The teen cashier stuttered thru her words as she couldn't figure out how she managed to push the donation button. I asked the manager and he immediately said I gave the OK for some "top up" I said absolutely didn't and are all customers getting this charge? As soon as I asked about other customers the evening store manager jumped in my face close enough that I can smells the tuna on his breath and curled his fists and started intimidating me. I left the store and he then sent a customer outside to fight me. CHECK YOUR RECEIPT!!! Then call the police to report it. If you confront the manager he will try to fight you, send customers after you and have police ban you from the store. THIS IS WHATS CALLED A SCAM!!!! Doesn't matter if it's a penny or a hundred dollars. A scam is a scam.

So this was a real shock today as I finished up my weekly shopping as I now do for my one remaining living elderly parent, my mom. As I gave the young lady cashier her pre signed check ( as I have for the last 20 years, she stammered and called over her asst manager , a not very much older kid and he abruptly said "we cant accept this as you are not the person " This was not news to me as I have had this happen a handful of times before usually the manager or a senior front end person will gladly override.... Not this time he leaves and comes back saying the store manager said no, then Mr Tony Marazzo ( linked in I believe shown here ) https://www.linkedin.com/in/marazzo-tony-7589217a/ says to me " hey I don't know why you are screaming at him cause you cant use the check ok " I tried to explain I did not scream at anyone, that I always pay this way and I am here because my mom is 84 and has COPD so she obviosity cant be up and around. I am not trying to pull anything over on anybody... ( for God sakes I had adult diapers in my order ) He said " he did not care " and then he walked off. Horrible experience I will not be taking my business back there but not before I make sure I get this guy, who has no business being a store mangers fired. They are all pretty much the same. I have been a fan of Stop & Shop for a while now. This shop is big, I mean really big yet I always find a parking spot in their big shared lot. It's an easy in and out for of Fort Salonga Rd. This is a very busy store and the parking lot is large enough to support it. You enter from either end into a huge store. What I like about Stop & Shop is that it is laid out really well and where there needs to be space there is space, and the Isles are big enough to maneuver through with a big crowd here. There is plenty of space around the meet, dairy and a very spacious vegetable area. They also have a marvelous bakery here. It's really a one stop shopping spot. Great deli area and plenty of great prepared foods. This place pretty much has it all. There is a pharmacy and wonderful florist. I am not going to go aisle by aisle and let you know what they have. It should suffice that they have a huge selection of foods and there is always great sales going on with the food being displayed on the end caps throughout the store. THe isles are large enough for you to maneuver easily. I definitely recommend this market for your needs along with the other Stop & Shops. KUDOs to the team here.

I'm not saying that this is not a good supermarket, it had a pretty extensive array of supplies especially frozen, many different flours, dried beans and lentils, but just not what we are used to. I think it needs a produce section and a ready to eat section. We purchased a few things. It just didn't wow us.

Spices, produce, frozen food, even outfits and puja items are all at your disposal. There's even a sweets section and halal butcher if you need. Not only that, but there was a tiny section filled with Guyanese products. It's not a lot, but its way more than any other location on the island and is much appreciated! For the convenience, the prices are reasonable and overall I do hope this store makes it because it saves me a trip from heading out to Queens for the necessities!

They are great for basics, milk, eggs, bread, flour, sugar, cereal, etc. Don't count on getting everything here, they don't usually carry non mainstream things (i.e. arrowroot powder) but then again, you may find German specialties you never expected to see here, or Greek. Only problem with Lidl is that you can't guarantee they'll have certain things on a consistent basis. Great pie crust deal one week, next week, no pie crusts, no idea how long it will be till more show up. I usually shop Lidl first, and then finish up in a store that has a full selection of those little things that you need on occasion. Well worth the trip.
