Has a ton of amenities. A great selection of equipment to work with outside of the normal gym stuff (kettlebells, battle ropes, sleds, etc). Free classes with friendly & cheerful instructors. Stocks towels and does fairly well on cleaning. Been to a lot of gyms and this one is the best by far on cleanliness but still not perfect. Whole staff is nice & friendly as well. I referred a friend and she went in the past Friday ("Black Friday") to enroll. Not only did she not get a tour, but the membership advisor didn't explain anything to her. She left there feeling rushed, with many unanswered questions, and regretting her purchase. She was not explained the different membership levels and what her monthly membership dues are based on. AND, to top it off, $140 of the LTF dollars they gave her as a sign-on bonus were mysteriously used toward 2 personal training sessions that she did not book. SHADY!!! Needless to say, I will never again refer anyone to this location! I'm hoping I can convince her to stay on board if she can use the other locations. read more

Like the Hotel California......you can never leave Had emergency surgery 5 months ago and was out of work a couple of months. Called to cancel and maybe even get 2 months refunded as has happened at a previous gym. Forget about that here! We are still being hounded & harassed. They want a registered letter, my health records (!), all just to clear off 1 month's payment they say we're owing. The only way they allow medical "leave" for members if a letter before the fact. Emergencies don't count. Emails don't count as notification. You must go in and sign their papers. The corporate office maintains the same hard line. I told them, "hello folks, you are a GYM! " No humanity. It's all about the bucks. We are getting regular calls and emails still for that 1 month fee. read more

My wife and I recently joined Life Time Fitness in Orland Park. We met with a membership specialist, and she asked why we left our other gym. My wife explained that our previous gym didn't have high cleaning standards which is why we were considering our options. We were then introduced to the manager of the janitorial staff. He reviewed the cleaning schedule with us and explained how the facility was maintained. We were impressed. We decided to join and have been members for 3 months. Everyone from the front desk staff to the locker room attendant is pleasant and helpful. We are very happy with our membership. read more

Best spin classes I have ever been to! Angie on Tuesday and Thursday night can't be beat. If you're into to hard cardio this is a must. Too many lame instructors out there that the really good ones need to be put on a pedestal! And to all of you who complain that the Orland Club is too crowded you should go to the Old Orchard or Schaumburg clubs. Ours is like a morgue compared to those! read more

Im reviewing the gym and the appearance and cleanliness of the gym because that's only fair. I'm not reviewing the pushy sales people because everyone complains bout them. Most of em are cool, with the exception of the occasional one or two dbags. Anyway, the gym is great..everything you need is there. Two nice basketball courts, a cafe, locker rooms, two hot tubs, a big sauna, pool (lanes and open) and upstairs is filled with cardio and weight equipment. Always feel safe there as far as my stuff, ALOT of people complain but Idk i think that was back in the day. (Ive been a member since lyk '04? On and off) They offer classes and all that ish. Great gym wouldn't take my $ elsewhere {except maybe Xports in Chicago Ridge} So yes Lifetime please keep ur rate at $63 please cuz its already too damn high. Adult classes are great. Facility is clean. Customer service is mediocre. Not impressed at all with childcare center. Staff there seems uninterested to be around kids. Had an issue there with my child, called to speak to a manager but apparently there was no manager around. Was told the message would be passed along and I would get a call the next morning. It has been over two weeks and still no call. If I'm paying for childcare I expect good care and people who actually like being around kids. Kids are kids and they get hurt, but at the least I would appreciate some concern from the staff, let me know what happened, and have a first aid kit around. read more

It's always humid and packed! For $80 a month you would think it was up to date but it's old, there's repairs needed in the locker rooms (broken doors) and the cardio machines are older models. I left LA fitness because of the humidity but I guess it doesn't matter, their other locations are way nicer, this one is no better than the $20 dollar gyms read more

Been a member since '03 Here is the rundown on LTF Orland: **The reviews that are 4 stars and above are clearly written by one of the 75 membership salespeople*** 1. Smelly showers. Natural stone is a beautiful finish but it is not well suited for a commercial shower environment. Very porous and, thus, a breeding ground for germs. 2. Too busy. There are simply too many people using this gym. During peak hours it is very difficult to get a decent workout in. 3. Clientele. Many of the members are inconsiderate and even rude. For example, the squat racks are frequently used for doing arm curls. In the gym world, this is unacceptable when others need this equipment for its intended purpose. There is an insufficient number of bar clamps. People leave weights laying all over the place. There are very few individuals interested in seriously working out. What you will see here are scores of people standing around conversing or looking in the mirror with their sleevless shirts on. Very few people can be seen sweating 4. Employees. Most of the employees are very friendly and helpful. There is a very high turnover rate for employees though. The sharp-dressing 21 year old membership salespeople seem to carry themselves as if they are top dog at an investment firm or megabank. The people at the front desk and towel desk are great. I have never used the personal trainers, but an objective observation reveals trainers standing next to their client, appearing uninterested and looking around the gym. One can also notice that the clients are not sweating or appearing to exert much effort. Conversations unrelated to fitness can be heard. I have yet to see any of the personal training clients sweating. 5. Features. The climbing wall is rarely open, it seems to be more for decoration and I believe it requires an upgraded membership. The pools are very nice. All in all, a very dissappointing gym. I have only been a member so long for geographical convenience. Other then the membership being SO expensive I have to say it is worth it. Showers are clean locker rooms are huge locker is good size for a Nike gym bag has hangers in the locker for your coat/hat. HUGE. Rooms to lift weights with mirrors and wooden floors great selection of weights and machines the treadmills all have tv in them which is cool and Internet! Lifetime Fitness in Orland Park, has been unrivaled with any other Fitness center when it comes to professionalism and courtesy. Not to mention what this gym offers annihilate any and all competitors. Definitively as a member, I can say from the moment you step foot inside until you exit, the Staff at the front desk ask about your day and ensure your time was well spent. As a once upon a time guest, I immediately knew that if I were to become a patron this spot would do more than suffice. Growing up in the area for 18 years and graduating from Tinley Park High School the atmosphere surrounding Lifetime Fitness is amazing. Or SO it was until Monday evening, on the 4th of June 2018. John Jaber left me embarrassed humiliated and quite disgusted. A minor incident inside the gymnasium was being rectified with Staff. John arrived at the same exact time with another member of Staff and appeared to be assisting at first glance. As I approach John, before I could complete my sentence asking for help he Bluntly interrupted and chose these exact words to use with me. " Dont You See I'm Busy, whatever you want to say Take It Up With Someone else." I stared shocked and floored at these words. If the verbal was not enough he backed it up nonverbally. John's stare along with his mannerism which were very Threatening, left me to simply turn around and walk away with not a SINGLE word to say back. If this is the direction that Lifetime is headed in I hope it comes to a screeching halt. Soon enough more complaints will pour in until a Court Dispute is handled between Patron and Lifetime Fitness. The actions John exhibited, makes it very difficult to ever recommend or invite guest or visitors. I hesitate at speaking High of this Gym whose Integrity for so long never could have been questioned. Go back to the way things Were. Professional and Courteous. read more

I have been a member here since it's first day and overall it is a good gym. There are times in the day that it can get crowded (especially prime time 6:00pm -9:00pm). It has a sort of country club vibe with some nice amenities like provided towel service, keyed lockers, steam rooms, saunas, whirl pools & regular pools. The pools are both indoors & out with a lot of slides and kid stuff. Speaking of kid stuff they also have a day care that is included. They will watch your kids for up to 2 hours. Up front there is a deli like store to get Sandwiches, coffee, smoothies etc. The lockers rooms are spacious with enough showers that I rarely have to wait. However sometimes they reek like ass. There are two basketball courts, several racket ball courts & rock climbing walls all located on the 1st floor. The most important part is the top floor (the reason we're here), the weights, machines & cardio equipment. The layout is very good and easy to move about. Nothing is to crammed & there is an ample amount of equipment. There are several class rooms with many different classes that are also included in your dues. Currently I pay $55. a month. read more

This club has improved sufficiently! They just remodeled everything this month. Showers, gym floor, equipment, basketball court, and etc. The whole facility is nice! It's actually worth coming here more with the remodel. Now LTF just needs to raise fees and upgrade the club level to help with overcrowding. read more

A friend of mine raved about a water aerobics class with Jerry Jasper and offered me a pass to try out the class with her. I went-it was by far the best class I've taken at LTF in years. It was a great workout and Jerry was a riot. So much that it made me inquire again about re-joining the gym. I was a member for probably 15 years, with a single rather than a family membership, which means you pay the highest rates on a per capita basis. When I inquired about re-joining, they gave me the rates ($75 month) but still wanted me to pay the fees to rejoin, which was disappointing. There is no basis for initiation fees other than as a revenue generator. I've paid it once and conservatively speaking, 15 years at an average of $60 a month (it was about 45 when I joined and 70 when I left) I've paid about $10,000 to them already. (Not mentioned the spa treatments, training sessions, swimming classes, etc. outside of monthly fees.) But it always feels like they're trying to squeeze out every last dollar from their members rather than actually trying to serve them. This is still the closest facility to my house. As far as gyms go this one has got a lot, obviously. The pool was usually crowded and not that comfortable for me. The weight room had a kind of 'factory' feel but lots of options and overall good equipment. I think if you have the time and energy to utilize everything, you could basically live there... otherwise it's a little too much. read more

Hi Fellow fitness geeks, Wow! I likewise think most of these comments are pretty rough. We have been members since 01'. we came on a quiet Saturday evening with our children. The club was pretty empty at that particular time of day but the child center, spa, and cafe were still opened. We joined and for the most part have had a positive experiences. The 24/7 accessibility is probably the biggest plus. Our family of 5 has gotten older(no more child center) and our schedules keep us busy. However the daily/ weekly schedule usually includes the question " Im going to LIfetime at 5am in the morning. Anyone coming with or are you going to go later... or it's 9pm I have to go to work early so Im going to Lifetime now. whoever wants to go come now. Seems to be a focal point on many of our days when we all run different schedules. We've met some pretty nice people here. Contrary to what others have said, I find that the staff here is generally friendly and that they do their best to keep the locker rooms clean. There are times when there may be a stench of urine or a few towels laying around in the showers and locker rooms but generally its is clean. Ive gone to the PLATINUM Burr Ridge location and actually bought my 23yr old a platinum membership when we had to change hers when when turned 21 because she works in Bolingbrook and Hinsdale and thought she would use it more there. I have used that club and the Romeoville clubs and there is no way theirs in SO much cleaner ,nicer, more this and that than Orland. Ive gone there all different times of day and evening...and at different times of year. Maybe it was the creme de la creme at one time but whenever that was its more crowded and unkept than Orland Park club. Sometimes we see what we want to see and complain about things we as members nor the management have any control over. Management can only put up sign and run the announcement through their systems about being considerate of other members but they cannot stop people from: urinating in the showers...throwing their towels all over...allowing their children from running wild or making out in the pool... stopping the grown men from arguing about raquet or basketball...We all learned better at home. read more

Life Time Fitness has the absolute best yoga instructors! Brenda's vinyasa flow class is amazingly fun with high energy playlists! It's so popular you must get there early to find a spot! Kristen's class is challenging and deeply thought provoking. Heather's class is always filled with poses I've never even seen before! And Victoria's Ashtunga class is exquisitely instructed in Sanskrit. Her postures are precise and she gives individual help to her students. Her body says it all! I started with Vanessa whom we all still miss. She is teaching in Kentucky now. Her class was always relaxing with 70's music and her precious gems of wisdom she would share just when I needed it the most! I can't praise these yogis enough! I'm eternally grateful for all of their guidance and help. I have taken yoga classes in New York and LA and have never experienced anything like the caliber of yoga these ladies offer! ‍ read more

Very poor customer service at this location. I called to inquire about a day pass as I live in the area and instead of actually communicating with me like a person they just directed me to go online. So I went online and did a day pass. Got ready went to gym and was told by the front desk and manager that I could not enter. Instead of explaining that because I came with a member in the past I couldn't use the promo day pass online they just told me I can pay $25 if I want to come in or sign up as a member today. Yeah, no thanks. Maybe if someone just explained that to me when I called it would have saved me my time. I understand people are busy but you get paid to do a job for your time. Mine was wasted because of laziness by both the front desk and manager. A potential future client to your gym was lost today because of laziness. read more

Beware - although Lifetime Fitness claims that they are a no contract gym, when you try to cancel you will be charge for the month in which you cancel plus the following month. I canceled my membership today after they changed the hours of their childcare center. It is nearly impossible to find an opening for infant care. When I explained that I could not go to the gym if the child center was not open and would have to cancel they said there was nothing they could do. I called the Gym and asked to speak to the manager about my membership. The "husky uncompassionate, I Don't give a dam" manager comes on the line. I tell him I need to cancel my membership due to surgery and long recovery. He says "you need to come in person or sent a certified letter. And it will take one month cycle for it to change. And I asked him "Really, it take 30 days to cancel my membership"? Why does it take that long? The manager, "Maam, thats how it works". AND I say "Okay". Where is the customer service? read more

They have everything you need at lifetime (pool, sauna, whirlpool, basketball courts, and plenty of fitness equipment). I love the fact that they always have nice clean towels to use so I don't have to bring my own. The only thing I don't like is that the locker room can get a bit crowded. The staff is unprofessional, untrained, and down right rude. I try to go using a guest pass that my sister gave me and they cause a problem every time. At first it all went fine, my sister signed the consent form. Then i come back and need a consent form from a guardian, fine great we got it and had it signed through electrical form. Then, the lady at the front desk says i need the parental guardian to be there to sign it?! And i need some form of ID?? The staff members are more worried about a lawsuit, then the performance and cleanliness of the facility. The showers constantly have dirty/broken razors, empty shampoo bottles, and other DISGUSTING things. The sauna is always a mess with hair all over the floor. Not to mention the pool is either closed or broken 75% of the time. Causing an inconvenience not only to us but other members with children or just needing to swim. This inconvenience has caused us to have to go to a different location. The humorous part is the other location was not only highly maintained but had welcoming,helpful staff. I strongly suggest not going to this gym. I dont not what happend, if they changed management or something else but its strongly suggested they organize themselves. read more

Wonderful amenities...terrible management. The pool is too cold and when you complain they look at you with a really I could care less attitude. The changing room are filthy, look at the walls and seats, nasty smeared on crap. I used to lay out a towel and put my things on it. I think their policy that no minors can be there after a certain time, even with an adult is stupid. I canceled my membership for various reasons, when I wanted to rejoin, all of a sudden their is a sign up fee, which is ridiculous...really fee for what, for you to type info in the system...Then got quoted all kinds of prices for the sign up fee, as well as add on fees. Its about them making commission on you, feels like an auction. Then when you don't go for their quoted prices, they will call you back with some special deal, that turns out to be the same if not more than what you were initially quoted. Then when you ask them to clarify or show you in print, they act offended. FYI if you running a business on the straight and narrow, no need for the double talk and getting all offended when asking to see things in black and white. Maybe if you people didn't play with your words and keep changing around your verbal promises, you wouldnt have that problem. They crack me up, they will tell you if you need more guest passes or anything else they personally will help you, when you need help, guess what they no longer work for the company, and no one will honor their "verbal promises" .
