Our entire area is fraught with pinhole leaks and we knew we wanted a water conditioning or purification system; after researching over 7 water systems, we decided to go with Pure Elements; because we care deeply about the environment we did not want a salt-based purifier. The system is supposed not only to stop future pinhole leaks, but also to eliminate waterborne chemicals: chlorine or chloramines from the water system environment, and to protect against hard-water build up. We are now at the one year mark of having enjoyed the Pure Elements system for our home, so this may be the best time for this review. We love how care- and maintenance-free it is; almost hard to believe there's really nothing we need to do for regular maintenance. From Fiona our sales rep right through to Jake the installer of the system a couple of weeks ago. It took a couple of days to notice the difference in water quality inside the house, but I'm amazed at the change. No cloudiness and it tastes so much better. I want to call our Jake for the incredible attention to detail with the installation. He routed our house water under some concrete pads and the waste water also under some concrete pads into our front garden. He scraped away the stone covering of our yard before trenching and once trenching and laying of new pipework was complete, he replaced the top cover of stone. My husband and I have been happy customers for many years. I discovered Pure Elements Water after having two pinhole leaks within 3 months in the same line -- 7 slab leaks total, in 42 years. We have not had a pinhole leak since we got the system! Only a leak from a poorly installed angle stop under a bathroom cabinet, but zero pinholes. In our experience, his system works. Also, his is the only one I've seen that is backed up by independent lab reports. The water tastes delicious, smooth and soft in your mouth, like spring water. Dark clothes fade less, too. Still have hard water deposits, but not quite as bad. Our water here is very hard without the rainfall, so you can only expect so much unless you get the second system which removes fluoride. As a holistic health aware person, I know that you are what you consume and what you absorb through your skin and lungs, as well. So, we took the plunge and have never been disappointed. I have had Pure Elements Water for 18mos and it has made such a difference in so many ways. I no longer have to carry heavy water bottles from the store so we all (including my dogs) can enjoy fresh filtered water. I contacted Pure Elements Water over a month ago to get a reverse osmosis installed in our second office as we had one installed in our current office. Rick was amazing at communication and surveying the area where we wanted the unit installed. Unfortunately due to circumstances out of my control, we did not move forward with getting that system installed. Rick was kind and understanding about our decision and still made me feel like a valued customer. The decision was made to move our system from our old office to our new one. I took it upon myself to uninstall the system but when it came to re-installing it, I ran into some issue. Rick has contacted me first by phone and then by text. He wants me to remove or change my rating. I wanted to change it but did not see how on Yelp!. First, let me say I am not sure by San Francisco is associated with my name. I am in Rancho Mirage, CA. My overall recommendation is to get a whole house filter system that is designed for the desert. The water straight out of the tap is a bit cloudy, crystal pure. After a very long phone conversation in response to my initial review, it seems to solve the calcification issue, I need a water softener at the tune of several thousand more dollars. If I were to go that route, I would be back to using bottled water. Between the build up on our water boiler, the stainless pet water bowl, the bird bath, and various faucets, not sure that all the benefits for the money are evident. However, Rick is passionate about the quality of his water relative to mineral content and is obviously very concerned about the company's reputation. I purchased three water filters (Sep. 2018) for myself, my dad's home and my sister's to prevent any further leaks in the copper pipes. I first did the homework to find the cause (FDA mandate to add ammonia to chlorinated water) then contacted several companies. I finally decided on Pure Elements Water for the fix. Water samples were independently tested before and after the tank installations. Chloramines (ammonia + chlorine), which attack copper, were eliminated by apox. 95% +. RICK, NICK, & the PURE ELEMENTS WATER company are a pleasure to work with. My home had a pinhole leak about 1.5 years ago. We had the leak fixed, but have since been concerned about the high possibility of another pinhole leak occurring, especially since this is any issue for many of the homes in our area. For about 1.5 years now, my husband and I have been researching options, including PEX or the EPOXY lining. We even had several companies quote us for both PEX and EPOXY. We know of several individuals that have repiped their home with PEX, however felt this option was too aggressive, since this would create multiple holes throughout our entire home. Furthermore, after researching the pro/cons of PEX and although certain companies did provide a good warranty, we felt that at this time PEX was definitely the most aggressive option, especially since we had a functioning copper pipe system at this time. Another option we debated was EPOXY lining of the existing copper pipes. This was a more conservative option to PEX. However most of the companies that had provide us with quotes did not provide a warranty that stood behind their work -- meaning if the epoxy failed and there was a leak -- the best warranty we found was a company that would fix the leak at no charge, but collateral damage was not covered. Which to us meant that they were not confident that there would not be another pinhole leak after the EPOXY lining. It seemed that both PEX and EPOXY were addressing the damage caused by chemicals in the water, mainly chloramine. BUT neither addressed the main cause: the water chemistry -- the chemicals in the water itself that are causing the damage. In search for a more conservative option to PEX, we actually found PURE ELEMENTS WATER FILTRATION SYSTEM. The website, the information I found online, and Rick the owner, helped me understand that their water filtration system actually addresses the main cause -- the chemicals (mainly chloramine) that are causing the damage to the copper pipes, leading to the pinhole leaks. I contacted Rick on the YELP app, and he responded right away, and I was able to speak with him on the phone that day for more than 1 hour -- and this was on a weekend day (not a weekday!) Rick was extremely knowledgeable, informative, friendly, and attentive It was obvious that he had a lot of passion and experience about water. After the conversation, Rick agreed to meet in person with my husband and I, and was even very accommodating with the meeting time. When he arrived to our house, he was on time and spent over 1.5 hours educating us. He helped us realize that his filtration system is NOT like all other filtration systems out there, because his filtration system is actually customized to address the type of water and chemicals coming into your home in your community. After reviewing the pro/cons of all our options, my husband and I decided to move forward with the PURE ELEMENTS WATER FILTRATION SYSTEM. On the day of installation, Nick from the company came to build us a customized set up for our home and for our custom built Pure Elements Water Filtration Tank. Nick was friendly, efficient, and his work was very clean. Rick (the owner), Nick, and the entire Pure Elements Team have been nothing but helpful and accommodating. We look forward to now having drinking water from each faucet, as well as removal of the chemicals from the water, that have been the source and cause of the pinhole leaks. I love the taste and feel of my water! I just had the system installed, and saved the "before" water to taste test. There is definitely a huge change in flavor. Reminds me of Penta water - no chlorine scent. It took about a day for the water to settle since I had to have pipes soldered, but I'm really happy with the result. My installer was also very professional - punctual, polite, and tidy. Rick answered all of my questions (which were numerous) and patiently waited for me to be ready to purchase it. I looked at other water systems and appreciate how PureElements had the most scientific data and wasn't really pushy. I hate sales pitches, and the other companies that came out kept trying to sell fear and not facts about water quality. I also like how PureElements does the water systems for some really big builders - it's not a fly-by-night company. To last as long as they have in this industry, you have to be good. This company is great to work with. We've had our system installed for a week and half now and the difference in our water is amazing! Less spots on our shower and sinks, clear ice cubes, the taste is perfectly clean and pure. It feels so different showering -- the steam is actually different, so clean. Our whole house Pure Elements Water filtration system was installed May 2021. Within 6 months we began having a significant amount of calcification build on our auto water pot and the pets' water bowl. We thought this was an adjustment perior. However; it has not slowed. Also, we did not get detailed user documentation so we do not know when to have the filter changed. I seemed to remember during the sales pitch it was annual. My husband remembers them telling us it was being monitored and they would let us know when it needed to be replaced. Since I had the question on the filter and the observation on the calcification, I sent 2 emails to our local contact. I have received zero response in two month. So, while the filter system sounds good and the water has a better flavor (no flavor), it is cloudy out of the faucet, causing build up on metal, and no answers on the filter. We have been enjoying spring-like water from Pure Elements since January 2016 after experiencing two slab leaks within three months in our Laguna Niguel home. We've had six slab leaks in the 38 years that we've owned the house, and slab leaks have been one of my biggest fears. As a holistic health practitioner, it is of utmost importance to me for our household to drink and bathe in water that is as pure as it can possibly be. The only slight disappointment in our water is that there's been virtually no improvement in the minerals sticking to our fixtures; perhaps over time that will improve. We have the conditioner only, no extra tank for removing fluoride, which I'm sure would greatly reduce or eliminate the minerals and the sticking. For fluoride removal in drinking water, we use a Zero Water large pitcher in our fridge. After several years of replacing six separate filters and a UV light in a monstrosity of a water filtration system, to the tune of $400 per year, and spending 4 hours each time trying to seat O-rings properly into the filter housings without leaking at full pressure, I was done. My system has been working perfectly since installation 7 years ago in 2010. Rick and his technicians have diligently contacted me for follow-up service. I love the fact that I can drink water from any faucet in the house and that I never have to buy bottled water. I have containers I use to refill and drink water on the go.
