Came to this facility for a PPA Pro Pickleball Tournament from out of State. Beautiful grounds, nice Championship court setup, swimming pool kept calling me, resisted the draw to jump in. Staff all seemed friendly and helpful. The parking was a bit of a pain off site for spectators. It was free as the shuttle was so can't complain. Food was decent from grill although I recommend cooking the chicken a little longer. Pulled pork sandwich was yummy. Lots of drink choices. Happy they had coffee at the outside bar. Review is specific to Lifetime Swim. Which is a USA Swimming affiliated club that calls this pool home. The team itself is 5 stars! The coaching staff is one of the best in Northern California and despite is size competes directly with the largest teams in region. With the construction of the new pools and the surrounding facilities the team has access to amazing short and long course pools. If you have a swimmer interested in trying out please do so! It's amazing team and a great facility Regarding the facilities I haven't had any issues but the staff at front can be hit or miss in terms of quality. Highly recommended for swimming! read more

I used to come here back when it was Arden Hills, and I'll be honest -- at that time it had a certain feel that was hard to beat. That's not a knock on Life Time at all. They've put real effort into upgrading and modernizing the facility, and it shows. The locker rooms are a big improvement, and the pickleball courts were a great addition. You can tell they're investing in the property and trying to bring it up to full Life Time standards. Construction is still ongoing in certain areas, which I understand -- upgrades take time -- and I'm excited to see the finished product once everything is complete. I'm currently a Life Time member at both Folsom and Arden, and I'm hopeful they continue stepping it up at the Arden location. The potential is definitely there, and it's already moving in the right direction. Overall, solid improvements and looking forward to seeing what's next. read more

I've been to other lifetimes where they acquired property and did conversions. This one is definitely interesting. I could not find a hot tub or cold plunge I was told by the front desk that there might be one in the pool area, but I ended up just giving up trying to find the hot tub. The renovations are very slow here and whoever designed the locker room was definitely a man because the showers are so far away from the lockers no woman would ever design that. The showers are tucked away in the corner, and you have to walk past the sink and mirrors the actual toilets next to the steam and sauna room and then you will finally get to the lockers . So bring a bag with all your clothes so you can change in the shower OR definitely bring your flip-flops so you can walk through the whole entire gym before getting back to your locker to change. I really enjoyed the café/clubhouse with my daughter. That was the highlight of this location. I did not like how dark the yoga room was. The blacked out glass gave me anxiety. Overall very clean. I hope they stay that way. This location used to have gloss moderne now they have Kiehl's. I think all higher tiered lifetimes have Kiehl's which is great but in my perfect world all lifetime locations should use Gloss Moderne and definitely never use soapbox lol Looks like they are building a parking garage. I can't wait to come back and see what else they add to this location! read more

Today was my first day at Lifetime Arden and overall I was really impressed. The gym just opened on June 27 and is currently in Phase 1 of its rollout. It's a beautiful three-story facility and felt a little like a maze at first, but it's clear how much potential this place has. I never came here when it was Arden Hills, so I can't compare it to what it was before, but what Lifetime is building now looks really promising. There is still some construction visible during the day in certain areas, which is to be expected with a phased opening. One of my favorite things is that the cardio machines have their own floor. It makes the space feel more open and less chaotic. The women's locker room feels super luxurious. The showers are stocked with great quality soap and conditioner, and they provide everything you could need--razors, tampons, makeup wipes, deodorant, lotion, mouthwash, and towels. There's even a swimsuit wringer, which is such a thoughtful touch. The steam room, sauna are amazing, especially the steam room! The clubhouse is next door to the gym and is really nicely decorated. There's a golf simulator and a bar inside, and they mentioned there will be an outdoor bar by the pool once it opens. The pool is expected to open by the end of August and I'm really looking forward to that. The only downside right now is that even though the club isn't fully open, we're still paying full membership fees. I wish they adjusted the fees during this time. The Kids Club isn't open yet either, so for now I'll still be using the Folsom location when I need childcare. They're currently offering four tennis courts and four temporary pickleball courts, with the full court area expected by mid-July. The outdoor beach club and Kids Academy will be opening in the coming months. Even though it's still in progress, everything I experienced today was really solid. Came here for the Sacramento PPA pickleball tournament, nice facility for swimming and pickleball but very little on-site parking. I had a poor customer experience at the food bar. I purchased 2 Chicken Caesar Salad listed at a menu price of $10.99 for lunch and later noticed the container said $12.99, and I saw my credit card was charged for the $12.99 price each so I thought that was sort of deceiving. I went back and told the cashier and they only said that the menu sign was wrong and that the price on the container was right and they said that they would tell a manager and correct the sign. I came back at the end of the day and the menu was still listing the wrong price. Seems sketchy to have this going at a large event like the Sacramento PPA pickleball tournament. read more

I've had a membership at this fitness club in the Roseville location for about six months now. Honestly, it is quite expensive, but I absolutely don't regret being a member because it's more than just a gym. You can find pretty much everything you need there. If you have kids or if you're not really into working out on your own, they offer a wide variety of classes, including Pilates on equipment. I highly recommend this club it's very clean and the staff is friendly. A big plus is that it's open until midnight, so even if you have a very busy schedule, you can always find time to come in and work out. It's open from 4 a.m. to 12 a.m., which is super convenient. I could say a lot of positive things about this gym because I really like it. However, there are also a few downsides. For me, it's the kids club hours. On weekdays it's open until 8 p.m., but on weekends it closes at 4 p.m., which feels way too early. I wish the kids club stayed open longer, and also that kids were allowed to stay outside at the pool later than 8 p.m. during the summer, since it's still very hot and 9 p.m. would make more sense. Overall, I definitely recommend getting a membership and not focusing too much on the price. read more

As someone who used to go to this location back when it was a country club--and who has spent plenty of time at the Folsom Life Time--I was genuinely curious how this brand-new Arden gym would measure up. From the outside, it looks promising--palm trees, an impressive facade, and the familiar Life Time logo. But once you step inside, it quickly becomes clear this place isn't quite ready for prime time. One thing that really stood out--and not in a good way--was that it was never communicated to me (or several others I spoke with) that this facility would be opened in phased construction and renovation. I was fully under the impression it would be good to go from the start. For the price they're charging, you'd expect a polished, fully operational experience, not a work-in-progress with construction zones and missing amenities. Let's start with the positives: the men's locker room has a very nice steam room and sauna. It's clean, modern, and feels like something you'd expect in a premium facility. Towel service is readily available, which is always a relief. I also appreciated that when staff noticed unaccompanied minors, they stayed with them until they could identify who they were with and made sure their sponsor came to meet them. Credit where it's due--no one wants to dodge unsupervised teenagers while trying to relax. Beyond that, though, you can see and smell that this facility is still in transition. The outdoor pool area is under construction behind big green fencing. Inside, you'll find little oddities like a bench in the locker room taped off with a sign that literally says "Do Not Sit - Not Secure!!!"--which doesn't exactly inspire confidence when you're paying top dollar. Speaking of top dollar, the bar in the clubhouse is charging $18 for signature cocktails. For that price, you'd think you were in a Vegas resort, but the reality is the space looks like someone retrofitted a wedding venue and called it good. (Fun fact: it actually was a wedding venue--if the slightly stale ballroom smell in the Pilates room didn't tip you off already.) The bartenders were telling other guests there are three stages to this renovation--and they aren't even done with stage one. Why should anyone be paying premium dues when you're basically beta testing a construction site? The clubhouse has a full bar, a pool table, and an indoor golf simulator--though the graphics look like they haven't been updated since the Bush administration, and a couple of the screens looked either damaged or like a questionable design choice. The whole setup reminded me of the John's Incredible Pizza I used to take my kids to--just swap out the arcade games for overpriced cocktails. In the locker room, you'll also find a toilet paper dispenser left unlocked with the keys dangling there--so I guess it's a self-serve supply now. It's those small details that start to add up when you're trying to sell the place as a luxury athletic resort. Then there's the questionable outdoor design: right outside the Pilates studio is a little area with bar tables and loungers set up for tanning. So if you're mid-class, you basically get a front-row seat to shirtless guys and folks in bikinis catching some rays. Personally, I'd rather see that converted into an outdoor jacuzzi with an awning--something that actually fits the vibe they're going for. Another huge drawback is the hours. Folsom and Roseville are open every day from 4 a.m. to midnight, which is fantastic if you have a busy schedule. Arden, on the other hand, has shockingly limited hours--Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., and weekends only 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. For the price of membership, I would fully expect at least the same hours as the other locations, if not 24/7 access. Parking is plentiful for now, though it was busier than I've ever seen--probably because everyone wanted to check out the new facility. Between the unfinished amenities, the missing indoor spa (which will never be there), and all the construction zones, I can't say the excitement will last. And this is the big difference: at Folsom and Roseville, you've got everything--salon and barber services, facials, sometimes even a chiropractor on-site, and an environment that encourages you to spend the entire day with the family. Meanwhile, I barely wanted to stick around Arden long enough to finish my walk-through. If you're expecting the polished, resort-like experience of the other locations, this isn't it. Arden may eventually get there, but for now, they really ought to drop the price down to match the reality, not the brochure. It's no Serrano Country Club. Honestly, I'd call it a solid third place--a notch above In-Shape Natomas, but nowhere near as appealing as Folsom or Roseville. A gym walking with a limp, charging you like it's running a marathon. Rating: 2 out of 5 stars. Maybe I'll update this review once everything is 100% up and running, but right now, it's simply not worth the price. read more

On November 2024, I stopped by this Lifetime location early in the morning. I've visited this gym dozens of times with zero issues, and I've always been a big fan of Lifetime in general. I paid for the top tier access for ALL the gyms across the United States. The experience is usually great, and the staff at most locations are welcoming. But this morning was different. When I checked in, I was immediately questioned by an employee who said she was the manager. She asked if I lived in the area and the way she asked it genuinely shocked me. Not only was her tone rude, but it also made no sense considering how often I've been at this location. When I asked her why she felt the need to question me like that, her answer shifted as she became very nervous as someone who is lying. As a former Detective with seven years in law enforcement and now a full-time entrepreneur who has managed over 200 employees, I can read people very well. The change in her tone was obvious once I challenged the question. She then told me that "not a lot of people have access" to this specific gym because it's the highest-tier club in Lifetime. I've never once been asked this at any Lifetime location. She went as far as asking how long I was "in town," at which point I shared that I have homes in California, Miami, and now Puerto Rico and walked away. No paying customer should ever be spoken to like that. To Lifetime corporate: Please train the managers and staff at this location to provide the same level of customer service that the Folsom location gives every day. Businesses serve their clients not the other way around. I have a large personal brand with millions of followers, and instead of broadcasting this situation publicly on my channels, I'm choosing to address it here so this location can improve. If corporate wants the name of the manager involved or more details, I am more than happy to speak. I've also heard from several associates in the area that this is the one Lifetime location where many people feel unwelcome because it used to be a high-end country club. That reputation is not good for the Lifetime brand, a brand I still love. But until things improve, I now drive an extra 20 minutes to the Folsom location, where the staff is truly A+. read more

Lifetime Fitness in Sacramento was once a former country club and there is still a element there that comes across as certain types of people are not wanted there. read more

I was really excited when I heard lifetime was buying Arden hill and revamping it. Honestly, I think they took it the wrong direction. Nothing is finished and so many advertised services are unavailable. But more than that, they took it from a luxury country club to a strange gym complex. It just doesn't fit. I think they really missed the mark. I think it says something that they're letting people cancel month to month and not locking in contract periods. Must be a lot of complaints. read more
