Without question, my favorite item on the menu now has to be their cinnamon roll. It's unlike any of the soggy imitations I'd ever had before and is now my gold standard for cinnamon rolls everywhere. The dough is golden and buttery with a slight crispy texture on the outside, but soft and chewy with lots of delectable cinnamon sugar layered in. The best part though is what seems to be a brown butter cream cheese frosting, drizzled on top. I can't stop myself from devouring the entire thing in one sitting!! They also have the most incredible bacon egg and cheese danish, made with a flaky croissant base that simultaneously shatters and melts in your mouth, and topped with velvety scrambled eggs, a slice of bacon, and melted cheese. Heat it up in the toaster oven for an outstanding way to level up the classic BEC. Also, Charlie's makes a fantastic cup of coffee, and they even have a variety of homemade flavored syrups to add to your latte. Unfortunately, the coffee was bitter rather than smooth, which is normally one of the qualities I enjoy most about cold brew. I also tried the blueberry scone. It was just OK--perfectly edible, but not particularly memorable. For comparison, the cranberry walnut scone at Gregorys Coffee is considerably better. Brewology offers an extensive selection of creative drinks and attractive pastries, so other customers may have better luck with one of the specialty beverages. Still, the prices felt a bit high for what I received.
