the white and red tasting flights, and they were both very good. We also ordered the Margherita pizza, which was very tasty. The service was excellent throughout our visit. The potato was pretty good took. I didnt mind so much grass (lettuce) for once. The cheese on top of the lettuce is pretty salty but the creamy dressing balances it out. The spicy sauce on the side was way too spicy for me. 3/5 Bavarian pretzel $17- pretzel itself is standard, comes with honey mustard, spicy brown mustard, & mayo sriracha. Had fun at this place with some of my friends. It was a beautiful setting and we got to sit outside. Apparently it is an extremely popular place to spend a couple of hours and when I say a couple I mean that. They require reservations and a credit card to hold them and you may only stay for a specific period of time. If you make a reservation for 6 people and only 5 show up they will charge your card $25. We ordered wine, frozen drinks and a bottle of prosecco to start. The waitress was definitely overworked so didn't get any personal service. That was not her fault, it was packed! Something to keep in mind, they do not have mixed drinks. Of course it is a winery so they have their wine but my one friend was looking for a cocktail. I had the Sauvignon Blanc and it was mid. I also tasted the prosecco. We shared some hellishly expensive appetizers which were very good. I liked the pizza the best. We also had the pretzel and a charcuterie platter. I was expecting to be wowed, especially since they have their rules and regulations but for me, this place is for the "see and be seen" crowd so not my vibe and if you are looking for a low key romantic time, don't count on that, it was very crowded and loud. The atmosphere at night feels completely different from the daytime, transforming into a beautiful setting with string lights and an amazing ambiance. My mom wanted a vineyard experience for her birthday because it's usually an annual family trip for us to hit up a brewery or winery in Long Island as a family for drinks, laughs and good food! I saw Del Vino and they are so cute on social media. Now, I didn't expect them to be as big on the inside but they can hold a massive amount of people. I'm talking big reservations and these really nice communal round tables so you can talk to everyone. We purchased a couple bottles for the table and I also tried their frozen sangria and apple sangria. I liked the frozen red sangria but I thought the seasonal apple flavor was a bit too sweet for my liking. My sister drank it instead. But the food! The food! It's meant to be family style and shareable with great portions! You gotta get the meatballs! You gotta get the Cesar salad. You also gotta get the tomato based pasta With the meatballs. And the flatbread pizza with crispy bacon sent me to an ethereal place. It was so dang good! They have this insanely good dollop of ricotta cheese with the pasta. I'd been hearing great things about Del Vino Vineyards in Northport for a while, and finally had the chance to visit on a Sunday for wine and lunch. Driving in, the place makes a strong first impression. It's big, beautiful, and the kind of spot that works for a date or a group hang. The only rough patch was the front gate. The security guard told us they weren't open to the public for another twenty minutes unless we had a reservation, but said he'd remember us and hold a spot. We left to grab a coffee and came back, and that's when things got confusing. He gave vague directions about where to park, then made it sound like he was sending us to some kind of special area. There were open spots closer to the vineyard, so we just parked there instead. Once we were inside, everything picked up. The space is impressive and busy, but we got a table quickly for four adults and a toddler. Our waitress was kind and patient, as were the rest of the staff. My nephew was wandering around with his toy cars and kept ending up in their way, and no one showed any irritation. They handled it with a smile. We asked our server about specials, wine suggestions, and food recommendations. She gave clear, honest answers and pointed us toward wines that were both good and a better value, which I appreciated. The food suggestions were solid too. The wine itself was excellent across the board. I liked it enough to buy several bottles to bring home to Florida. Besides the fact that everyone said Del Vino was amazing, I knew it was special when we arrived for our Tuesday night reservation and the place was pretty busy. Even if its busy service is always good. I've been there about 5 times before making this review and every time the food is good, the service is good, and the wine is good too. I recently booked a large party at Del Vino Vineyards for my sister's 40th birthday. Although the property is beautiful, the hospitality fell completely short. The dismissive service significantly hindered our ability to enjoy her milestone celebration. Despite spending a considerable amount, our group was forced to leave as soon as our reservation time expired. We offered to pay to extend our stay, but were told all tables were booked--yet we later observed multiple empty tables and were refused when we asked to be reseated. Instead of a pleasant experience, our server made us feel like an inconvenience. She only offered one-word responses to polite conversation and repeatedly rushed us regarding their 2.5-hour table limit. While I don't remember everything that was ordered, my favorites had to be the truffle raviolis and margherita pizza. The pizza was perfectly crispy and cheesy and the ratio of bread to tomatoes was just right in my opinion. It's a great snack to share and it didn't feel too heavy. They have two different prices based on if you pay fully in cash it's a few dollar cheaper than paying with a card. The orange blossom spritz was the best thing I had to drink. Tried the frozen rose and sangria mix high wasn't bad but I'm not a frozen kinda girl. The grilled calamari was great and the plate is big enough to feed more than two people because it also came with a salad and roasted potatoes. We had a nice selection of cheese plate, tomato with mozzarella and basil, a cauliflower crust pizza, and a pizza with pork belly. The pizzas were both great, with generous toppings. The tomato & mozzarella was good, but could have used a bit more balsamic. The cheese plate could have used some more soft cheeses like Brie or blue cheese. This was our least favorite dish because it didn't seem like we got good value for the $. We loved the frozen red wine, and the Tuscan supreme red wine was very good. The jalapeño Sauvignon blanc was interesting, but we thought the reds were better. The grounds were beautiful and the atmosphere of the restaurant on the patio was comfortable and classy. She handled the "Karen" in our party with class. That Karen is also my Aunt Karen. lol. Del Vino's has a full kitchen with great menu options and specials. I've been wanting to check this winery out for years - and I finally made it today. Getting a reservation on a weekend is like an Olympic sport. Ok, not really - but you get the picture. At 11 am (opening) which was our reservation time, this place was already PACKED. It was a hot one today, and most of our table was in the shade but one person got stuck in the sun. Being that it was almost 90 degrees and humid - the Frose really hit the spot! We got a few different appetizers to share and the portions were very shareable. The price was a bit high IMO for certain items ($59 for charcuterie seemed steep), but truly everything was delicious! Service was slightly slow at times - but it truly was a full house so they did the best they could. We would absolutely return - this is a great spot to come with a group (with a rezzy). Beautiful vineyard with lovely staff and delicious food. Came for the first time- beautifully landscaped front entrance. Greeted by a gentleman who asked us to park in the back because their front lot was full. Once we parked we were taken on a golf cart back to the front entrance. During the ride the driver gave us facts about the vineyard and the different grapes they grow which was nice. We sat under the canopy and had a nice view of the vineyard. We were greeted by our friendly waitress Nicole. We ordered the white flights - highly recommend doing this your first time to see which wine you would like best. For food we ordered the grilled octopus (fried calamari)- comes with roasted potatoes and salad- highly recommend, burrata salad, artichoke and shrimp cauliflower pizza - everything was delicious!
