Start over again....TDS levels are too high. The system does not preform as stated. It treats minerals but does not remove them. I scrapped the 10,000 dollar system after they visited and tried to charge me an additional 750.00 for a filter change that only serves 1 year. That's right, marry this company for 750.00 a year! Feels Like We Got Scammed -- LifeSource Water System Doesn't Work! I rarely leave reviews, but this one is well deserved. We invested in a LifeSource water system expecting cleaner, softer water -- and honestly, it's been a total disappointment. On Sunday, October 26, we noticed thick white calcification building up on our glass vases and fixtures. It looked like we never had a filtration system at all. So we ran a water test comparing regular tap water with the LifeSource "filtered" water... and guess what? No difference whatsoever. Both samples showed the same level of contamination. It's like the system does absolutely nothing. We called customer service right away, stressing that this was urgent. They promised a call back Monday -- no one called. We followed up Tuesday, got the same promise -- again, nothing. Later that day, they finally told us that no technician could come out until November 5. Over a week later! For something that could impact our health, that's just unacceptable. Between the useless filtration and the nonexistent customer service, this company has been a nightmare to deal with. For the price they charge, you'd expect quality and accountability -- but instead, we're stuck with hard, unfiltered water and zero support. read more

The first thing a water filter company should do when you have the first service appointment at your house is to take a sample of your water and they need to test to find out what's in your water before trying to sell you any of their products, because they'll need to know if their product can actually remove the bad things that are in your water which include but are not limited to: heavy metals, VOCs, plastics, PFAs and microplastics, disinfection products, drugs and Pharmaceuticals, Oil, Gas and BTEX, Fertilizers, Radiation, Bacteria, Pesticides, Dioxane, Chemicals, Acids and Nitrates. Then once you know what's in your water, you'll know what you need removed from your water in order to make it safe for you to drink. I did not know the above information when I purchased the Life Source System and it was subsequently installed May 2023 by Life Source of San Diego. Anyways, I was really excited because I had expressed to my sales rep that the main goal was that I could drink out of the faucet and stop using bottled water. Then in August, I sent in my water that was being filtered by the LifeSource system into Tap Score where they run tests and show you what's in your water and if it's actually safe to drink. The results showed that there were still heavy metals in my water including Arsenic and Lead, and indicated that prolonged drinking of this water being filtered by Life Source could leave to potential harmful side effects including cancers. I attached 2 screenshots so you can see the results. I did speak to LifeSource about this and basically they said that they never said their system removed hard metals. Its almost like you have to become a water expert yourself and know what questions to ask before you buy these expensive filtration systems, because of course they won't tell you all the things that need to be removed from the water to make it 100% safe to drink directly from the faucet. If you do have hard metals in your water, the only thing that can remove them is Reverse Osmosis, so on top of the LifeSource system, we also had to purchase an RO system at the faucet as well. Their filtration system does still remove things like VOCs, Plastics, and a bunch of other stuff from the water; however,1) they should have first tested my water and told me what was in it, to tell me what they would need to remove from it to make it safe for me to drink and they didn't do that. 2) The system they recommended for me does not remove heavy metals like arsenic or lead, which my water has in it, and the only thing that does remove those materials are reverse osmosis. 3) I spoke to their sale mgr about my concerns and they basically said, we never told you it removed heavy metals -- so basically they are relying on me to become my own water expert to know what specific questions I am supposed to ask which is absurd I feel taken advantage of because I expressly stated my goal was to drink water directly from the faucet so we could stop using plastic bottles, and this company sold me their product that they knew could not remove heavy metals and therefore, did not meet my goal, but they sold me the product anyways to make the sale. read more

We recently moved to San Diego and the first thing we noticed was the hard water. We are still working on removing all the limescale from our fixtures and appliances, but man, it's bad. Bought my LifeSource system while in Vegas, early in Covid, after a good friend said it cured her toddlers eczema. Just moved back to SoCal, and decided to bring it with me. I'm so glad I did. We needed to conserve space so they installed both tanks one behind the other instead of side-by-side, so I could continue to use the wall and floor space nearby. They had to figure out how to install the piping so the system would work, which they did with great success. Since I have worked with Jimmy in the past, he was at his best this time as well; very competent, listened to and responded to my concerns about what might be possible in placing the tanks, and was ably assisted by Jesus, who is younger, less experienced than Jimmy, who has at least 20 years with LifeSource, but Jesus was eager to learn and very accurate in all the work he did with Jimmy. About a year ago we asked LifeSource to replace our old system they installed about 20 years prior. As expected our new system has worked flawlessly, and we have been extremely pleased with it. However, due to an unrelated water pressure regulator problem, an old pre-filter leading into our LifeSource system started to leak. Upon contacting them about our problem, they advised us about how to bypass the system to stop the leak. Soon thereafter they sent their technician, Kylle, out to tackle the problem. He knew exactly what to do: promptly removed the old redundant filter, and soldered in a new piece of copper pipe. Our service was restored in minutes. Kylle was very personable and engaging. There systems are a fraud. I spent 7K putting in their system and I have to filter all my drinking water. My toilets developed black rings that I have to scrub out with pomis stone. My coffee cups have to be cleaned with cleanser. I called customer service and they basically said "too bad". read more

The only thing I will say is there is no follow up. The salesperson that sold the system said he might stop by during installation. He never showed.
