I love Lidl. Their prices are great, quality is usually very good (on occasion Ive been unsatisfied but they allow returns for any reason). They are great for basics, milk, eggs, bread, flour, sugar, cereal, etc. Don't count on getting everything here, they don't usually carry non mainstream things (i.e. arrowroot powder) but then again, you may find German specialties you never expected to see here, or Greek. Only problem with Lidl is that you can't guarantee they'll have certain things on a consistent basis. Great pie crust deal one week, next week, no pie crusts, no idea how long it will be till more show up. I usually shop Lidl first, and then finish up in a store that has a full selection of those little things that you need on occasion. Well worth the trip. read more

So this Lidl just opened up about a mile away from my house and it's quickly become my go-to spot for everything! I'm 100% addicted to their flavored seltzers - Orange is my personal favorite but the Cherry Lime is growing on me! I try to come here during off hours to avoid the crowds. The store is always well stocked and very clean. The parking lot can be a little full at times but I guess that's part of the game. I recently got a few coupons for $10 off over $50 spend which is very helpful. I can drop $50 in here no prob lol. Another personal favorite are the croissants at the bakery - these are dangerous but SOO delicious!! Overall a great location and addition to the neighborhood. Disappointed in LIDL. They don't honor prices on their shelf tags. I purchased LIDL 30 gallon trash bags. Shelf tag said 30 gallon bags were $4.99 and they rang up $6.79 - so watch carefully when your purchases are being rung up! The other issue I noticed in LIDL was the stench coming out of their refrigerated meat section. I intended to purchase Premio sausages and, upon opening the refrigerated meat case, I was met with horrific smell of decaying meat. Naturally, I didn't buy any meat nor will I ever shop there for meat! i do NOT recommend LIDl and won't be shopping there again! read more

This is the worst store I have ever been in. The two people in front of me in line had problems using their credit cards. When it was my turn, the same issue arose so I asked to speak to the manager. I told him there was something wrong with his register and he told me to use a different care. He was rude, dismissive and condesending. The sale went through with the original card after three attempts. I then requested to speak to the real store manager as the person I spoke with had no customer service skills. The same person comes to the front and basically asked me to leave the store. I assured him I would be contact corporate..........the laugh is on me because Lidl has no email address. ABSOUTELY the last time I shop in any Lidl! PS I had to give at least one start otherwise I could not post the review. read more

I always see heaps of mouse droppings in the corner by the nuts. Avoid the nut sections or any section that's not in refrigeration or in the freezer (rodents and other pests can't survive in that temperature). I saw someone literally swept a good pile of poop (shovel sized) from there. I never seen atrocities like this in any other food related establishments. I also heard that an employee got in trouble and penalized for staying later to clean it up. They also overcharge dollar store items as well (like bar hot dogs which is 1.25 at dollar tree) which I don't recommend buying. Do your research before buying! Some products are a good deal (if it wasn't infested with mice). Management is nasty and they treat their customers as numbers rather than individuals. Just avoid the non-perishables and do your research on the product that is in refrigeration (such as bar hot dogs that are dollar tree items) and go for the items in refrigeration and freezer section, you won't see any mice there! You can save a lot of money if you don't mind your perishables infested with mice. You can always disinfect the packaging as well. Was going to give this a two star but I got opinions from other managers from food establishments and they all thought I was being generous by giving them a two star. read more

What a Waste of Space from a Store that is not only high price of items like their so called Avocado that did not taste near a Avocado should taste like, and also their so called Frozen Calamar that also had no taste can anyone tell me where there food items come from.. Also it reminds of a small BJs store nothing and i mean Nothing to talk about. If any one is out there and if you want a sure thing for those that live in Commack and Smithtown put a Shop Rite and you can thank me later when you see how much money you will make. And by the way there's a empty Super market that in same Mayfair Shopping Center that will work. LIDL is just another store like BJs in Commack that took over Macys where i will be shock if it last or makes money within the year it started.. read more

Lidl was one of the favorite grocery stores back in Europe, but US version is in my opinion nothing short of amazing. Was delighted when they've opened up a new location on the Larkfield, 5 minutes from where we live and it is now my go to spot for all the grocery needs for my family of four. It seems bigger in size and more organized than Jericho location, but staff is one of the main reasons I will keep on coming back. Everyone is welcoming, helpful and friendly. read more

This store is run by either crooks, or grossly incompetent people. They regularly shortchange customers by advertising discounts given at the register, then shortchanging you at the register. I've alerted them on 2 separate occasions that the discount falls way short of what the sign says. They reimbursed me but this "practice" is not changing! Case in point: on 10/27/21 got two packages of chicken thighs marked at $1.49/lb, with the sign above saying "Chicken thighs $0.89/lb Discount given at register". That means a $0.60 discount per pound. So for the package weighing 4.12lb the discount should have been $2.47. However my receipt shows discount of $0.82! Next package - same story, it weighs 3.98lb, discount should be $2.33, but it rings only $0.80. This time i said nothing, decided instead to post this review bc every customer is being shortchanged this way and I think the public need to know. See attached photos. Other gripes: the lines at the register are always long, sometimes stretching to the back wall. Wait time is long. They resist opening another until lines get really bad. As people try to get through very quickly, nobody has the time to figure out this nasty trick with discounts. On the same day, 10/27/21, saw packages of organic romaine lettuce clearly marked with expiration date 10/14/21! This store is making history in Northport, haha. It's a rather odd store. There's roasted hams in the produce and bins full of rubber ducks and flip flops near the dairy. The shelves are pretty bare - especially produce. I know that there are supply chain issues, but other stores seem fairly well-stocked. The serious complaint is that THE PRICETAG AND REGISTER PRICE DO NOT MATCH. The pricetag will say $3.09, then it's $4.99 at the register. As far as I can tell, it has been going on since at least October. Total scam. read more

They may not have all the products or name brands that you were used to. But what they do have is is very reasonable prices.
