We recently saw the Wizard of Oz show at LifeHouse Theater after not being there for many years. I think we will be back. You can't get better than this with a community theater / production and you can't beat the price. Many of the musical shows are composed in house (like Wizard of Oz) and are unique to this theater which I didn't know - impressive. I was expecting the same songs as you would expect with such a well known musical, but it was all different and just as enjoyable. There was a few times they added Christian element to the story, but it was subtle and not in your face. The singing talent in the cast was pretty good as was the sound system. There is probably not a bad seat in the place as we sat near the back and had no issues. They have boosters for the kids as well. read more

Prices have gone up but so has everything else. It's inflation. I've seen several plays here. I had a season pass on the past when prices were low. Now, I just pay per show. They have some pretty good plays thus year 2024. The theater is in a converted church. It is small and quaint. The tickets were easy to purchase online. Everyone working there are super nice. Going up and down the aisle checking on people. The play I saw the hiding place was well done. Seats were comfy but tight. read more

I've been to at least a dozen performances here and have never been disappointed. It's a very pleasant way to spend a couple hours.

We have never been disappointed watching a show at the Lifehouse Theater. Last night we saw Fiddler on the Roof and it was outstanding. The actors, their singing, their dancing, the stage production, the music, the lighting, the stage direction was all top notch. This is up there with Broadway and West End performances. Nice venue and good show of Joseph. Staff seems really personable and accommodating; real family affair. The cast all were fixed on their parts even while background working. Joseph, your humor didn't go unnoticed, and the little one's were fun to watch as I saw a few mouthing the other upstage actors parts in the background (nice easter egg). read more

Such an adorable little theater! They have many different plays to choose from in the season for around $20 a ticket. There is plenty of parking and you will be fine if you arrive about 15 minutes before. We went to see Les Miserables and it was a great show. The best thing about this theater is that there are no bad seats! Even the last row has a great view and makes for an amazing experience. You can tell the people at this playhouse really care and make you feel at home. They were very friendly and I will be back for shows in the future. Speed of Black was The most spectacular interactive performance I have ever seen in my life and I grew up on Broadway.

My dad and I took my 5 year old daughter and my 8 year old niece to see Mary Poppins and had an incredible experience. There is not a bad seat in the house at the Lifehouse Theater. The entire cast were top notch performers including the children!! The child actors were phenomenal!!! The set was colorful and delightful. I've been to the prestigious Pantages Theater in Hollywood, the Orange County Performing Arts Center, and many shows in Vegas and lots of local theaters and this theater did NOT disappoint!!!! I loved the intimate environment, the quaint snack bar and the welcoming atmosphere. I even loved that at the very end they introduced the Mayor of Redlands as he was in attendance with his wife. I can not wait to be back and one day be a season pass holder. (When the kids are a little older. I have littles right now.) Continue doing what you're doing. This is a wonderful theater! It's our tradition to see a Christmas show here. We have seen 'Its A Wonderful Life' four times now, plus a few years back, we saw 'A Christmas Carol'. The performers are all very good, the staff and crew are friendly and nice. I love how the cast asks the audience to join in the singing of 'Silent Night' at the conclusion of the Christmas plays. The theater itself is very nice, the seats are comfortable, and no matter where you sit, you have a fantastic view of the stage. If you are looking for a fun, and meaningful family night out, try this theater. Very talented performers, good prices on tickets too, and plenty of parking! read more

I was looking forward to this, but I ended up enjoying it even more than I thought I would! The shows are all written by the same guy, and they're really good. Mostly musicals, all original. Some Biblical plays, but most are not (Beauty and the Beast, Phantom of the Opera, Tom Sawyer, etc.). He takes the original stories (from the original books or fairy tales - not from the musicals or movies based on them) and adds in some Biblical messages, but not in an overly cheesy way. The actors are all volunteers, and because of that, it's even more impressive how good of a job they do. Tickets are about $25 each, but if you buy a season pass, it goes down to $19 or $20 each. The great thing about the season passes is you can share the tickets and use multiple on the same day. For example, I just bought a 8-show season pass. I want to see 4 shows coming up this season, so the 8-show pass allows my husband and I to each see 4 shows (= 8 tickets). The season passes come with coupons for a free cookie and coffee, but you can alternatively buy a cookie/coffee combo for only $1.50. read more

Went to see Les Miserables. Nice job by the all volunteer cast. Sounds guys and sound equipment struggled. A couple of the actors didn't realize they were screaming beyond the capacity of the equipment. Overall, an enjoyable time and nice job by everyone. Oh, and Joe was excited about the Dr. Pepper sold at intermission. read more

We, along with friends, were season ticket holders before Covid hit last year and paid for the year right before everything shut down. We loved going, but once things shut down were unable to go anymore. We never saw a penny of our money back. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Thats an issue with their character. They keep emailing to come back and we laugh at the request. Are you kidding? As far as ticket holders are concerned, you took our money and ran. Be careful with these shady people. read more

From the theater itself to the production and the acting, this is a great community theater. Well done Lifehouse - good on ya'. Driving up to the theater it looks like a pretty traditional church, but it's been totally revamped to house a real, full scale theater - not just a gutted church with a stage at the end. On the left side of the lobby is the snack bar serving very good (and cheap) cookies, sodas, and ring pops for the kids. During intermission, a second snack bar is set up outside so you can enjoy your snack in the fresh air. The lobby itself and the hallways are lined with posters from each of Lifehouse's previous productions (very cool pencil or charcoal drawings based on the actual actors from each show). The theater has plush, spacious seating, and is steep enough that short folks won't be blocked by those in front of them. Once you sit down and the show begins you'd never know you were in a converted church. Each of Lifehouse's shows is a newly written and produced musical, so you won't know the songs before it begins. There's definitely an air of excitement when you don't know what you're about to see/here. I was a little hesitant to hear new songs, but they were well written. The costumes and staging are very professional, and the acting is first rate for community theater. You're not going to see Gwyneth Paltrow or Ian McKellan, but you won't confuse this with your local high school production either. This really is good theater. read more

Saw Lifehouse's production of Seussical the Musical at yesterday's (3/8/20) show closing matinee. We went on a friend's recommendation, rolled the dice, and took all the SoCal family -- all twelve of us. We have seen Broadway productions that didn't look as polished. Most of the voices were very good, and the choreography and dancers great. We have never seen so many dancers on a relatively small stage. Did I say the dancers were GOOD? We simply must book seats for their future shows! read more

This is a fabulous playhouse with a cozy feel and always entertaining. As you walk in the door the smell of freshly baked cookies greets you- you can't beat the prices of the concessions, or the tickets for that matter! The cast really puts their hearts into their work and for being a community theater- they have superb talent. I remember the first time I went and saw "To Kill A Mockingbird" and the players came off of the stage after the final bow to meet with the patrons and sign some of the children's autograph books and thought to myself "this place is different- it's special"- and it continues to knock my socks off every time! Having gone to multiple plays here over the past couple of years I have made this theater my "go to" for local entertainment. read more

I absolutely adore this place! My dad and I just enjoyed our seventh season and come every year for his birthday for the holiday plays - we LOVE "It's a Wonderful Life!" Everyone is kind, caring and pleasant - they make you feel right at home. No matter where you sit you'll always have great seats, very intimate setting. The ticket prices are very reasonable!! Keep in mind every actor on stage is a volunteer, it's definitely worth the money you'll pay!! Can't wait for next year already!! read more

"Princess and the Pigs" is an outstanding ORIGINAL musical production by Lifehouse Theater based upon a classic fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. The plot revolves around a spoiled Princess who is taught lessons in humility and humanity by her jilted suitor. The production runs through March 13, 2011 with evening and matinee performances each weekend. Not only has Lifehouse done an amazing job on costumes and scenery, but the leads and major suporting actors are "professional" quality and the original songs and lyrics rival a Disney production. While providing a wonderful, fast-paced story that keeps children riveted, the production's script and songs will have adults humming the songs for days afterwards. A perfect date night!! read more

I've been coming to see Lifehouse shows since the late 1990's. The shows are very well done, ranging from original works to popular classics. We especially like the Biblical shows, but all of the shows are always family friendly and clean, wholesome entertainment. I'd much rather take my kids here than to the movies! A little tip: I think Row E are the best seats, my husband prefers row D because he has more leg room there. Bring a dollar for the fresh baked cookies, you won't be able to resist them when you walk in and smell them cooking :) read more

We are seniors who had season tickets. Due to COVID all shows were cancelled. We are now told that they do not give refunds and to consider our payment a donation since they have expenses. Hello, Seniors are on a fixed income and we also have expenses. The actors are supposedly volunteers from the community. Shame on you Lifehouse for taking advantage of people when others give credit or return your money. read more

Sunday Funday lead us to see Peter Pan at the lifeHouse Theater. The performances were better than expected. Very kid friendly! The kids siting in the first row got sprinkled with fairy dust. :) The seats on the ends have a little more elbow room and every seat seemed to have a good view of the stage, but I wouldn't recommend sitting past row L. After the play the cast welcomed conversation with the audience and took photos. read more

My daughters first show was Wendy in PeterPan. Ever since she has been involved in many productions here and finds it very rewarding and enjoyable. Came here on Sunday afternoon to watch "Moses" which was playing from April 2nd-May 1st 2016. My sister and I arrived close to 2:30pm when the play started at 2:15pm. A friend of mine was participating and was cast as pharaoh on this play so I came here with some friends for the first time. My gf loves musicals so this was a great place to come visit. I liked the variety of songs they made up. It was also pretty much very biblically accurate which I loved. Also a very family friendly atmosphere. The volunteers took the time to greet you, help you find your seats and were super nice. The bathrooms are outside so try to go beforehand as the lines get pretty long especially if your waiting for a spot on the women's restroom. The whole theatre by the way was pretty packed and everyone talking outside during the intermission seemed to love it. A lot of laughs occurred... Maybe cause I thought it was a bit cheesy but I enjoyed laughing none the less. Go pharaoh! Go check this place out if your in the area and call for future showings! read more

Seven in our family went yesterday to see Peter Pan. The costumes, particularly the pirates, are great! The actors have obviously really gotten into making themselves look like a motley crew. The acting was excellent. The sad thing is, the sound was very bad. Often the voices could not be heard and often the narration could not be heard -- at times you could tell there was narration, but not be able to make out what was being said. There was lots of action and great dancing -- the choreography was so good. Captain Hook did overcome the bad sound mix. He enunciates clearly and projects clearly, so he could be heard and understood, even with the not-so-good sound mix. All the actors put their hearts into the performance, so with sound improvement, this would be a dynamite show. It is so great to go to a show where you can count on there being no garbage. The theater is small and the seats go up at a sharp incline, so there is not a bad seat in the house. I really hope they are able to improve the sound because I want this group to be very successful. For everything but the sound, I give them an A++. Oh, and another thing -- at the end the actors all sat down at the front of the stage and gave autographs. That was a super nice touch -- my granddaughter really got into that. read more
