We made it absolutely clear that this was urgent. By Friday morning, we followed up again and stressed that we needed the report immediately to proceed with a critical orthopedic appointment. We were told the request had been submitted and that it would be handled. That turned out to be empty reassurance. As of now, there is still no report. No urgency, no communication, no accountability. Meanwhile, my daughter is in pain, and we are left worrying about improper healing and long-term damage because of this delay. This is not just "bad service." When a diagnostic center delays results in an urgent case like this, they are actively putting patients at risk. In this case, a child. What makes it worse is the complete lack of follow-through. Once payment is taken, it feels like the responsibility ends there. No one takes ownership, and no one seems to care about the consequences. If your situation is even slightly urgent, do not rely on this place. You may end up paying the price in ways that actually matter your health.

This Hollywood location was next to Memorial Regional Hospital and Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. When you pull up, the only parking option is a mandatory valet that is also complimentary. Akumin on the 2nd floor. Our appt was 8am and they ask you to arrive 15 min prior to complete paperwork. Once we were checked in, the x-ray technician, Rafael called us back. He placed a heavy lead apron on his neck and lower back to block out the radiation. He was only getting his hand scanned today, but it's interesting how it works with only certain areas covered. The scan only took a few minutes. Rafael asked if we wanted a CD of the bone scan and we said yes. We went to a waiting room while he helped another patient and then came back and got us the CD image and we were done. Akumin is quick and efficient. The paperwork process was quick and painless and the bone scan only took 10 min. Overall, we were probably in and out within 30 min max. So nice! Rafael was very friendly and patient with my son. Boy, the reviews of this facility are not good. My experience was good. I came for X-rays because I…read morehurt my back. This was my first time here. My first impression was not so good. I walked up to the reception desk. Two ladies were working. One was on a personal call and ignored me after seeing me. The other one after noticing it assisted me. She was professional and attentive. My wait time was not very long. I was then asked to move to another waiting room. This second waiting room had a door. This door was heavy and when you have back pain, painful. It was hard to open. It took my two hands to keep it from closing on me. My wait time in the second room was brief. I was taken to get the X-rays. The technician was very nice and professional. I had some difficulties getting on and off the hard X-ray table. I completely understand that is not the technician's job due to liabilities to interfere unless trained but I struggled. I was awkward, like a turtle in pain on its back. I wish they had rails or something on that table to make things easy for patients to get on and off. The customer service was good. I did not have to wait long. Sometimes is the little things we take for granted that make a difference.
