I was referred to the salon at Lifetime Fitness by a coworker after having a very unfortunate dye experience. I was able to schedule an appointment very quickly and get in the same week I called. After explaining my issues to the receptionist who answered, I was put with Donna, who she assured me would be able to help solve my hair troubles. It turns out, she was 100% right! Donna did a full balayage and toned my hair - and exceeded all of my expectations! I came out smiling and thrilled that my hair was exactly how I had envisioned it. She was extremely attentive to my needs, and did a wonderful job. I couldn't thank her enough! I highly recommend everyone go to the salon at Lifetime, the staff are kind, helpful, and want to make you happy! As an added bonus, if you are not a member of the Lifetime, you get to use the gym/sauna/pool on the day of your appointment, free of charge! Had my first coloring done here. Mind you, I have dark Asian hair and getting it colored to a light brown base with golden highlights was a leap of faith for me because I wasn't sure how it was gonna turn out (if it'll come out brassy/orange :/). My stylist was Donna, as referred to by one of the Lifetime employees. I told her what I wanted and showed her some pictures of what I was going for. Sure enough, after a couple of hours patiently waiting, my hair came out fantastic! She did a heavy foil and on my second visit (after my roots grew out), she did a heavy balayage. Both procedures resulted in amazing color/highlights and I have received a lot of compliments! She has been my only stylist for coloring and cut since I set foot at the LifeSpa! I got a balayage and haircut by Donna today and I couldn't be happier with the results! In full disclosure, I had never colored my hair before (virgin hair as some might call it), and I was nervous about how it would turn out. I requested Donna after reading multiple yelp reviews, and she exceeded my expectations. I have thicker Asian hair, which isn't the easiest to work with, but I could tell right away that Donna knew what she was doing and she very willingly answered all my naive questions throughout the balayage process. Donna made sure not to rush applying each layer of color and washed the right side of my hair after my left to allow for the color to set for the same amount of time on both sides. I was anxious about the color turning out either too light/brassy or too subtle/unnoticeable but the end result was the perfect balance of natural honey brown for me. Donna knows best! read more

LifeSpa can do no wrong. I have gone there multiple times for different services and have always walked out with my expectations exceeded (which says a lot because I am pretty picky; I once walked out of Bumble & Bumble in NYC in tears!). I've had a pedi and regular + gel manis with Wilma a few times, who has always done an amazing job. My nails are clean and perfect-looking. Friends and even random strangers have taken the time to compliment- I was holding my credit card out to pay and a cashier asked me, "Are those your real nails? They look great!" I have also had a cut + style/blowout. It was my first time with her and brave of me, because it was for my engagement party in a few hours. But again, I had been to LifeSpa so I was pretty sure I'd receive great service. I was right, thankfully! She miraculously made my usually flat-ish hair voluminous and textured, just what I wanted, and it held. At the party, my friends said I looked like the "other Kardashian sister", which okay, in all other instances aren't prime role models-- but they have ridiculously great hair. I've had my brows + lips waxed by Nasrin (I am hoping that was her name...), who is the sweetest lady. She really took the time to make my brows look amazing and perfect. LifeSpa at Florham Park is a great spa. The hair stylists are all quite good, and when my regular stylist is not available, I have no problem using someone else. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and will greet you kindly, asking if you would like water or tea. I had a massage the other day with Deedee and she was quite amazing. Great deep tissue massage and excellent use of pressure points to relieve tension. Double thumbs up! I walked out of there on cloud 9. Next time I am booking 90 minutes! read more

My color is always beautiful and exactly what I want! I seriously don't know what I would do if I didn't find him . Today He cut my hair for the first time . And of course it looks great ! As a long time LiftTime fitness member, I myself had have haircut at LifeSpa a few times and I have been taking my daughter there as well. We were quite happy with them until today when my daughter had her first hair coloring. After it's done the hair dresser casually asked us whether we needed the hair to be dried. Yes of course. I didn't think too much. After all we'd like to see the effect. It was done in short time and hair was still damp. But we were told it was hair coloring + blow dry, so additionally $46 for blow dry. I was very very surprised. Previous haircuts with LifeSpa always ended with blow dry and We were never charged an added fee. If LifeSpa changed its fee structure, she could have told me when she asked me whether we wanted to dry the hair. My daughter had her hair cut a week ago with the same hairdresser and was asked the same question but at that time we chose not to and therefore got the surprise today. And at that time there was also a minor unpleasant issue- online booking shows the price would be $31, we were charged $35, before tip. I don't think we'll be back again. Update, the Salon manager told me that because my daughter's hair is long so the hairdresser decided it is $4 more for cut. Who would knew so much secrecy. read more

I have chronic back pain - like "have you recently been a car accident?" bad. Maybe because of this I have a high pain tolerance, as it needs to be deep to make any difference on me. I usually opt for Deep Tissue. I walked into LIfeSpa, all crippled over as usual, for my appointment with Alexa. I heard she was good. At first I thought, she isn't going to have the strength to get into my knots so this is going to be a nice feel-good massage... Boy was I wrong! I get color services at lifetime spa and it's the best!!! Donna is my lady; always on . I have super dark hair and she was so patient in making sure the balayage came out perfect. It's hard to get the color to be right without brassiness, but 3 hours later...we did it. I don't even see anyone else for coloring. She's the color queen! read more

Great service got my hair colored and o had no problems. Im giving it 4 stars because the receptionist booked my blowout and at the time of service she said she didn't so they can make more money off the service after me. But color process was good. No blowout tho. Very not nice read more
