I'm going to use initials for everyone who helped so I don't put their names online without their permission. I emailed with A.B. about finding a time to come in for a tour and she was very helpful in finding a time that worked best for me. When I came for the tour, I was greeted incredibly warmly by the very nice gentleman Z at the front desk who asked me to have a seat while he called AB. I was then greeted by KG who gave me the tour of the facility. The facility is huge and very impressive! He asked why I wanted to join and my main reason was because the gyms I had used previously were too busy and impossible to actually get a workout in. He showed me around and how even at peak times, that would never be an issue! Their peak time is still less busy than the most quiet time at most gyms I've been too. All the equipment and machines seemed to be in good working order, very clean as well. I had originally planned on looking at a few more gyms before deciding, but after talking more with AB and KG I decided no need to look elsewhere and paid for a years membership! It is the only time I've looked at a gym and not been pressured by the team members to join and upgrade for every possible extra dollar. Everyone was incredibly courteous and seemed genuinely interested in helping. I've only worked out there a few times now but already know I made the right decision. read more

Jill introduced me to Angela the Fitness Director who spent time hearing what I was looking for & suggested a small group class, which I tried & it was great. All I can say about this place is "wow!" The club is truly amazing. There's tons of equipment for both cardio and weights. I love the fact there are racquet ball courts, a basketball court, and a track. Not to mention the indoor/outdoor pools! The staff is very friendly, too! Recently, became a member and I really enjoy all the classes they offer. It is a first class facility with a great spa and pool.

I have a membership here through my boss (oh the perks of being a nanny...ha) and I've spent a good portion of my summer at the pool. While I can't really speak for much else aside from the pool I think that the club is nice. I love the pool and for whatever reason every time I've taken the kids this summer it's not that crowded. The staff is always friendly and pleasant and the family locker room always is clean and well stocked. The only downside that I've seen is that we can't come to the pool before 10am with the kids...I understand that it's nice to have some pool time as an adult before children arrive but kids are early risers and they won't even let us into the club before 10 to hang out in the grass. Kind of annoying but other than that I've enjoyed my summer here and am hoping I'll have a chance to hit the gym sans my work charges before the summer is up! read more

One of the nicest clubs i've been to in Denver. It's never been packed when I've visited and the Spin classes are some of the best i've done in Denver. The only down side is all the naked old men in the locker room. THEY SUPPLY TOWEL FOR A REASON. Actually, it was the same at the Y downtown. I just don't get it. Anyways, I would recommend. Just look at the ceiling when you go in the locker room. :) We pre-paid like $2k for a couples membership for the year (13 months) with no enrollment fees. read more

Here's the thing - we remain members of the club because my husband plays basketball. Sometimes I think about quitting it because we don't use it THAT much. But I'm always glad we haven't quit. The employees of the kids club are the biggest reason why. So much more than a gym daycare. The girls that are there today are the same ones that were there when my 3 year old was a newborn. How do they get that kind of retention? I don't take full advantage of the classes because my schedule is weird but everything is above average in clean, updated, friendly, uncrowded...all the things you look forward when you just need a quick place to drop your kids off and get a work out. I have been a member of CCAC for about 8 months and think its fantastic. It's expensive but well worth the money. The classes are phenomenal. If you want an intense workout try Tabata or Power Sculpt. The locker rooms are pristine and so is the rest of the facility. My ONLY complaint is that there isn't much room to do weights and ab work. I am moving and had to cancel my membership and can truly say I was very upset about having to leave this place. read more

Our family loves the pool and spending time there!

I have mixed feeling too, and was a member before kids and now a member with kids. I have to say that they finally did the right thing by adding a family dressing room. Last summer I got glares from the memebers without kids and was told I could not take my kids in the dressing room at all before the kids pool hours. I felt that the anger about having kids in the club should not have been directed at the people with kids but at the club itself. The club needed to decide:are they kid friendly or not? If not fine-- then parents ought to look for another club. If the answer is yes, then MAKE IT KID Friendly by providing a changing area. So I guess they finally got off the fence and made a family changing area and the daycare is a great option. I agree with the other reviewer that parking is bad. I also think that the addition of kick-boxing classes whould be welcome. In the end, since I now have kids, I like that kids are being welcomed more. Also the fees seem more reasonable than some of the local non-franchise alternatives. read more

Great gym! Love the dance classes! My favorite instructors are Rita & Laurel for Zumba and Robyn for various small group training! The only reason I didn't give CCAC 5 stars is because this is the only club I've ever belonged to that doesn't offer early morning dance classes; which I adore! Do not join this club ! They charged me extra fees for items I did not purchase and sent me no information as to why these charges were billed to me. They did not want to let me out of my contract even though I was unhappy with the service they provide. They do not care about their members and they would rather charge people for nickel and dime stuff than keep a good paying member. Go elsewhere!!!! read more

A really mixed bag of reviews it seems, but we have been members now for over 6 months and so far, we love it! The facility is very clean and has plenty of options, there are a huge amount of great classes to choose from (I do with TRX was not an expensive extra charge though), the staff are generally very friendly, during the summer it's been a really fun place to take our daughter, and it's definitely the best place to go for miles around. I feel the cost per month is actually fully worth it (as long as you use it enough!). read more

We've been members of the CCAC for over 5 years, and love the amenities and spa. Yoga, barre, and cycling classes are updated and vary throughout the week, which is a valuable asset as I balance my workout based on my work schedule. I have been a member at multiple clubs in other cities, and this club is great because it is not too big in size, and very clean. Keegan and Rebecca are great for barre and yoga classes. Trainers know the members, and there is an excellent sense of community. I recommend the spa for a great pedi/mani! read more

After having belonged happily to the Cherry Creek Athletic Club for nearly 30 years (minus one or two living out of the country), it was made perfectly clear to me by the new owners/management that people in their 60s are not only unwelcome, but that the club will go out of its way to create hazardous environments encouraging slips and falls (removing all carpeting claiming it was out of concerns for cleanliness, when the place had been kept clean just fine with carpeting); to make false promises to those of us who saw the writing on the wall, claiming they seriously valued our memberships; to move equipment to the most inaccessible locations (even something so seemingly minor as the tables used for stretching, which had been against a wall, again preventing falls); and to refuse to make any accommodations for anyone with disabilities. I was surprised they'd left the grab bars in the showers (as of my leaving, anyway). Surely an oversight on their part. This place had been my workout home for nearly half my life. I'm disgusted with the new owners, and still in mourning for the high quality club and services that used to be standard fare. read more

Helpful friendly staff, state of the art equipment, clean facilities plus great classes, spa, and a accommodating lounge for members. I've been a member about 8 years so I've seen many changes and I've consistently had a great experience. Membership is on the pricey side but the facilities are above average and the staff/management are friendly and engaged with a focus on providing good service as well as enhancements both to the equipment/facilities and the class/training offerings. About 18 months ago, they added the MyZone fitness tracking system/app and while I have worked out for many years, I have never been as focused on improving performance since using it. I have also met some amazing people ... trainers, group class instructors, and members; they motivate me to work hard. read more

With summer approaching, I signed up for Yelp just to make sure prospective members were aware that Cherry Creek Athletic Club has elected not to hire lifeguards at the pool this year. We've been members for years and have been very happy with the facilities, the staff and the pool area - until now. The decision to forego the most basic of safety measures is short-sighted, reckless and so very disappointing. If you're looking for a gym strictly for adults, there's no place better. If you have a family to consider, however, keep looking. Keeping kids safe in an expansive, busy pool area isn't just a luxury. It's a necessity. read more

This is the nicest club in Denver, clean, great staff, great Indoor track, machines, views, outside pools, hot tubs, sauna, steam. But why are the members so anti-social? No talking in gym and every where else. No eye contact allowed...must be the Cherry Creek attitude. The gym is trying to get everyone more social and has a good "happy hour"on the patio Thursdays this summer.I hope it works because this is an amazing club and a great work out facility. read more

Cherry Creek Athletic club is such a great place for both families and individulas of all ages to get their fitness on! When you walk in you are always welcomed by staff at the front desk. They have everything you could ever want in a gym and are great about offering new trends in exercise classes/equipment. I personally enjoy the outdoor door, and workout classes. My favorite classes are Tabata with Anthony and Ashley, they are both so friendly and knowledgeable! Before I joined this gym I barely lifted weights, but these classes have helped me overcome my fears. I love all the class options and times throughout the day-very convenient. Facilities and equipment are well maintained, and clean. I also appreciate the culture of Cherry Creek Athletic Club: welcoming, and motivating atmosphere for people of all ages and fitness levels! First and foremost- if you are a woman without a ring get ready for tons of old creepy men to hit on you!! I actually stopped going at a certain time to avoid a particularly aggressive old man. Secondly, the contracts and treatment of members at cherry creek athletic club is completely arbitrary and unfair. From talking around, some people get free guest passes, others receive free massages for no reason-except that the staff likes them. When I have ever inquired about these free benefits I was treated like I did not belong. After a long summer of construction, the final product really is not that great. It is crowded and dysfunctionally set up. Finally, after receiving a job offer out of the country, I have attempted to cancel my membership. I was informed that this is not allowed in absolutely any circumstance, but if I forward a copy of my new rental agreement after moving, a meeting will be called to discuss what could possibly be done. After a complete invasion of privacy, cancellation of my account is not even guaranteed. Don't waste your time or money here! read more

I have been a member at Cherry Creek Athletic Club for over 8 years. My favorite part of the club is the outdoor lap pool, which is open year-round. It is such a pleasure to swim outdoors, no matter what the weather. Also, the lap pool is designated for lap swimming only, which is nice, because I don't have to worry about someone jumping in on me when I'm swimming. There is a separate leisure pool for fun swimming that I take my kids to. There is also an indoor pool, which is smaller, but still a nice amenity for anyone who doesn't want to be outdoors. I don't know of any other facility quite like it in Denver. It really brings me great joy. read more
