Spent $7,300 for LifeSource, but my TDS meter shows 376 ppm--far from the 'Ideal' limit of 50 ppm. Shocking results for a premium system!

This shows that the score for Life Source filtered water is lower than both CA state and national averages.

The first thing a water filter company should do when you have the first service appointment at your house is to take a sample of your water and they need to test to find out what's in your water before trying to sell you any of their products, because they'll need to know if their product can actually remove the bad things that are in your water which include but are not limited to: heavy metals, VOCs, plastics, PFAs and microplastics, disinfection products, drugs and Pharmaceuticals, Oil, Gas and BTEX, Fertilizers, Radiation, Bacteria, Pesticides, Dioxane, Chemicals, Acids and Nitrates. Then once you know what's in your water, you'll know what you need removed from your water in order to make it safe for you to drink. I did not know the above information when I purchased the Life Source System and it was subsequently installed May 2023 by Life Source of San Diego. Anyways, I was really excited because I had expressed to my sales rep that the main goal was that I could drink out of the faucet and stop using bottled water. Then in August, I sent in my water that was being filtered by the LifeSource system into Tap Score where they run tests and show you what's in your water and if it's actually safe to drink. The results showed that there were still heavy metals in my water including Arsenic and Lead, and indicated that prolonged drinking of this water being filtered by Life Source could leave to potential harmful side effects including cancers. I attached 2 screenshots so you can see the results. I did speak to LifeSource about this and basically they said that they never said their system removed hard metals. Its almost like you have to become a water expert yourself and know what questions to ask before you buy these expensive filtration systems, because of course they won't tell you all the things that need to be removed from the water to make it 100% safe to drink directly from the faucet. If you do have hard metals in your water, the only thing that can remove them is Reverse Osmosis, so on top of the LifeSource system, we also had to purchase an RO system at the faucet as well. Their filtration system does still remove things like VOCs, Plastics, and a bunch of other stuff from the water; however,1) they should have first tested my water and told me what was in it, to tell me what they would need to remove from it to make it safe for me to drink and they didn't do that. 2) The system they recommended for me does not remove heavy metals like arsenic or lead, which my water has in it, and the only thing that does remove those materials are reverse osmosis. 3) I spoke to their sale mgr about my concerns and they basically said, we never told you it removed heavy metals -- so basically they are relying on me to become my own water expert to know what specific questions I am supposed to ask which is absurd I feel taken advantage of because I expressly stated my goal was to drink water directly from the faucet so we could stop using plastic bottles, and this company sold me their product that they knew could not remove heavy metals and therefore, did not meet my goal, but they sold me the product anyways to make the sale.

We've recently purchased a brand new home. As the last house was without a whole-house filter and conditioning/softener system, I was determine nNOT to repeat the same mistake. An extensive research was made during the construction phase, and many systems to choose from, I have met with DJ from LifeSource and gone over all the details. Needless to say, although not the lowest found, the decision was made at a cost lower than most other systems. Within a day from signing, the office called and setup my installation appointment. Today, KYLLE & JOE came and installed the system. The service was quick, clean and simple, and the whole house is now enjoying clean and conditioned water.

We just had our water system installed today by Kylle and Joe. They were friendly and very professional! They did such clean work. Our water system looks great and we are so excited to use it! Thanks LifeSource!

Superb! From the quick response and evaluation by Skip Harry to the fast and professional setup by Jimmy and Kylle, I can not be happier! My house was built in the 50s, and they figured out my water system in no time at all. Quite a feat! They even installed a brand new shut-off valve so I wouldn't have to go to my main meter outside. Hats off to LifeSource!

I had done some research ahead of time and knew basically what I needed. Chuck came by and didn't try to sell us anything more than we needed. He was quick with testing the water, reviewing the space, and providing a quote. The quote was competitive and he answered all my questions with everything I was looking to understand. During the install day, the team showed a bit late but still made it. They got to work and did a very clean job. No mess and everything is neatly installed. All piping works for my space and doesn't require me to sacrifice my garage. The crew was professional and even made a wiring change when I requested. I couldn't believe they managed to get the equipment in the small space beside my existing shelves. I previously had an under the skin RO but decided to upgrade since mine was 10 years old. The new filtered water is great, not much better than the previous RO though. It does take significantly less space under the sink. The softened water is great too. I wouldn't drink it, it has a briny taste, but I've noticed significant improvements to my fixtures I'm trying to protect plus my hair feels so much nicer. I'm happy with the purchase and experience.

[Parking]: There is an exclusive parking spot right in front of the shop, but parking should generally be available within the plaza. However, the parking lot has several blind spots so be cautious while navigating through this lot. [Price]: Regular drinking water is $0.35 per gallon without membership and $0.30 per gallon with membership. Kangen water or alkaline water is $1.50 per gallon without membership and $1.40 per gallon with membership. 11.5 pH / 2.5 pH water is $3.00 per gallon. Credit cards are accepted, but there is an approximate 3% surcharge which I only realized after checking my receipt. [Service]: The staff member is friendly, but this is mostly a self-service station. I had to clean my own water bottles and fill my own water. To fill Kangen water, follow these steps: (1) Turn on the faucet. (2) Select your desired setting by pressing the button on the touch screen. (3) Ensure the machine is not in cleaning mode. (4) Direct the hose into your water bottle. (5) Shut off the faucet once your bottle is full. There are two Kangen water machines, so you can turn on both faucets simultaneously to speed up the filling process. The lone staff member occasionally offers assistance on the filling process, but I always end up carrying my 5-gallon water bottle back to my car myself. [Conclusion]: While I have experienced better service at other water shops, this location is still a convenient stop for anyone who is looking for Kangen water or just regular drinking water. P.S. - There are two 24/7 water dispensers located at the storefront.

One of the companies I called was Diamond Pure Water and I spoke with Mike. I also called a number of other companies & it was clear they weren't interested in spending the time texting & on the phone with me that Mike did. He set me up with a great dual catalytic carbon filter (to completely remove chloramines) & a soft water filter ( to treat hard water & remove calcium & magnesium).
