The location is small but extremely convenient and the acupuncturist is always kind and thorough. I'm lowkey convinced he's a magician because I always have instant pain relief after I leave here. My last visit was for an elbow sprain, I walked in with 8/10 pain and after my 30 minute session I could already feel the relief. By the time I got home, the pain reduced by 50% and my mobility was up. I haven't tried the Chinese herbal medicine portion of the clinic but I'm very interested and will probably look into it soon. I first went to Dr. Liu because of severe chronic pain in my right shoulder. For more than three months, I saw different doctors, tried both Western and Eastern medicine, and even sought out specialists while traveling abroad. Nothing helped. The pain became so severe that I was placed on short-term disability and had to take time off work. It kept me awake at night, pain medication was no longer helping, and surgery was being suggested as the next option. I was actually hesitant to see Dr. Liu because I am terrified of needles. After examining me, he believed the problem was related to my spine and told me I would need about six treatments. Knowing my fear of needles, he treated me with acupressure instead. I remember thinking, How could six treatments possibly help when I had already seen so many doctors? But I gave it a chance, and after six visits, my pain was gone. That experience was the beginning of my trust in Dr. Liu. For the past 18 years, whenever I have had persistent pain or another problem that wasn't improving, he has been someone I trust. My family and I have also recommended him to many friends and relatives over the years, especially when conventional treatment hasn't been able to help them. I also think it's important to remember that no doctor, whether practicing Western or Chinese medicine, can successfully treat every condition for every patient. The doctors I saw before Dr. Liu couldn't resolve my shoulder pain, but that didn't make them bad doctors. Every person's condition and response to treatment is different, and I believe the same fairness should apply when evaluating Chinese medicine. Chinese medicine may also not work the way some people expect. In my experience, sometimes you need to be persistent and complete the recommended course of treatment rather than expecting everything to change after one visit. Of course, everyone has to decide whether a treatment and its cost make sense for them. More recently, Dr. Liu has also been helping my mother while she goes through treatment for lymphoma and liver cancer. She has been through chemotherapy and radiation, and we have used acupuncture with Dr. Liu as supportive care alongside her regular cancer treatment. There have been times after chemotherapy when she was extremely weak and mentally foggy, and I saw noticeable improvement after taking her to Dr. Liu for acupuncture. We would never use acupuncture to replace her oncologists, chemotherapy, radiation, or other medical care. It has simply been another source of support for her during a very difficult time. My experience with Dr. Liu isn't based on one or two visits. It is based on 18 years of trusting him with my health and, now, my mother's as well. If he hadn't helped us, I wouldn't have continued going back for all these years or recommended him to so many people I care about. For that, I will always be deeply grateful to Dr. Liu.

I think he's very friendly and helpful in my recovery and healing journey. Health is something one should not overlook.
