I would give this location a 1 star if it wasn't for some of the employees there! I signed up at this gym because it was the nicest in my area.. I have a one year old, therefore, daycare is important to me. I have been going to this gym for about 3 weeks, dropping off my baby everyday I go, usually i drop her off and go work out, but today it was different. I registered her (to a lady who ignored me for about 5 min becuase she was too busy gossiping with another customer) finally I get my daughter checked in. The employee keeps talking to the customer, I tell her I am running late to my class, she tells me they are busy ( clearly not.) I wait for her for about another 2 min for her to give me the sticker that goes in the back of their shirts, and she won't give it to me!!!! So, I ask her for it!! And she gives me an attitude... i blow it off. I then made my way to the infant center, where there's a baby by himself!!! No supervision!!! Wtf!!! I look at the ladies in the front to get their attention and nothing!! I stand there for another 3 min, and the baby starts crying.. i called the lady and she got my daughter and sat her on the floor, which that part is normal... my baby starts crying so i picked her up... the lady tells me it'll get worse if I stay with her.. I decided to stay take her.. the biggest problem here is why is the other baby left unsupervised????? Do they do that to my little one when i go workout??? I talked to the manager and she apologized, however, that doesn't make me feel safe leaving my 1 year old in LT daycare... now I am stuck with them for a year!!! read more

I just signed up not too long ago! Yes, the gym does not have the amenities as platinum, but it is a great and friendly gym! The staff always greets and try to help out! If you sign up, ask for Maegan! She's so sweet and extremely helpful! She will get the job done for sure:) read more

I've visibly seen this club go down hill from the first day I joined. I hired a personal trainer at $99/hour for a few training sessions. He would occasionally call me past 10PM to reschedule for the following day. However, I had to provide a 24 hour notice to reschedule. Also, his sessions consisted mostly of talking, not training. I asked to cancel all future sessions. He informed me that I had to pay another month, as they needed 30 days notice. I noticed a big change in his attitude after informing him of my decision to cancel. I no longer felt comfortable training with him, so I called corporate. I was told I would receive a call from someone named Brian? Well, that never happened. I guess Brian is doing something else other than his job? The following week, this trainer interrupted me at the gym during my workout with regards to my complaint. He was very rude and unprofessional. He said, "Things must not be going very well in your life right now..." while walking off. Who does that? Well, things are always great, and I don't need negativity in my life. I will no longer train with any Lifetime Fitness trainers due to this experience. Also, the clientele walking through the doors at this location must be getting a discount, because they're questionable. This club is ghetto! Moving on... read more

First off, the gym is clean, friendly , safe environment with nice equipment. The problem I'm having is the binding contract's that my girlfriend signed for our membership. There is a $140 cancelation fee (per person) on top of them charging you one last month charge for your membership when you decide to cancel(also per person). On top of that they charge "everyone" who works out at this location an annual membership fee at the same time no matter how long you've been a customer at the location, on top of our monthly payments we make. We haven't been at his gym but a couple months and we are being charged for being there a year already? This makes no sense to me. I have a membership that I myself never signed for but I can't get out of unless I pay the cancellation fee and last month payment? I wasn't aware you could put someone in a binding contract without their permission, signature, or even them being present to them signing of said documents. When my girlfriend signed us up originally she was led to believe pricing would be lower than it was, we are paying is well over double what they told us it would be. Anytime you have a problem with prices they tell you there's nothing they can help you with. When you ask for a manager the gentleman tells you he is the manager but he can't do anything it's out of his hands. Well I asked for the owner because he tells me they are all individually owned and can charge anything they want and have any policies they want, he says he can't give out the owners information because the owner is never at the store and he owns five locations and never sees him. Finally I pry the owners email from him and he basically tells me to kick rocks. They have zero customer service skills nor do they care to, they are getting our money and that's all that matters! Plus we are locked in so what are we gunna do about it right? they have us locked in a contract that we can't get out of unless we wanna pay over $400 to cancel. Save yourself a headache and a lot of money by going somewhere else with no contracts. read more

Recently saw someone get injured, horribly, the other week. No one helped him. The staff didn't even stop folding towels. He was bleeding and only one man helped him. He should have been taken care of by the staff or been checked for a concussion. It was horribly irresponsible and selfish of the staff. They stared like a bunch of caulking prepubescent teenagers. I quit that day. The gym technically would have been liable if something had happen to him. They let him go home, not that anyone seemed concerned for his well-being. I was about to go over until I saw them finally handed him a small towel. It is not my place to tend to the patrons. It is the establishments. I went out to the parking lot to offer him a ride but he seemed adamant to simply go home. Point is, I am extremely disappointed in the "athletic professionals" of this gym. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. Ever. I would recommend that this young man sue them. read more

This place sucks. I had the membership that add money that you can utilize for spa or whatever you want to purchase. I cancelled my membership because I was relocating for my job. I was told that I could still use my "LT-bucks is what they are called" anytime even though I am cancelling my membership. I had $100 to use and called to schedule a massage. Issac at the front desk told me sorry we deleted you as soon as you cancelled your membership. You don't have that money any more. I explained that Mandy the manager told me that I could still utilize my LT-bucks anytime. It was less than 30 days when I was told that. Now I'm out $100 it's a complete scam. Don't sign up for this membership. Not worth it. I went back to Golds Gym at least there is no hidden BS. read more

I've been a member here for about a year and a half. The location is good and the facility is nice, but the little annoyances that I noticed early on are starting to wear on me. Aside from an hour or two early in the afternoon, the place is always crowded. It's hard to get even one circuit done without someone plopping down on a machine that you were using and sitting on it for 10 minutes. I've also grown tired of the d-bag fratbro crowd that are always there. And I don't know what it is, but the guys there love to stare. Doesn't matter if you're a man or woman, there are always guys staring at you. read more

Quitting after membership since 2007. Upkeep has totally deteriated. The trainers are run through like water. They are only trained for 20-30 year old and are unable to change their workouts to meet the needs of 45+ or 60+. We are the faithful memberships that don't lapse and turnover. Train I had had me doing military push-ups (I was 56years old! What in God's name did I need military push ups for) I told him that my shoulder felt torn and sure enough by the next day- I could not lift my arm- had torn my bicep tendon loose-Result surgery and laid up 6 months plus 9 months of PT. He kept the $$ and would sulk sheepishly by once I returned. Never called said he was sorry- nothing! read more

Blasphemy. That's all I can say. This was my first week using this facility, and I feel as if they (the employees) do not care for me whatsover. I have to wait what feels like an eternity for assistance, and even when they do finally get back to me, there's a feeling that they don't want to be there and that I am a waste of their time. I am a paying customer and the last thing that I want to happen is being looked down upon by the same employees in which are getting their money from my membership. The only thing I can complement them on is one of the managers giving my son a free weeks pass while he is on winter break from college. If you're looking for a gym which offers similar equipment and other activities such as yoga with attached facilities like a swimming area and a sauna room, I would recommend going to LA Fitness ( which is much lower in price ) or maybe look into the Fitness Connection across the street. read more

This is the second review I have written on this club, due to some goof the first one was not published. I very much enjoy this club as it is open 24/7 and has a very upbeat bright atmosphere. I have met many Onyz, Platinum, Gold and Silver Members who used this Bronze Club as it is better then the ones they are paying extra money for! Staff is friendly and helpful and the Cafe and facilities are clean and pleasant. Would be nice to have covered parking to keep out the summer heat but otherwise, no complaints! read more

Overall it's a good gym to workout. But the whole changing locks thing they did has been a nightmare. I just had the locker I was occupying yesterday broken into and they took my debit card and 81 cash and they used my card to make purchases at the Walmart down the street. To top it off I couldn't get someoe to assist me with any helpful information like "how did someone get access to my locker"? No one was an earshot of me when I put my stuff away? I had to call myself today and the only response I got from the manager was not helpful other than "there's nothing we can do", didn't seem too interested with what happened. Me thinks I should probably look elsewhere with this attitude. read more

I've been going here on and off for the past few years. Overall, mostly clean, depending on how many people are there. I only attend the yoga classes and there was a time when the instructors began changing and stopped going after a while. I rejoined and I think the classes are better now. The spa no longer offers a lot of its services--no more massage or facials! Also, the gym seems emptier than I remember. Now that's it's emptier, the good side is, the showers and locker rooms seem consistently clean! read more

It didnt work for us and our schedule and we needed to cancel, which they made us come in, in person to do so and they still pocketed all the money. Lifetime is a gym for serious athletes and people who can afford a high gym membership and expensive personal trainers. If you don't fit in that category, you won't feel at home here. My biggest complaint is about the personal trainers. There's many that have worked there that are not professional, double book themselves, flirt with customers, high pressure sales for training, and trying to sell you outside multilevel marketing products. If they would get a better management staff and do away with personal training, I'd be back in a heartbeat. I have never felt safe or comfortable in this gym and I was a member for 4 years. I'd say join 24 hour fitness or LA Fitness... or better yet, save your money and go to the Carrollton Rec Center for exercise. read more

I am most impressed with the friendly staff and excellent customer service. The early morning front desk staff make you feel like you're part of the family. The trainers are great, I've worked with three of them. The facilities are top notch! I have never felt pressured and appreciate the help and advice from the trainers even when I'm working out on my own . I am a fan. I"ve been a member in several different cities and I love lifetime. I've read the negative reviews here, and while no facility is perfect, what I'm reading here is a bit over-stated. It's not ghetto and it's not nasty. Yes, some people do not clean behind themselves, and that is unfortunate, but the staff does an excellent job, of maintaing a resort-like facility. Also, yes, the memebership is diverse, just as the DFW area is diverse. "Bronze level gym". The place stays over crowded until around 9 every night, often later in the summer. It's hard to actually get a good workout in after work because the place is packed like Walmart. I was a member here for over 4 years and during that time they never tried to expand or change anything. It's hard to workout in a sardine can but apparently as long as we are still paying our membership dues nothing will change. Probably just filter that money to their "silver level" gyms so everyone paying 75/month can have space and stations to workout at without having the next three people waiting for you. (Good luck keeping your heart rate up if you like doing circuit workouts). When you do finally decide to cancel you have to either take off work and go to the gym and hope to talk to a manger (you have to tell them you're cancelling then they make you wait 30 mins to speak to the one person that can cancel your membership) or you have to take off work to send a certified letter to them. And you have to do it 30 days in advance of when you want to cancel. So basically go here if you like overpaying to workout it an overcrowded place ran by corporate douchebags with polices that where wrote by your jilted ex-lover. read more
